I thought that they only played 16 games. Maybe my memory is failing me.
You’re right, 16 games.

It must be nice to be BC and to not have a SMS to follow.
All teams can follow the BC SMS system if they want to.

I get that bc couldn’t let him walk else where. vaj has never been consistent or been able to win in the clutch.
The real dumb thing bc did was throwing Rourke right in. They should’ve held him back a month easily while he built chemistry with the team again, learned the play book etc. even vaj missing shouldn’t have been met with instant Rourke play.
He’s going into his sophomore play in the worst way possible. This isn't his sophomore year, it's his third year with the Lions.

I for one was more bashing TSN’s idea of Rourke than the player himself.
I’m not sure one way or the other but does anyone know if Rourke is Ben Cahoon Canadian or actual Canadian?
True Canadian. Born in Victoria, raised in Ontario and played high school football there. Went to College in the states.

Have people already forgotten the old man that bought the Als then dropped dead within a few months? Left the team to his idiot son-in-law Gary Stern who convinced him to buy the team in the first place and who was consequently restricted by the shareholders from involvement with the team. I think within 6 months the Als were back under CFL control.
Sid Speigel is the old guy who bought the Als and dropped dead. Howver he was 89 or 90 years old when he did.

If one player we should have walked away from due to injury concerns it's Hallet...
It’s always amazed me how he could still be on the team. Must be part of a package deal with his brother. Hire one, you have to hire both.

I have been saying this for at least a year- Rourke will be our qb in 2025.
Rourke is a NY Giant. Unless he’s released he won’t becoming here. If he is released, he will continueto explore all NFL opportunities. Forget about Rourke.

You change the ball and when the kickers complain you fine them. No input allowed. You’re right, he is a tool.

Booch seemingly not upset with the cuts + Mason Bennett hopefully on the way has me breathing a sigh of relief. I don't know enough to know enough but am intrigued to see week 1 depth chart ...
Maybe he meant Mason Fine. 😁😁

I wonder why the CFL would suspend a guy who is aleady retired? I guess at least he is still kind of around to suspend i guess?? Better late than never? 😄
If they suspend him then he can’t pull a Tom Brady.

Montreal has a guy named Randy Rhino!!! RANDY RHINO!!! ... this is the greatest name I've ever heard... why have we never heard of this guy!?
Randy Rhino was a well known player. Played for 6 years, 3 time CFL all star and lead the league in punt returns.

Cahoon's National status was biggest joke ever to be honest...Woli has more claim to than Cahoon
Rourke was born here but all of his formative training that actually matters was in the U.S....
From what I read Rourke played in Ont. right thru high school. Then he went to the states for college. Sounds like most of his formative training was in Canada.

I’ll be in Wpg. this weekend. Is there a sports bar in the south end of town that is sure to have the game on? Thanks in advance.

If you were talking receiver, or even FT DE/DT you could be right. However, it is not hard to get even a raw rookie up to snuff enough to be a successful rotational DL. He can definitely help us this year.
That’s good to know. I have concerns about the DL. Always wondering when Jeffcoat may go down. Fingers crossed he won’t.

Wonder if he is/was a neg list guy that we were tracking as he exhausted any NFL opportunity...seems built for the CFL game
Unless there are 2 Garbutts, this guy is a rookie who has never been to a pro camp. Plus he’s missed almost half a year of the CFL to date. To me let’s hope we don’t have anymore Dline injuries because I don’t see how this guy can help us this year. Great looking prospect though.

Love this simile but given that Brady is a UND Fighting Hawk product rather than their arch rival NDSU Bison, perhaps "Flying like a Fighting Hawk" would be more to his liking 😅

I thought UND was the fighting. Sioux, or did they get politically corrected?

Is the game not on TSN? The schedule has College football and that’s hockey on every other channel.
