  1. Durant has said in the past that he has trouble with the crowd noise in Winnipeg. Anything he says before this one is probably just trying to convince himself he can handle it, so far though he seems to struggle playing in Winnipeg.
  2. TIL the Russian for no hotlinking images.
  3. **** the Riders. beating them 52-0 would be too good for them. I don't like all the injuries we got though and I'm expecting the worst but hoping for the best.
  4. Chevon Walker is one of the softest running backs I have ever seen in the CFL. Quick and shifty? Yep, but soft as butter between the tackles. He is the worst offender for the "either makes a huge play for a touchdown or gets completely shut down" category. I can not believe the redblacks have stuck with him all year. It's the easiest position to recruit for how in gods name did they not find a better option?
  5. if you already have the account going it's probably not too late to jump in the group.
  6. Honestly I don't notice any difference between XL of the different types. I bought one of the latest round of royal blues and the XL seems the same as the rest going back to the Puma jerseys from the early 2000s.
  7. You're not impressed with Turner when statistically he's having one of his best years? He's got 5 sacks already so far, his career high is 7... and 16 tackles already and his career high in that catergory is 20. Methinks you have unrealistic expectations of a defensive tackle. If we were to get Bilukidi up here the obvious place for him to go is the other position where we play Thomas a bunch of snaps.
  8. seemed to take em a while to figure it out but now they seem to have it all sorted.
  9. You know what the worst part is? It means we're probably going to get Black and Forde tomorrow for the Banjo Bowl. Blech. I think it will be Cuthbert and Suitor for the BB. With 2 games tomorrow and the early game in the east? Unless they have Gord Miller and Matt Dunigan do one of the games all signs point to Black and Forde taking the quick flight to Winnipeg to do the 2nd game tomorrow. Dunnigan is not on the panel tonight. well that's encouraging. Anyone but Rod Black.
  10. I hate the hockey jersey logo on the front look. I don't mind them at all. Simple. Clean. Understated. Not a bad alternate jersey. They'd be ok without the logo on the front. Exactly my complaint. This ain't hockey, keep the logo on the helmet or sleeve and put a number on the front like a proper football jersey.
  11. Black recycles about ten phrases and uses them over and over. OR WILL HE?!?!?!
  12. Lol. I'm not sure who it was. He was dressed in the same stuff that management wears or the same stuff they wear in the bomber store. Dress pants and a bomber shirt. I knew he worked there because I have seen him before and he had a radio and lanyard with a name tag (didn't read it). I was wearing my royal blue jersey and we were discussing the new jerseys in the league this year and I told him I didn't really like any of the signature jerseys. He said yeah and he agreed with me saying Reebok is just trying to make money and doesn't really care about what the fans want and that we will be wearing the cameos one more time this year as part of the contract. . Then said you will be glad next year as we will be wearing those all year and pointed to my jersey. Then he walked off. Now wether he was just pulling my chain or not I don't know which is why I asked if anyone else has heard this before. I kinda don't believe him lol. Why would he tell me this?? Which is incomprehensible to me... if they want to make money the idea should be to sell as many jerseys as possible which is a lot easier when you make something the fans actually like.

  15. And there's some merit to what he says. The running game is hard to rely on and win with in the CFL, however Saskatchewan and Calgary currently rely on a strong running game backed up by a solid passing game so the division at this time is not a good one to use this philosophy in.
  16. Nah we're clearly all cheering for Calgary because **** Edmonton and their arrogant defense. Better to drag Edmonton down to everyone elses level and leave just one team up at the top.
  17. our linebackers are undersized because that's what the scheme wants... we are soft in the middle because that's how the scheme is drawn up... it's simply put the way Etchevary operates and we all knew this was going to play out like it has when the guy was hired. Everyone who wasn't just trying to spin things into sunshine and rainbows knew this was going to happen, why are we trying to spin it into a player issue?
  18. Haven't looked at the numbers, but is he far enough ahead that the extra game he's played since the Bombers haven't had a buy affecting that?
  19. Hajrullahu Sure but how many kickers win the Most Outstanding Rookie award. That's not what you asked.
  20. Still here! In the early going Willy was spreading the ball around and all of the receivers were looking good, including Kelly. In the last 5 or 6 games Willy has not demonstrated that ability and tends to concentrate on one receiver per game, probably his primary receiver. Therein lies the REAL problem with receivers who have not been productive. Willy seems to be getting half-decent protection from his O-line recently so not sure what is to blame for this change of course. our good friend Bob discusses some aspects of this in the following report. http://www.cfl.ca/article/irving-lots-to-shore-up-for-bombers-ahead-of-banjo-bowl If Willy has time and isn't throwing to receivers that means they ain't getting open, which has been the book on Kelly. Guy isn't good enough to get open consistently. Which is a hell of a thing because when you're 6'5 you're always open, that's how useless he's been. If you recall some of those great catches Kelly made early on he often wasn't open and sometimes in double coverage and he still managed to come up with the ball because Willy placed the ball perfectly. That's why those catches were so amazing. I think early in the season Willy had much better ball placement and I wonder if that first injury to his throwing hand wasn't the turning point for the decrease in throwing yards and accuracy. Romby has been open numerous times and he's not getting the ball either. Again, read Bob Irving's article and come up with a better explanation for the decreased offencive numbers because scapegoating doesn't work. With Romby and Willy it's an easy explanation, those two have horrible chemsitry. Even when the ball goes in that direction qb and receiver are on different pages. That's obvious. As for Kelly, there's scapegoating going on, I am simply looking at a players history and seeing the same things we have seen many times before. Few games where he makes some amazing catches then he pulls the disappearing act. If something has happened in the past and keeps happening then it's safe to say that that's just the way it is.

  23. I have deep concerns about some of you
  24. I can't help but wonder where all those loud mouths who were beaking about Kelly being great after game 1 are now...
