I would still like to see us get a bully who can put the body on smaller defensive backs … basically Duke. It’s an element we are missing but it doesn’t prevent us from being the GC favorite and it doesn’t put the Riders over the top so whatever.

Collaros is easily the MOP favorite. He’s pacing out to a 4850 yard, 27 TD, 9 INT season and completing passes at a 72% clip. Those are MOP numbers.

I really like Fajardo as a guy, seems like a good guy to have in the league but there’s absolutely no way he’s regarded as a hyped up MOP candidate if he plays for literally any other team in the league. Vernon Adams produced an incredibly comparable season to Fajardo last year and all we hear is “can he do it again? Gotta prove it for more than one season” but somehow Fajardo as a one-year wonder is getting the kind of respect VA would be lucky to get after 3 or 4 all-star worthy seasons. I genuinely think it’s a two horse race this year for MOP as of right now. Collaros and VA.

Based on the things I’ve heard about how excited Walters is about Mourtada, I imagine he will be on the roster as soon as he is allowed to be. Also worth mentioning is that he isn’t here to be developed - he’s 31 years old. He’s here for the now.
