  1. No I see myself as an opinionated person who is more than willing to defend my opinions. People are always free and quite frankly I encourage them to argue my opinions. You don't like your opinions being called stupid them prove me wrong.
  2. I don't see it. Trudeau has already said no coalition with Mulcair. Neither party wants to play 2nd fiddle to the other. If they topple the government and it goes to an election I can see the voters slapping them down like happened with their contempt of parliament nonsense. If the Conservatives get a minority they will form government and run it for a while. The NDP and Liberals simply do not have as much common ground as people think they do and the Conservatives would do what they did last times they had a minority. Find support where they can by giving some parties concessions. Do you think the NDP slipping has any connection to Mulcair saying he'd consider working with the Liberals or did he say that because he was slipping? No Mulcair has been open to a coalition with the Liberals before the election was even called *IF* Mulcair was the leader. Simply put the NDP is opportunistic right now. Their slide in the polls is more a reflection of people seeing them as a protest, but then realizing they may win, scrutinizing them more and deciding they don't like it and going to the safe comfy Liberals instead.
  3. What if he is getting the best out of the talent we have? Clarence Denmark would disagree. or is that a function of rookie qbs can't find Denmark? And let's be realistic here, this isn't the first time in his career that Denmark has done the inconsistent thing either.
  4. He is all of those things, but he is also this season very emotional which leads to irrational arguments that he just keeps hammering away on even if other people show him to be in the wrong, at which point he takes it as a personal slight. I respect his opinion, but when he starts in the old man yelling at clouds act I just roll my eyes. I saw one of your posts today or yesterday where you called out another member & used ***** & ***** twice in a sentence calling them out. If that isn't yelling & showing disrespect then I don't know what it is. You know that I also respect your opinion but please don't point fingers at me & say I yell & scream like an old man at members when you do it here as well. Long time members know you have a temper as well. Hey I didn't say you did it at members, you're ranting and raving about the team a lot though and then take thing personally when people argue with you. You're damned right I use colourful adjectives to describe opinions I don't like, but that's a far cry from what's going on here. I wouldn't really say I have a temper so much as I have an argumentative streak a mile wide and don't give a **** if people get offended. You get a forum full of people with that attitude and within a month the forum is done and done. Why would one feel he has to offend people he does not agree with. People don't do that with those they work with or play with or those you live with so why feel it is an entitlement when you deal with people who just want to express an opinion on a subject of common interest. This thread is an example of what a forum should never be. Instead we should just let morons keep posting stupid crap? No that's a forum I never want to see. If I think someone has a stupid opinion I'm going to tell them so and ask them to back it up. Just the way it's going to go. I'm not interested in a forum that is unfiltered ranting. People want to do that then they should start a blog. Once people get over this idea that everyones ideas are valid the better off a forum will be.
  5. Ticketmaster all out? Why pay full price? And people got mad at me when I called Winnipeggers cheap. If it's not on sale not interested! It's the city motto. Are people in Calgary idiots who actively look for the highest price possible? lots of them are yeah.

  7. American style sports broadcasting. The game isn't interesting to sell itself they have to find some story to sell, just ridiculous.

  10. I wouldn't be so sure, in a statistical tie like the polls have shown since forever it might come down to where the votes get split. My concern is, if everyone's second choice is the Liberals, if you have enough undecided from both sides going to the Libs, they sneak up the middle. They might be seen as the "safe" choice. And JT coming across like he's blissfully unaware of anything sort of plays into that "well what damage can he do, he looks like he wont do anything" aura. Nah I think the ABC group is the largest group so we're likely to see more split between the NDP/Liberal and allow the Cons to come up the middle. 2nd choice doesn't matter in our system.
  11. Waste of time, we don't need the ratio flexibility so why? If they don't have an import receiver better than Bastien I have some very serious questions to ask Kyle Walters.

  14. I'm not sure if you understand the term competitive anymore. You own this site so you have the last word on everything. Yep, you're right. I'm wrong. That's the way it is as you're always right anyway. Let's just end this. You win. Good grief... it's not that he's just trying to get the last word, it's that he's trying to point out how you are misusing a word in your haste to rant and rave and slam the team. You are all over the map with your anger this year, he's right to take you to task for it. You're not really interested in what he has to say though, you're only interested in ranting and raving. Calm down, it's a nice day out in Calgary today, enjoy life.

  16. And further to that, the special teams didn't quit, they just sucked. It's been a problem all year, when your guys can't get down the field and keep the holes closed it doesn't really matter what the coach is saying. For all the praise Walters gets he's really failed in gathering depth on this team. Injuries to any position and we're totally ******. Do we even have an american who we can consider an ace on special teams? At least Unamba could run down field and cover kicks. We always had guys like Suber in the past as well who got down field quickly and disrupted things. I agree with your response 17to85, however, you would think the coach would command enough, hmm, respect(? Not the right word but it's all I could think of right now) that they would be able to effect change on the squad. RH had a pretty undisciplined lot but he turned that around. I think MOS just isn't intimidating enough or whatever, because he sure isn't able to affect much change on the players. Coaches can't make players faster, all they can do is replace players if they don't perform, but we've all seen how the backups on this team play so replacing someone with a worse player, how does that improve the team? Until you have a roster that can compete it doesn't really matter who the coach is.
  17. And their effectiveness is quite limited obviously. What's the harm of keeping a backup american around if he's an ace on special teams and keep your real backup player on the practise roster? Unamba is a good example of someone who couldn't play D very well but played the hell out of special teams.
  18. Lawless is the stupidest sports writer in Winnipeg. I won't read his crap and if he is ever on TV I mute it. Do you ever have a balanced opinion? I get this visual of you yelling every word you speak. What an ironic post. Funny how those who think so highly of themselves as balanced/good always have to pull out the name calling and bullying. I don't have to be balanced about Lawless. I do not find any redeeming qualities in what he does. I don't read Paul Friesen either, because I think he is often just throwing crap at the wall to see what sticks, but I cannot argue that he does have valid points every so often. Lawless just spews out opinions or information that has not been vetted and in some cases has been flat out made up. I will stick with paying more attention to the real reporters like Penton and co. Again, I may not always agree with them, but they have a much better track record and try to stay away from spreading rumours. Umm...he didn't call you any names, nor did he bully you. He's just asking you a valid question and stating his opinion on how you come across. The only person I see name calling in this post is you calling Lawless stupid. And I answered it. The thing is I shouldn't have to answer BS questions like it. This forum is for opinions and my OPINION is I don't like Lawless he hasn't provided any enlightenment to the sporting community here. Much like Friesen. If you don't like my opinion that's fine but making me answer for my opinion while no one else has to is bullying. Oh, and in case you cannot read he didn't call me names but he did dig into the personal insult pot with his second unneeded sentence. Bullshit, everyone has to answer for their opinions. You are allowed to have opinions, but people are allowed to have the opinion that your opinion stinks and ask you to defend it. That happens to everyone here which is the entire point of message boards. It's not a forum for people to ***** and ***** and ***** and never have to back anything up, even if a lot of people want to view it that way. You have an opinion that's fine but you should always be able to justify your opinion because chances are someone is going to ask you to.
  19. No, not at all. What I would expect is recognition of weaknesses and some detail on how they are addressing it. As time goes on coaches here seem to say less and less and that only adds to fan frustration. I like to bring up coach Ritchie whenever discussion the last few coaches. He was a crusty fellow but he did tend to answer the questions even if it lacked more detail or was curt. I don't know but it just seems like our last few coaches understood that part of the coach's job is throwing a bone to the paying audience. There is nothing worst than turning on the radio after another loss and not getting any indication if the coach knows what is wrong and how to fix it. And he defended Etchevary in public last year too and everyone said he'd stubbornly stick with him until they were both fired too. People really need to get over the non answers O'Shea gives in public. Talk is cheap but so many people here treat it like gold.
  20. If you really believe that then I don't know what to say... You admit you didn't read the whole thing and then you also assume that travel days are a day off? Guaranteed they are practising the maximum amount they are allowed to. Too many people stuck in the past where coaches in their mind are supposed to be a ruthless task master. That doesn't work in professional sports anymore.
  21. Bellefools offence getting guys injured again. Our receivers seem to take a lot of big shots as well as the qbs and rbs.
  22. Wonder how long that agreement is for .. BC is going to be DEEP at LB next season if Elimimian returns to form .. I'm curious to know what it took to get Curran to come out of this "hold-out" type thing he was doing... money or finally accepting the NFL would not come calling... I'll go with B. without question B. The NFL is already going and no one is calling they're not likely to sign you now after deciding they didn't want you all offseason.
  23. Like him or not Durant is a winner. Sometimes it's not about stats it's just about making the right plays at the right times. His record speaks for itself with regards to Durant. They'd probably still be a losing team given the stats you cited, but I just don't think Durant is a guy that loses that many games for them. exactly. bang on. certain players just find a way. Ian Wild is one of those players, he just makes plays at the perfect time. Noeller hates the comparison but I always sort of thought Durant was similar to Khari Jones. Not in style, just in the fact that they always seemed to find a way to win more games than they lost. Some qbs are just like that.
  24. No. But given that Wild can long snap .. it also raises the question of whether or not we need to roster both Cronk and Rempel on game day .. and frankly, I'd have no issues dropping Cronk from the game day roster .. And replacing him with who? Ratio still comes into play unless I'm mistaken and Cronk is actually an american but I don't believe that is the case.
  25. I am not asking for full pads or full contact, I know what a practice should look like I have coached and watched many of them. What I am suggesting is that one of the reasons they are so bad on offence is they don't go full speed when running their plays. And they don't spend enough time in practice working on Scrimmaging to prepare for the games. just keep piling on the arrogance... you do not know what a practise should look like unless you're a professional head coach in disguise. Are you a professional head coach?
