The kid is a complete tool, and it's absolutely an attention-whoring thing. He's like Charles Roberts, only doesn't (relatively speaking) produce nearly as much. Unless you're putting up huge numbers, you don't allow this kind of personality to poison your locker room.

the league desperately needs retraction...not expansion. Too many teams = too many sub-par players to fill out the rosters. If we went back to 21 teams, you'd see the level of hockey increase dramatically because there'd only be room for the best of the best players.

this one maybe doesn't have the mass appeal of Leggett, but it's a solid, underrated move. Greaves has been a consistent performer and is a great guy to have locked up.

Yeah, that's probably the most important information (to me) coming outta all this. The fact that he's willing to sign a big extension backs up the very positive things he has to say about the organization as a whole. This seems, to me, that the culture change is really happening...

The biggest thing for guys like Beliveau, and Gretzky more so than anyone else, is they're just so much smarter than everyone else, that they'd find ways to adapt. Anytime some stupid kid tries to compare Crosby to Gretzky and say that Gretzky couldn't score in today's NHL, I just snort and laugh.
