2025 CFL (Non-Bombers) Season
back in the day I was friends of friends with a bunch of ER nurses from the big trauma hospital in town, the one that pulls all the really gnarly **** .. got to party with them fairly regularly ... and damn those ladies had some funny stories to tell ... but if my life were on the line I'd be glad to be in their hands. was hanging out with some American submariners in the aftermath of that billionaire imploding himself at the Titanic ... their jokes were funny as hell but were very very dark.

This isn't really about the merits of the team or any particular outcome, it's just running the numbers. There's 12 games left, so there's 531,441 (3^12) different scenarios that could happen. In slightly under half of those scenarios, the bombers host a playoff game.- Bombers at Elks early chat
It will be an interesting contrast of the two defensive philosophies -- us, who don't roster for pressure, and them, that do.- Lock of the Week 2025 2: Week 19

oh man I could go on and on about this but what I'll say is that America has been captured by a bot-fueled outrage machine that needs fresh bullshit controversies weekly. Anything even mildly contentious gets amplified massively no matter how stupid it is. You may have heard something about how Cracker Barrel slightly revamped their logo and people lost their ******* minds. HOLY **** I didn't think they would ever do this.- Riders at REDBLACKS GDT
Hardy, Lewis, Addison, Pimpleton is a pretty damn nice set of receivers, though Addison had a weird drop tonight. Ottawa teams are always less than the sum of their parts.- Lock of the Week 2025 2: Week 18

https://www.cfl.ca/players/keric-wheatfall/166914/ Wheatfall has had his down games, but he's certainly not been invisible since the early part of the season. In particular, check out his 8/15 game against Ottawa. He made some hard yards in that game and survived some hellacious contact and I've seen him throw some good blocks too. Someone here compared him to Chris Brazzel and I don't think that's a fair comparison. Up to the 9/6 game where Collaros got hurt, he was on a 950ish-yard pace. Should we start him or Mitchell? No idea. But Wheatfall doesn't look like an early season flash in the pan to me. Would he start on any other team in the CFL? I don't think he'd make the grade in Montreal, BC, Ottawa, or Hamilton. I think he's just the target of frustration because he's a decent player on a team that made an expensive bet on Dalton Schoen that didn't turn out.- Blue Bombers-Tigercats Game Day Chat
lol. I'm pretty sure that if some MBB poster were on the sidelines calling the shots, the rest of MBB would be pining for the good old days of Tim Burke...- Stamps at Als / Argos at Lions GDTs
well, the Bombers also got to play the Lions 2 times before they had anything figured out, so it kinda evens out.- 3 stars plus hh beatdown edition
HH to Vaughters. Two sacks!- Lock of the Week 2025 2: Week 17

he did call the plays that resulted in the time killing drive, right? He called the right plays and our guys executed them well. The system worked at a critical time. Ottawa has a habit of improbable comebacks but we stomped that possibility dead. I'm not saying there aren't giant hairy weeping warts on the O in this game but there does seem to be some small amount of credit owing there.- 3 stars plus hh offensive offence
I'd trade any of our QBs for Brown in a heartbeat. If he's not achieving in Ottawa, it's because Ottawa is the forbidden zone of the CFL, there's some weird malaise over the place that prevents the assembly of talent into teams, and it's been that way since the early eighties.- 3 stars plus hh offensive offence
on Hogan ... as much as the O smelled like the back of your college refrigerator ... when the chips were down in the fourth quarter we had two long drives for field goals and burned a bunch of clock. Someone called the right plays for us to ice that game. I'll admit that "give it to Brady when leading in the 4th quarter" isn't galaxy brained coaching but at least we didn't outsmart ourselves. Demski missing his catch streak was a big bummer. hilariously he did have one catch but it was for -11 yards and was wiped out by a Neuf holding penalty.- Saturday Pt. 2- Edm @ Ham
coming in late ... Brian Chiu deserving HOFer. Dude kept Calvillo spotless for all those years.- 3 stars plus hh offensive offence
anyone who says that there's one weird trick to fix the O doesn't have a lot of credibility with me. We've got an OL that can't keep a clean pocket, no clear WR1, a quarterback with happy feet and a bum knee, plus a rookie OC. Any one of those factors can screw up a play; when you've got em all on the field at once, it's gonna be gross.- Bombers at RBs: The GDT

As much as everyone is all meh on the bombers after this victory, can you imagine being an Ottawa fan? that has got to be a frustrating team to root for. they win games they absolutely should not win and piss away games that should be blowouts. How much time do they have left on Dyce's contract? also HH to TSN for the nice whole-play iso on one of Cadwallader's special teams tackles. dig seeing the special teams guys getting some camera time.- Bombers at RBs: The GDT
now that we know the average gentleman on MBB is a little older, I'd say this game is exactly like an erection .. surprising.- Bombers at RBs: The GDT
we beat em in 2/3 phases of the game and with the game on the line on the 4Q we had two long drives for field goals. I'll take it but I doubt we beat any other team in the league like this.- Bombers at RBs: The GDT
No. There was a late-season 1988 Calgary vs Ottawa snow game in Ottawa that was worse. The walking corpse of Roy Dewalt vs. CFL-all-timer Erik Kramer in whiteout conditions. Ottawa won because their punter was getting about five more yards per punt than the Calgary guy. I can find a youtube link if anyone wants to see the worst CFL game ever played.- Bombers at RBs: The GDT
We have our struggles ... but we don't self-destruct like the redblacks.- FNF Doubleheader Als @ Argos, Lions @ Stamps GDT
