2003 his numbers were ok too, it was just in comparison to 01 and 02 that they looked poor. Was still over 4000 yards I believe and did win 11 games that season. I think your bias against Glenn is over looking what he did in 2007 as well, though it would be debatable.

I'd cheer for a cloned Hitler if he could win us a Grey Cup. I'd cheer for Hitler before Burris for what it's worth.
-
I'd see one DT being replaced not 2... I think our LBs are fine and the dbs depending on whether last year was just a down year for some of a sign of games falling off a cliff can play it fine too.
-
you think half the defense can't play? Care to start listing them? Cause I think you're going to come up with less than half the names on D.

You're still missing the point here. It was Rider fans who screamed louder than anyone about the Esks cheating when they were over the cap and winning even though the cap back then was even less enforced. Now though it's just the way business is done when it's the Riders doing it. We're laughing at their hypocritical nature here nothing more nothing less.

in the summer.

The number one reason to not want Burris here is because he's the douchiest ****** that ever douched. He's not a winner and he's a fair weather qb. Keep that ******* off my team please. It would be very hard to cheer for the Bombers with Burris as qb.

aww that's cute, you don't understand the joke.

BC has maintained the 4-3 right? I don't see a switch to 3-4 any time soon.

I expect the Riders will be over the cap & whether it's $1 or $100,000, to me it's still cheating. It's only cheating when Edmonton does it. When "Canada's team" does it then it's not really cheating cause everyone loves the riders and wants them to win.

Khari Jones enroute to Winnipeg according to Jim Toth

But what a pass it was! -
Miller in my mind hasn't accomplished a great deal, but I'll give him credit for accomplishing two things: The fan base is excited again about the Bombers, and we have hired an HC from outside of the organization that we are receiving praise for from other CFL cities. Not praise. The media here in Calgary snickers & are for the most part disbelievers at all the hirings. They don't believe they can turn the team around. I think the rest of the league falls into that category because of the youth & inexperience. The Stamps fanbase on both fan sites feel sorry for Bomber fans. Most think we are great fans that deserve a lot better. But sports media and fans in Calgary are all ******* ******* so I wouldn't put any stock into their opinions. I actually saw someone in a Calgary paper back in 2006 make the claim that Dion Phaneuf was just as good as Chris Pronger.
-
Doesn't matter, whoever they hired he'd be snide and negative about them. That's all he does.

Hey Winnipeg moving to the west just makes his Bomber fandom that much easier to justify too.

Pffft Tim Burke was just given a steaming pile of crap as a roster to work with. I don't think anyone could coach these guys into winners. I am just so happy that next years team is not going to be as lifeless and gutless as the Tim Burke teams. O'Shea just seems like the kind of person who won't put up with that kind of ****. Players will either do the job and put in the effort or they'll be out on their ass.

Milt going to Morris MB to help business owner

I don't know what the stats are but I do recall reading a ton of things stating that owning a restaurant or bar is basically asking for a failed business. So much competition and thin profit margins you gotta get people through the door constantly to make it work. -
yeah THAT is the difference... come on man, stamps have an established qb and a top notch coaching staff, Bombers had broken Buck Pierce and a bunch of lame duck coaches but it's the difference in how they ran free agent camps that seperated them. Seriously you gotta get off this blind hatred for Joe Mack and start looking at things more objectively.

Wpg FP Reports Cortez and Bellefuille In The Hunt for WBB HC Job
17to85 replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
If they hire Cortez it pretty much cements Burris as the teams QB. Another reason I want a different HC. Why? Because he's a free agent? Based on that logic (and more logically IMO) it would mean the team goes hard after Drew Willy. He has familiarity with the system, he's a polished passer, and he isn't 39 by kickoff next June. Cause they've got such a history in Calgary and Hamilton and he's the only real veteran option that's going to be a free agent, and because they had such a good offence together in Hamilton... Come on, it's pretty obvious who the guy would pick if he was given the option of actually picking his own qb. -

Cortez just strikes me as too much like hiring Burke to be HC. There were more red flags with that guy as head coach in hamilton than just the defence,
