Berger is a former radio reporter who covered the Argos as sideline reporter about 30 years ago, and spent most of his career on the Leafs beat. He now works -- I'm not kidding -- at a funeral service, and often makes seemingly-in the-know predictions on social media. His track record for accuracy is not stellar. He's kind of Marty York Lite -- no longer working in the media but still wanting to seem connected.

The league has two wildly successful franchises, two or three that are struggling to attract and keep fans (one of those in the biggest market) and the rest somewhere in the middle but likely not turning a profit. The business can't sustain itself with status quo. So yes, I would agree there is desperation here.

Kudos for doing what many predictors fail to do: have the correct total of games league-wide, i.e. wins and losses both add up to 81. Well done!

Yes, they were far behind for most of the game (and ultimately lost by 20), but Brown torched the Argo defence for more than 400 yards in the Eastern Semifinal. He looked very legit to me.

Ryan Dinwiddie went straight from position coach (QBs) to head coach.

Yeah he's an anomaly - skipping the positional coach role to become a coordinator and then skipping OC or DC to become HC.  Can't recall any other HC in recent memory that has had a career path like that.

He is indeed one of a kind, albeit a bit injury-prone. I imagine Argos know they can bring back only one of those two (Brinkman and Ceresna). Both are gonna get paid, just like Hendrix did last year.

For the record, in the Grey Cup Toronto started nine NATs (4 o-line, 2 receivers, DE-LB-S) and used one other (Mital) on a lot offensive snaps.

The Argos cut both Priester and McFadden this season before bringing both back. Mgmt made some questionable choices early on in the secondary, but eventually corrected them. Both guys played in the 2022 Grey Cup; IIRC Priester missed all of 2023 with an injury but McFadden was a regular that season.

He was with Toronto in 2022 and looked quite good in the handful of games he played. I thought he was a lock to make the Argos last year but I guess they had too much INT depth on the d-line. I think he's gonna be a good player in this league.
