  1. if your expectation for punt returners is "regularly wins games singlehandedly" then I suspect you'll ultimately be disappointed with Vaval ... or with anyone, really.
  2. congrats Atomic!
  3. Bomber loss aside, it was a ridiculously entertaining weekend for the CFL. Four games decided by a total of nine points, all of them undecided until late in the fourth quarter. just the perfect mix of scrambly and dramatic. liked seeing Dru Brown and Rourke playing clutch in a league that really needs the next generation of QBs to step up. love this league.
  4. noticed Buck was wearing a pink ribbon ... I know his wife has a gnarly cancer history, I hope she's ok.
  5. Concoran really struggled blocking tonight. His man totally blew up a promising looking sweep play in the 1st half and then he got caught blocking towards his endzone and aborted a drive. Sheed is out of football, right?
  6. run plays average fewer yards than pass plays and so if you're relying on your run game to get downfield, it'll take longer?
  7. @Rich I would like to switch to Ottawa as well.
  8. am hearing that VAJ is a maybe for the Calgary / Ottawa game. Suddenly not so sure about my Calgary pick but my rule is to never, ever, ever choose Ottawa when money or bragging rights are on the line...
  9. I wonder if it's ever happened before that MBB was unanimously wrong like we were on Calgary vs. Montreal last week?
  10. great game but it seems to me like BC went to a prevent D way too early. Ticats down by 3, 2:00 on the clock, need about 50-55 yards to set up Legz ... BC repeatedly gives them easy first downs on checkdowns and flat passes. Suddenly the Cats aren't playing to tie, they're playing to win. That was Lapo's dream drive.
  11. that last straight fire catch was pretty sweet
  12. yeah, they were really pumping Tommy's tires during yesterday's game.
  13. Dustin and Suitor seem to be trying to make Tommy Stevens a thing, make him short-yardage famous, so it's extra nice to see him get stuffed. Fajardo makes improbable escape from sack, runs backwards, gets sacked.
  14. I think you can put this loss on Adams. Dude should not have dropped the shoulder on two tacklers six yards short of a first down while his team had the lead. Not a play to sell out your body on. He gets hurt, his backup is unprepared and can't move the ball at all, and the Stamps lose a game they had well in hand.
  15. If we weren't so shell-shocked by the consecutive Calgary beatdowns I'm sure some of us would've picked Montreal. so yeah, Osh's fault.
  16. woof, Spieker has been horrible in the 4th quarter for two straight games now. opposite of clutch.
  17. sucks that Alford is hurt. Another promising talent sidelined
  18. Eternal optimist ... checks out.
  19. Dustin & Suitor talking up Spieker's big game last week ... seem to have forgotten his nightmare fourth quarter.
  20. Davis Alexander has been six-gamed. Hate to see the best young QB in the league sidelined like that. Big blow to the Als, esp with MBT regressing badly this year. I got a prop bet that someone will make an ancestors joke here. buy my lunch, MBB (speaking of betting, I called it all, although I was a few weeks late on Fajardo, and McCheese hasn't gotten manured yet.)
  21. my favorite song in 1983. where am I to go now that I've gone too far?
