So, I'm listening to TSN 1290 for pretty much the first time (online from Calgary...) and I know Bauming is still learning, and he'll come along, but God bless Chris Walby 'cause he's carrying this show. Thank goodness he's got the wide shoulders to do it. He's really the only real professional on this broadcast. Westwood.......eeeeesh.
Well, Dave and I decided to buy a case of Winnipeg beer for this afternoon, so we found some Half Pints Li'l Scrapper IPA at a Calgary liquor store. Seems appropriate to drink the 'Toba booze today and salute the boys. #GOBLUE
bee-tee-dubs, I'm some kinda excited to join the chat room tonight with a good buzz on...woo...
Never mind the Rider fans being upset that Durant was ranked higher than Ray...I read something online this week that said Ray is the best QB in the league "...Now that AC has retired..." Ummm.....?? Calvillo was never, at any point, at the same level as Frito. Not close. Frito is without a doubt, the best since Flutie.
Gonna be a great day. Similar weather here in AB. Finish work around 10am, then heading into Calgary around Noon for some pre-gaming. Absolutely can't wait for Knuckles and the pre-game show!!
WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! GAME DAY: WE ALL PLAY.
Honest to God...I really gotta find another line of work, so I can move home and get seasons again. All this cool **** I'm missing is pissing me off....
It's really cool that TSN tries to do as much as they can to hype up the league, but the "preview" stuff is always kinda fluffy because the national broadcaster doesn't have enough info on what's going on in each city. They need more input from the regional beat guys to make that worthwhile.
Still, CFL stuff is CFL stuff. Anything to get prepped for the season. I'm personally in the middle of that Bombes 75th Anniv book that Bob Irving did back in 2005, and tomorrow I'm planning on watching the Bomber Traditions dvd with 17to85 over a glass of rye...

Says you...how much of that 3-15 is Burke's fault? You're justifying conclusions with your personal beliefs. That's way too much of a 17to85 -type of rationale...be better than that STL...
If he was healthy, I'd expect a solid, albeit unspectacular, game from Grigsby, but since he's apparently injured...I'm just hoping it's enough to keep the defense honest and give our passing game a chance to get going...
When things are in the past, a classy person takes the high road and says nice things. You gain nothing by shitting on everyone and the whole situation. But this shows me Burke's true colours. Thank goodness for MOS (...so far...)
One of Wade Miller's first acts as El Presidente was to pay out all terminated contracts. Only people on the books are those currently employed. It's a good feeling to have.
