  1. That draw call was even worse. Maher was kicking the crap out of the ball, give him a chance for the single at least.
  2. all those injuries in the secondary likely played a role on that last drive
  3. it's really passive but I can see some logic to it. I think you gotta do more than a hand off up the middle though.
  4. That's exactly it, between him and Owens it's perfect for Ray. He loves his quick throws that receivers can turn into big gains. He had a lot of success with another guy of that type in Terry Vaughn.
  5. but he was a run of the mill FB, but he was an adopted local so the mob hyped him up to be more than he wasI think you are letting your hate of the riders colour your opinion.. He was durable, hard to stop, soft hands and very effective... Agree to disagree i suppose..How was that different from any number of fullbacks? At the time the position was different, there were lots of guys of that type around.Pretty sure if you matches szarkas stat lines with all other FB during his career, hes near the top of the pack.. Unfortunately,.you cant measure his blocking or protection without watching a pile of rider videos and aint nobody got time fer dat.. He had some longevity, but the only reason he's still talked about is because he was a popular Rider and they love to over inflate the value of those types. Did you know Rider fans used to try and say he was just as good as Mike Sellers?

  7. Hah Sunseri basically freezes when there's pressure coming.
  8. The best part of this game is that he's been pretty inaccurate, lot of missed throws, but he's still taking it to the Riders D.
  9. oh look, signs of life. what? couldn't show up until the riders fluke out a play?

  11. isn't it ridiculous that his biggest career achievement is being run all over by the Bombers? Ridiculous and they put Szarka in their plaza of honour... why? Because he was the fullback when the bandwagon started to fill up? Low low standards for that team I tell you what.
  12. We should honour Chris Szarka over here as well
  13. If Ottawa hangs on and wins then yeah the Bombers win the week without playing.
  14. You beat me to it. The block to the back was bad enough, but the roughing the kicker non call defies belief. If the Riders win this game close I hope they have the decency to not pound their chests too much. Don't worry. They're not going to win. That's showing a lot of faith in a team that has crapped their pants a lot this season.
  15. Why that's not true! The rider plague around these parts said they could try the third string guy, or the guy they just signed, they might do better!
  16. it's just strange to me because Tate used to be a good qb. Did the entire team spend the night at Chez Paris or what? Looked like the game in Varisty Blues after the all night bender.
  17. redblack player just shrugs off the hit then looks to run him over again for good measure, I love that play so much.
  18. he really did, so many throws just looked weak and off target.
  19. but he's ancient in running back terms... It's the most logical explanation. Take a break for a largely meaningless game and make sure you can ride him hard going into the playoffs.
  20. the inevitable Stamps pants shitting game here, now one week blip or start of a slide towards the rest of the league?
  21. you might be able to call them racks
  22. as in go away
  23. I suspect that it was a case of the guy is a big banged up (happens to RBs a lot) so maybe they felt that this game being against Montreal is as good a game as any to get the guy a break and have him healthier for the stretch drive when some key western opponents are on the schedule.
  24. Could you imagine if he didn't have the revolving door at receiver? Cause let's be honest Owens game is tailor made to succeed with Ricky Ray as his qb, and so too I think I Andre Durie.
