Which Player To Get Stitched On New Bombers Jersey
17to85 replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Bellefeuille probably already has one. -
Not to mention BLM doesn't appear to be a guy who chokes in big games like Burris & Glenn. Very true, those two are the biggest fair weather qbs the league has seen in quite some time. BLM just seems like a winner.
-
Can't really see the Stamps having problems with the Ticats in the cup... unless they just flat out choke. That Calgary team is playing too well and I think they recognize the importance of shedding that image of a team that can't seal the deal after a great regular season.
-
the very definition of a first world problem.
-
No idea why the Bombers felt that they couldn't have held a Grey Cup this year. It's obviously a league payoff to Braley. Didn't the Bombers feel that they weren't ready to host it? yeah and that may have some truth, but come on, Braley gets what is it 3 of the last 4 cups while owning two teams? You think that's not the league doing what they can to funnel money to the guy?

That's a tough argument to make. BLM is just one of the good young qbs in the league (Willy is one of them too) the big difference is that BLM is in a GREAT position. He's got a deep team with a deep coaching staff that is great at putting people in positions to have success. Yeah he's taking that opportunity and running with it, but he's getting a lot of help too.

You guys have endured a similar suffering to the Bombers in the last decade or so. It's a nice win for you guys and your fans. I may hate Kent Austin but it was good to see you and the Ticat fans get the win.Yeah, congratulations to the Ticats. I've met a lot of Ticat fans in other stadiums and they've always been good guys. Plus, best uniforms in the CFL (aside from our blue and golds). And that boat thing was years ago, time to move on from it.Definitely rooting for them next week. Love to see them slay the red giant. wasn't that one of Glenns first times back in Winnipeg? Glenn probably encouraged that cause he's always got a chip on his shoulder over nonsense things.

He is just so unbearable.

when the Bombers do that people scream to fire the DC because look at how many points they give up!

At 30 years old? I doubt that one. But, if he's becoming an FA I wouldn't mind if we targeted him. He still has probably 8 years give or take left. That's plenty of playing time yet. I don't see that as a concern. hah! How many 38 year old receivers you see anywhere? He'll be lucky and a bit of an outlier if he gets 5 more good years. Most likely he's got a couple good years then smaller roles purely based on experience. Well take then. But still. That's plenty of years still and there are plenty of lower teams like Jacksonville or Oakland that could use someone like him. Why would an NFL team go after a 30 year old receiver when they could just draft someone younger and faster and develop them and not have to worry about whether age will catch up to him sooner rather than later. The time for SJ Green to get NFL looks was when he was in his mid 20s, after that he's too old to be a prospect for NFL teams.

Adam Schefter said on Twitter last week upwards of 10 teams have significant interest in him. He'll definitely be in the NFL next year. Even when the monday morning quarterback guys were up in the CFL they flat out said Carter was going to be in the NFL next year. It's not a matter of if at this point it's just a matter of who.
-
yeah stewart is nowhere near good enough to play halfback in this league.
-
I hate that PI over turn. hand fighting and the db won it so badly the receiver lost his balance and fell AND that ball was so over thrown it was uncatchable if you ask me.
-
yeah but I'd expect anyone who says dumb things to take their lumps for it without complaining. The problem is that the guy takes everything so personally. He's got the wrong attitude to be posting on a rival site. Not sure why he feels like he so desperately needs to be accepted but most people who venture to rival teams sites understand that they need to have a thick skin.

S'posin I'm rooting for the Tabbies and the Stamps today for no more reason than **** Edmonton and Montreal. Hopefully they're better games than we got last week.

Yea, should be single vote. Seems a lot more accurate that way. Of course you did, you're a worthless rider homer. So now you're going to take potshots at me over a stupid poll? Come on. yes, seriously for the bitching you like to do about the pot shots you sure enjoy the trolly type comments like that one. You don't want potshots taken don't come in acting like a Rider homer. That was all in good fun. It was a joke, because Dressler is my favourite player. Stop taking everything so seriously. And you can criticize us for being homers, but Bomber fans rigged the Grey Cup poll before the season began. Welcome to sports. Fans will be fans. no YOU are the one who needs to stop taking **** seriously. You make a comment that is basically trolling (joke or not it's the same effect you're going for) so I respond with a similar level shot and you start crying. You see why I roll my eyes at you all the time? If you don't like taking the shots you are in the wrong place to show your rider homerism. I'm not the one being worked up over a poll. Who's worked up over a poll? Again it's a lot of eye rolling about Rider fans and they way they act. I'll say it again, you make comments like that on a site like this you best expect the shots you take, you don't like it then it might be best for you to evaluate exactly why you are posting that stuff here.

Yeah, their run game may have worked here and there, but they used it far too much and made it easy to get stuffed after a while. And when Sunseri -or whoever was in as QB- actually did throw the football, it would go to someone like Schilens or Swain rather than throwing to our main core like Dressler and Getzlaf. They didn't throw to our good WRs enough. Because as I said, predictable and easy to defend. Seriously you had rookie qbs in (or a dumb Joseph). Take away the big threats and trust that the young guys won't be able to go through as many reads. You are clearly too used to having a good qb like Durant behind centre and don't understand the extent that a wet behind the ears limits what an offense can do.
-
Cortez is not the problem in Regina, you know what is the problem? Outside Dressler the receivers were horrible for the Riders. The run game was the only thing that worked. Durant was able to do just enough passing and avoid turnovers which allowed them to ride the defense to wins early, but without just enough from Durant the Riders offense was too predictable and easy to stop and as usual offenses pick up in the back half of the CFL season and you can't ride the D all year. What happened in Saskatchewan was exactly what everyone here told you would happen because it was obvious to anyone who didn't wear green coloured glasses.

How is buck supposed to teach a guy to not trip on defenders finger tips or pick the right gap at full speed? Trick question, he can't. Both of those key failures are on the RB.. He either has the power to run thru pinky fingers or he has the vision to see the holes made by oline.. Because he's the COACH...that's his job...to teach him to stop the bad habits and how to do better job at playing their position. What the heck do you think the coach does "oh just go out there and do what you do...". No, they teach them how to stop doing the stupid things and how to be better at what they do. To be fair Grigsby did get a bit better at dropping some of the bad habits from his game... but there's only so much you can do with a player who is unwilling to play like a man and would rather quit. None of us can judge Pierce, his position just isn't one that lends itself to the general fanbase having any idea about. Grigsby I just think was what he was and no coach was going to make him a better running back.

That is what makes him great, certainly not an idiot.
