Why would you take Unamba off? He's been a special teams stud thus far. Maybe its just me, but I've been thoroughly disapointed in his play... mostly on defence... ST's he's looked alright... Penalty irked me last game. It really depends what Stoudermire is showing in practice. Hence the "consider"

I think I'd like to see him more at Dollar and safety then at Sam. Unless I'm way off base and that's where they're already playing him. Between him and Newman we could have some pretty good canuck depth at those spots.

Id take Woods off the roster and put Cotton on there. Cotton can return too and gives us a solid in game back up, and rotational player at a very important position for our offence. I'd also consider taking Unamba off for Stoudermire and seeing what he can do returning kicks and backing up in the secondary.

Guys got to remember a few things about Grigsby though. He was fighting through injuries during camp according to OShea... And he was also out of football for a while before he came up here. He's probably been rusty as well as trying to get into the kind of shape he was in during his pro day. Looks like he got his speed back Thursday. He is bigger and stronger than Cotton, he just needs to use his body to its full potential.

Grigsby can catch well out of the backfield, he needs to work on blocking and running harder, too many arm tackles for my liking

Leos at Als / Tabbies at Eskies / Riders at Argos

Perfect example of this is the Craig Butler hit on Pierce in the Banjo Bowl. Hit him in the chest, impact rose up and Pierce's helmet flew off. Did Butler drop his head and launch the crown of his helmet into Buck's jaw? Are you implying that's what Willis did? It's exactly what he did. Initial contact was shoulder, but he knew exactly what he was doing, he's got the paint from Collaros' grill all over the top of his helmet. It was a kill shot, one that probably lost his team the game anyways. It wasn't late, but he drops his right shoulder and head in his last stride before contact, and launches himself into Collaros so when he leaves his feet he drives his head right through Collaros facemask. Kind of funny that it wasn't called given the increased emphasis on headshots regardless of the initial point of contact this season. I disagree, it was a clean hit with minimal helmet rubbing on his face mask, lead with his shoulder and planted it right in his chest with hj is feet on the ground... A clean hard hit. If we make if illegal to hit qb's hard I'm not gonna like it... I personally think that's why Henry was able yo escape so many sacks Thursday night.. Our guys seemed apprehensive to actually hit him... They just wrapped him up and tried to gently bring him down it seems -
We'll, I'm pretty happy a team in the west is sucking... With how week the east is, and Edmonton not great either, we could get third in the west, though it may be better to get fourth

I'd like to see Cotton get a chance when healthy. I like Grigsby for some things and don't like him for others. He had a huge spin move in each game in the backfield, He's great at cutting and making guys miss and he has some pretty good strait line speed... But to me, that's all things Cotton can do as well. If Cotton is a better Pass blocker, then I'd go with him next game if he's healthy. Cotton can run through those holes just as fast as Grigsby can. I'd DI Cotton instead of Woods and I'd them both significant playing time in a real game and see if that will motivate Grigsby into sticking with his blocks rater then rubbing off and looking for a dump pass. I think if Grigsby would just commit to his blocks he could be a phenomenal RB for us. I'm also intrigued by Megget... I'd like to see what he can do one day as well. Could be a great smash mouth RB(whos also got some speed) for us

Hamilton is ruining a young QB with a lot of potential... His confidence is visibly shot already.

I bet the thursday games arn't helping. Sucks getting up (@5am) for work when your stuck in traffic and dont get home untill after 12

Hey guys, dont think this deserves its own thread, so I'll put it here.... Was Zach Anderson told to bulk up for NT? or i the website just wrong? it's listing him at 295.... If he is that big, thats like 17-18 pounds in one off season. Theres no way thats all Muscle. I bet its slowed him down a little... I bet he's running like a 4.8 now!!! LOL BTW, great read JBR, always enjoy your stuff

Its fine and dandy to feel good about your QB, But Willy played against a very basic Argo Defense. I really liked what I saw from him, but we certainly cant expect that performance week in and week out. He does have a very quick release, and he can also buy some time with his legs. But I don't think his pre-snap reads or reads in general will be so quick against teams like Calgary and Saskatchewan.

Yeah, the O-Line looks solid now. Neufeld really worked out, Morely at Center was a pretty darn good idea... Knapp is gOing to be a great OT for us. Greaves and January are solid for us on the left side The future of our OLINE looks good to with Wylie coaching up the likes of Goosen, Nuefeld, Everett and even Swiston.

I'm sorry, but this is ridiculously FALSE... Glenn does not typically throw 4 interceptions... Nice try though, as ridiculous as it was
-
Glenn had one bad game... He's a good QB, I find it hilarious that he has a bad game and you guys all just use this opportunity to the fullest to bash and ridicule him. Then when he's playing good(which is a hell of a lot more then when he plays bad) there's no praise, there's no pats on the back, you all just shut your mouths and wait for your next opportunity
-
Nice play by Harris... That guys sick... To bad he doesn't want to come home
-
I like bc now. They're my second favourite team
-
I think michael bishop would be an upgrade for them at this point
-
I'm thinking we could get a 5th for him from Ottawa or TO.. Then again if they were interested wouldn't they have inquired the first time around?
-
I want Morin-Plante AND Etienne
-
I was impressed with O'Sheas HCing calls... We all know Tim Burke would have messed up that call when O'Shea declined the offside because it was change of possession... Actually I'm pretty sure Burkes head would have exploded from confusion.

As much as I've been hating on Etchevary, I really enjoyed watching his defence last night. Dunn did very well in the "dollar" position and it really seemed like we got a healthy dose of Wild and Kuale. Seemed like they were in there at the right times. Love that we basically had a 4 man front all night except for a few 3 mans. Secondary looks pretty exceptional to go along with a good front seven

I was shocked it was West. That hit was so perfectly timed I actually gave a pretty loud cheer... I don't normally do that on special teams either
-
I'd rather Bryant than Kelly Wow, good call. Add this to your Mack, Etienne and Pencer love and I'm really getting a feel for your shrewd assessment skills. We'll soon have to change your avatar to George Costanza. Not that I think 17 is wrong in this scenario, still too early to tell after only one game, but I'm not sure why you went back in this thread to dig up a post to rub it in his face like that... Kind of a classless thing to do We've all been wrong in assessments of players in this league, not fair to pick on someone like that just after Kelly had a big game, especially since he wasn't the only one doing it...

Id personally like to see Cotton instead of Ford(when he's healthy). Cotton can return as well and adds more Value to the roster overall than Woods does.
