  1. I am not in favour of taking down any statues at all. Macdonald's treatment of First Nations is well documented and has been widely discussed. I'm beyond annoyed when people still try to claim there are those who don't know, and removing the statue will be a small step towards education and reconciliation. However, somehow, Wilfred Laurier is rarely if ever brought up. Is it because he's Liberal? I don't know. But I do know that his immigration policies were very racist and discussed openly in parliament. Also, he did nothing to change anything that JAM put into place. Example: JAM legislated a $50 Chinese Head Tax; Laurier raised it to $100, then $500. Then there's Mackenzie King. He banned Chinese immigration altogether, on July 1, 1923. During the Dirty Thirties, he said he wouldn't give a red cent to anyone who didn't vote Liberal. Then there is the treatment of Japanese Canadians during WWII.
  2. I assume you search within the YouTube site?
  3. I'm sure you've all heard that John A. Macdonald's statue was removed in Victoria - due to his treatment of our Aboriginal people. However, I will only take that gesture seriously if someone follows suit with a Laurier statue. I'm not holding my breath...
  4. It is the end when you’re a Conservative in Canada. Let’s face it, it’s far easier for Liberals to get elected in this country.
  5. All teams are equal, but some are more equal than others.
  6. I’m beginning to understand why he didn’t win the leadership race - sounds like one of the MPs Harper had to muzzle.
  7. You’re trying too hard - he’s 44. He would more than likely get injured very quickly.
  8. You have to admit - it was a little too easy for Masoli. We’ll see what happens on Friyay...
  9. We ate at one out in Lloydminster - fantastic appetizers.
  10. There must be a washed up QB sitting on his couch down south...

  13. Watch the highlights.
  14. The attempts by TSN to pump Manziel’s tires were simply pathetic. Watch the game recap (on cfl.ca), they actually sound desperate.
  15. To the surprise of no one - those two teams were the Grey Cup champions.

  19. Could we dream about - an all import defence...
  20. It’s whack alright. Many games hinge on a handful of big plays and anything can happen but if you get hot after labour day.
  21. If a QB can’t throw from the pocket, the rest of his skill set is a moot point.
  22. Franklin expedition sunk
  23. It works for them, they stick with it. Better than teams like the Als who don’t design plays that would make their players better.
