He's a died-in-the-green-wool Rider, through and through...he KNOWS he's going to be the GM there before too long....he has zero interest in coming to Winnipeg. And that's not the kind of guy I'd shell out big bucks for, to try and pry him away. Totally not worth it.

To me, the most important thing McManus brings (apparently...) is instant credibility to an organization in dire need. Just curious (and am being sincere...) what makes O'Shea a good candidate, other than the media saying so for every open job the last few years?

What's worse, I know people who were "fans" of other teams, who went there and bought IN to that bullshit, and are now Rider "fans" and tell everyone else that same bullshit about "you have no choice..you live here..." Get ******...

No thanks. How you can do it I have no idea. True story that I would never get hired to do radio in Regina because I couldn't talk up the Riders. I've had that discussion with people from there before, and it's probably the only market in the country that I can think of, where you absolutely have to buy in to the Rider culture, because it's so ingrained in the entire province. "You're one of us, or get out" is truth there...

In fairness, it's a pretty fun place. Just don't tell 'em where you're from...
