  1. I can think of so many times holm has gone full speed to the opposite side of the field to take a tackle on a players that’s not even his. Those numbers aren’t reflective of just completions.

Anyway I’m logging on to see where Jamal went from the injury list. DT didn’t say anything about changes in his visits to practice. Maybe a new returner?

Case you don't "believe" me....he played and was highly regarded like Alford and Nichols....where is the Holm mention?

I wouldn’t have mentioned Holm’s name as a projected starter pre-preseason this year either. His rookie year was just ok.

I could attach some articles of during preseason about holm…but I think those were shared enough 😂

The sun using Parker’s name in the same sentence as Alford and Nichols to me is so laughable. Parker is good for sure, but not legend like them omfg.

No...Rose and Lawrence were projected corners...like Grey Cup...west final and last few games of yr

Parker had 7 starts last yr...and more games overall compared to Holms 4....so not sure what u were watching to determine Parker hadn't played a "real" team in over a year..nice try tho

And 2023 Parker is better than 2022 Parker too...Parker is also one best pure tacklers on team...and showed it a lot last yr...again...not sure what you were watching...also...do u not think other players have improved immensely?? Have you been to practice to watch? I have...also have talked with coaches in the spring and were looking forward to Parker's continuation...and he also played lights out in preseason until hurt....

Edit: my bad, I do believe he did rotate at halfback in preseason, but corner was likely going to be his spot due to rose injury.

When I said a year, I mean he has not played a non preseason game on D since 2022, I still stand by that.

He played there last yr and was fine...and I know u all love Holm...and he has been good...but Parker is better all around, and was the projected starter before he got hurt....even a rotation of him and Holm would be beneficial is certain sets

McCrae really is a nice luxury, but we don't use him enough on offence to make it worth the while for sub par returning, and losing the field position battle on returns, plus Parker could offer way more benefits on kick coverage, as well as defensive depth and rotation,,,, Parker for Mcrae...Fox for Jackson would make us so much better

Parker was a projected starter at corner due to injuries. Holm was projected starter at half. We haven’t seen Parker on field in nearly a year against a real team so saying he’s better than holm who has improved immensely in the last year isn’t a possible comparison. 2023 holm is better than 2022 parker. I can remember parker having more than a bit to work on last season.

  5. I meannnnn they did exactly what I thought they’d do. Though I didn’t think they’d use an extra fullback instead of a DL. After 4 years following this team, they’re very predictable. I’m not mad, we’ll be fine. It’s a great lineup. I still think Parker should be in rose spot if it was my team, but it’s not and I figure they always prioritize the vet. And the other DBs are strong there so they won’t move. He put up a few days in practice and sounds like they liked the guys they had better. Gotta trust they saw enough. They see these guys every day at practice - at the end of the day that means more than the bit we see in games from them.

  6. It’s interesting because we have great players… and we’ve shown we could do it in the first 3 quarters.. and yet here we are. There are only a few players that are consistently poor in my eyes. Even if we cut them, we still lose this game.. as some of our most game changing errors were on some of our best players 2nd half.
The numerous errors on O led to our D being out there damn near all half, getting piss tired, and not being able to execute on a critical drive. The loss is on everyone tonight.
We’re in need of this bye week coming up. I mean...our injured list is going on 2 pages after tonight.. I think we’re roughed up and tired and it showed.

Everyone loves to see a giant fall… but you know what they love even more? A comeback kid

U don't need to tell me anything...he earned it cause 2 injuries...so if that's earning to u so be it...he was a hold over from last yr..and Osh will favour a hold over

I know the defence they were running...as it was obvious as a fack...and being up in a suite watching the whole field..ya...I can definitely say it was his guy...

Dimwit Usher said it all at halftime..have to play more dirty...nuff said

Here’s a quote from BA from the post they released today on the WBB website. “And that big play before that… that was a big ‘my fault’, as well.  I should have been there for Holmie (Evan Holm) on the post, and I wasn’t there. That’s definitely my fault. I’m glad I was able to make it up on the next one. To be honest with you, that interception shouldn’t have even needed to happen because I should have been back there on that post play.”

Nothing against Holm...he's just not all that and a slice of cheese...injuries did t happen he wouldn't be starting..and I bet by end of yr he won't be.

His tackling isn't great...and in traffic he gets lost and almost confused...if anything he should be on boundary corner.

Seen area where it comes from...

No u were correct..that was his guy

We ran several sets with Lawson...and our 3 ends and everytime basically we were causing havoc

Lawler will take Agudosi spot..who was taken by McRae ...

Murphy will be off...he was awful on kick coverage...not sure if it's noticeable on the tv view and BOLO is the backup Canadian receiver...when Demski is back be nice to have McRae on roster too with Lawler but not sure how we swing that...I'd like to see a game of Lawson in the nose and a 3..hybrid 4 man front with the ends...and sit Walker to do that...and insert McRae...doubt we do it...but who knows...if we can get Ford back it opens up huge roster possibilities tho..and we could throw him on corner and change up ratio

If you can’t see that he’s earned a starting spot this season idk what to tell you 😂

you can’t know it was his guy, period. you can guess, but unless you’re in the drawing room you can’t know, doesn’t matter what view you have.

There was a couple deep ones Holm was chasing, one before the Alexander int, which I felt there should have been help from the safety (but what do I know) another one late that the als got deep, looked like Holm and Darby both took the inside and Holm had to scramble to pick up the guy going out. That is likely the younger player making an error but who is to say unless we know all their assignments

The deep ball holm turned towards the line rather than inside which makes me think he had outside and BA had inside. But you’re right, no way of knowing.

Booch has something against Holm. He got beat a few times last night, against a speedster. It happens. Didn't give up huge plays though.

He also tackles just fine and isn't afraid to get after the run.

Swarmy is a nice surprise. Essentially locked down one of the leagues top rec through the first couple of weeks. If the rest can get healthy, our secondary could be very very good.

    That’s obvious 😂

Im excited to watch swarmy develop. You can tell they’re playing him off the ball as you would with a rookie but his tackling once he’s there is strong. I still think our guys on IR will swoop in and replace him and Houston eventually with rose and Parker however.

You know Booch, i love Jake. After today's game , i have to agree with ya. But ,on one player i won't is 31. Just wish that kid was a few pounds heavier. He's a baller.

    We gave up 3 points..........

Agree. Holm had an off second half, kept messing with his wrist it looked like? Rest of the season he’s been fun to watch. If he’s progressed this much since last season, I’m excited to see the rest.

I’m a numbers guy so I will say that in terms of size, all of our DBs are undersized - that’s the cfl in general for DBs….

    holm 5’11 182, daramy 5’9 176, houston 5’10 173, nichols 5’9 180, Lawrence 6’ 201, Parker 5’8 188, rose 5’11 172, McGhee 5’10 185, Muhammad 5’10 189. That makes him tied for second tallest and  third heaviest. Not including safety or dime.
