He's 28 already and been around the league for several years, just how much improvement do we really expect out of the guy? Considering this seasons statistics only Glenn has a better passer rating too, and considering the absolute **** show that the Riders are that means a lot. Old man Glenn on a massively dysfunctional team is better than Nichols. You are letting your massive bias against Kevin Glenn cloud your judgement here. Glenn has been a legit starter in the CFL many tmes, Nichols has never been able to do that and I don't see it ever happening either. 

No, Glenn can throw the football better than you & me. The guy is a pro qb. He's he's the best qb the Als could find & certainly better than Crompton, Marsh & Cato. He was the best qb the Als could get & he came cheap.

We all expected Bilukidi to come in and be close to Browns caliber of play at DT.... we should have expected him to take a while to get up here as well.

Bruce Johnson is absolutely NOT better than Washington. 

Sam Hurl is quite young and coming along... who knows, maybe he will be an all star in a year or two

He better sign a guy like Heenan or Jones now.

I was pro O'SHEA for a while... but his poor roster decisions have been making me want him out.

You're the one whose glossing over his mistakes. Better than Marve/Brohm? Sure. I said as much in my post.
 
'The Man'? After 1 game? Where he played inconsistently at best? Nah. We've seen lots of QB's have a good half before. Most don't end up being 'The Man'.

It's amazing what a win will do around here.
 
Nichols didn't win the game last night the defence did. Nichols could have cost us the game with 3 turnovers in the first half, but he threw a TD pass (The first since Willy went down?) so now he's 'the man' and should be paid like a starter? IMO, Brohm/Marve/'A dozen or so other backup QB's' have set the bar so low that Nichols just looks like our saviour. He's a big upgrade over our other backup QB's, but lets see what he can do for more than a single game against the worst defence in the league before we make any silly proclamations about him.

An aside, but you ever notice how much you use "honestly" in your posts....."honestly, is Arash a reliable source, really?" would be a common post.....I find it amusing.

Here's the weird thing about Hajrullahu as a punter.  He is awesome at the coffin corner punts, so why would he suddenly become unable to aim his punts properly when he is further out from the opposing endzone?  That doesn't make sense to me.  Maybe that's a failure of the coaches because he clearly has the ability to punt directionally in some situations.

My guess is with a full week of practice, hoping he can start this week.  Nicholls is a legit CFL QB.  A guy you can at least win games with.  Full credit to Walters on this one...I now have hope for this season!!
