  1. what scoring at key times and creating turn overs is how you win? Well I have something to tell you.... every team relies on those things to win. I mean seriously the stats for how strongly winning the turn over battle correlates to wins means that every team that wins relies on turn overs. Yeah there's areas that need to get more consistent on this team, but they're battlers and they always believe they have a chance to win, that comes from the coach and that's what makes him a good coach.
  2. Aiding the Bombers was the fact that guys like Thorpe were able to take those short catches and fight hard for extra yards to keep the chains moving. You make the short throws you gotta make sure you get extra yards out of it otherwise you still wind up punting.
  3. Regarding the D, and some of the runs Montreal had, there were a ton of missed tackles that make it look bad. Get the initial tackles made and there's a lot less given up.
  4. why would I drink a few thousand shitty beers when there are so many good ones to drink? is that like the Riders themselves? Once you've seen a few thousand shitty games it grows on you?
  5. and the thing is, if Medlock makes some kicks that are within his usual range they coulda scored over 90 points in those games.
  6. LOL no, it's ****.
  7. Yeah that one was clearly a bit of a shove. Soft call, but they call the soft ones all the time now so it's a penalty as the CFL has determined.
  8. The crazy part is that without the penalty help the Als had nothing going early on. They're 2 and out and punting if Corney doesn't get his hand in the face of the D-lineman, that sell job on the PI in the endzone was none too impressive either. This D gives up a lot of yards, but they also don't do themselves any favours when they get to taking penalties to extend drives when they do have a team stopped. As far as the offense goes, they are feast or famine it seems. They either go 2 and out or they march and score. That is a problem too cause if you punt from your own end a few times the field position battle and score easily goes against you. Can you imagine if this team could avoid a bunch of the 2 and outs?
  9. How about the clear one they didn't call right before the missed fg? Refs were bad all game both ways but Harris was never down. Montreal left early Winnipeg didn't. That is the difference
  10. Nice to be on this side of a 4th quarter come back for a change
  11. QB, QB, QB. blame Kyle Walters for not getting Mike O'Shea the qb he needs to do what some of those other coaches did. I dunno why you're bringin gup Chepdelaine anyway, that is clearly the dead cat bounce that every team gets when they change coaches midway though.
  12. The big difference was Trestman stepped onto a Toronto team with future hall of fame qb Ricky Ray, Mike O'Shea stepped onto a team with absolutely no one at qb.
  13. I guess you will have to cheer for me to win it all then right?
  14. Hey if we got Wally as GM we'd be able to finally find a qb, he's supplied most of the league with qbs for years.
  15. Snyder makes some pretty looking visuals but that's about the extent of it.
  16. Oh please, not giving the media the sound bytes that people want is not the same as never admitting a mistake.
  17. but a combo of Wally at HC and Buono at GM I would trade in a heartbeat for the combo of coach O'Shea and GM Walters.
  18. The simple solution rather than making a "strike zone" on tacklees is to just enforce wrap tackle rules. You don't use your arms to wrap up a player that's a flag. Sort of how they do it in rugby.
  19. I suspect that might have to do with the relative sizes of the playing surface. Make the field Narrow it is a lot harder to avoid the contact in theory.
  20. Ahh yes, the old coaching should be done through the media, no wonder you want the president to micromanage everything. Maybe you really are Mike Kelly cause he used to do all that stupid **** too, and look where his career went.
  21. But I'm not talking about just receivers you know. Drake Nevis for example, hardly a just happy to have a job guy was one, Ogopogo was a big name free agent and he said O'Shea was a reason. Have you stopped to think that the bombers might actually like the receivers they have? Besides that Nic Moore whether exciting or not is a damned good receiver, he just never stayed healthy. He did a lot of good things here when in the lineup.
  22. But do you think that Mike O'Shea can't see the problems that this team has? Cause I guarantee he sees every single one of them AND he seems more than we do too. He's got a hell of a lot more information than we do.
  23. your premise fails when you seem to think that Mike O'Shea doesn't want to win as much as you do.
  24. Umm I said Dressler was playing like a top guy, is that not doing anything about it? They liked Adams and signed him as a free agent so that's doing something. They tried with Nic Moore but he was too often injured to work. They signed Ryan Smith last offseason but he retired. So tell me, where on earth do you get this idea that they aren't doing anything about the receivers?
