  1. Yeah John Carter was better than expected. I think it suffered from people not understanding how to market it. Side note, the books are a fun read too.
  2. It's easy to get an R rating, 3 fucks and you're there
  3. Mack had no problem scouting and finding american players though... He really did operate very similarly to Popp, just that Popp had Calvillo for so long
  4. They are small and it's hard to see them until it's gone past the earth. Space is big, like humogous big and meteors are just little specks in it.
  5. If people are interested in the ratings of movies I highly recommend watching the documentary "This Film Is Not Yet Rated" Really provides a good insight into how ****** up the system for rating movies is.
  6. I'd watch CIS football before NFL. **** that league so much. The over the top hype is just too much, kills any interest I might ever have.
  7. Obviously an American based on the bitching about the ratio and how non imports control the union. Plus the bitching about getting paid in Canadian dollars so the poor Americans don't take home the equivalent in American dollars. The indignity of another country NOT paying people in a foreign currency. How DARE they.
  8. Big Rock might not be the most edgy craft brewer out there but damned if I don't like some of their stuff. Traditional is a go to out here if there is nothing else cause it's rare that they don't have that. Grasshopper was my gateway into craft beer so it is always nice too, especially on a hot day when a deck is involved. It's nice to see them branching out a bit too, things like the Cascadian or Fowl Mouth are quite good taking basically their Traditional base and adding some more hops to it.
  9. See I read it as "We over spent the last few years because we had cap space and now it sucks because we don't have the space, I hope the other teams make the same mistakes I did"
  10. I see it as we have a lot of options there just sorting out who goes where is left to be determined.
  11. but like I said, Bucknors position is an easy one to hide a guy in. Better option than trying to find another canadian to back up Harris at rb should he be hurt or you have another american defensive lineman on to rotate in and give more push when you need it, or you load up on americans at receiver in some situations. I just think it's a "safe" way to hide a guy.
  12. I don't like Bucknor but it's an easy spot to hide a lesser player in, I think it's the best option. I also think this team starts 8 non imports so they have the flexibility to deal with injuries and in game adjustments.
  13. I don't think Bucknor goes anywhere to be honest, I think either Randle or Adams are a likely candidate to step into the vacated half back spot, the other playing the corner and Bucknor and Johnson on the other side. That just leaves the safety which could be Legget or it could be someone else. Either way there's lots of options. I am more concerned about rbs and receivers because I still don't know what they have for depth there, obviously the OL is a concern and the DL I don't know how that will work out because I still don't see who plays the other DE spot and perhaps people are expecting Shologan to be better than he actually is....
  14. really? You really think the secondary is the biggest hole? We got lots of dbs who can play even with the loss of Washington. Plus it's the one area this regime has seemed to been able to find players at pretty consistently. It's probably my last worry about this team.
  15. The moral of the story here is that chasing a big payday in the CFL isn't worth it because contracts are not guaranteed and you might think you're getting paid but if you're not worth it that contract isn't worth the paper it's written on. More important to pick a good situation than chase the money.
  16. You are going to be happy with him. Lots of Bomber fans here have ADD and only remember the times he got burned, which happens to everyone, but he's a damned good db and I predict it'll be week 2 at most before there's some posts on here lamenting the fact that he got away.
  17. I believe that with regards to Picard the hope was that his experience and leadership would outweigh his shortcomings on the field.
  18. Not to mention that Laurent wasn't well known and Poblah was considered a guy that would have been a slam dunk first overall selection if he'd been in the draft. People use hindsight way too much when discussing this stuff. Poblah was considered a great prospect as a NI, it didn't work out and we got burned, c'est la vie.
  19. The people who don't think Washington was a good DB clearly have no clue about football. Here's my thoughts on the situation, Washington wants a big pay day and Walters figures he's got other options that won't cost as much and he's cheaping out.
  20. It's not that they beat them, it's that they stomped them. McDavid has given that team a spark and considering how it was looking with some of their best players injured they needed that spark. They had a nice win streak going until Klefbom, their best D hit the shelf, now McDavid has sparked the PP they can capitalize on those chances and score their way out of trouble.
  21. One play totally defines a guys career!
  22. Biggest thing for the Oilers since McDavid came back 5 for 6 on the PP. That powerplay was a sore spot for them while he was out, give a guy with that kind of skill more space though and it just clicks. Get Klefbom healthy and it'll be even better.
  23. What? He plays the tougher half back spot and does it quite well. He's all over the field and he does his job well. The trouble here is people will focus only on the plays where he got beat, but guess what, the top receivers (who Washington was always covering because that's how the coaches viewed him) will get open and make plays on everyone. If we lose Washington mark my words we will miss him.
