I completely disagree. The result of the play is the only thing that matters. I might give him a break if the defender made an outstanding tackle that resulted in a fumble...but that was a bad play all on him, it was grounds for getting cut bad. He's living on borrowed time right now.
I agree with you and I think that's why Matthews sits this week. O'Shea wants to see if Lawler can redeem himself and he wants to see how Walker performs to see if they will be ok cutting Lawler if he has the yips again this game. He knows what he has in Matthews, they are 4-0 playing an Eastern opponent so this is the time to do a sniff test.

Not this week. Wright will be the scratch.

Im confused, has Bighill been ruled out for the game? Why would Bighill not be playing MLB?

I just don't see a scenario in which he ever leaves the Lions.
I agree. We can only hope they lose all faith and release him and that he will accept lower money to come back to the Bombers. It happened with Bond but Bond isn't CDN so it wasn't priority to get him back.
PS - I don't really know the contract rules well enough to know if this could even happen.
-
It's cost. Everything is so expensive that people have to cut out the luxuries. i know several people at work who gave up their Jets and Bombers tickets over the last two years. Plus the Jets playoffs have absolutely taken away the Bombers Season tickets for some for sure. No money means watch at home. No TV for the cable cutters means find something else to do and lose interest.

It's weird because his whole interview was about how excited he was to return this week and how he feels it will be his debut all over again. It's a bit shocking to me because of that entire interview.

He's not coming back to Winnipeg. Barring road games for the Lions, anyway.
I didn't say he was. I was saying I hope he would if the chance came up. I hope he realizes the mistake he's made and how much better of a player Hardrick and Byrant made him. The fans are ready to write him off in BC but he was a great player for the Bombers with the right support on the line beside him and it would be nice to get him back if the right circumstances somehow presented themselves.
I don't ever expect they will but in my opinion it would be positive if they did.

1290 will never convince me that people actually want to hear them yak about the Jets all summer - just a serious lack of creativity on their part.
I was just thinking this on my ride in this morning. I am so sick of hearing about the RFAs not signing until Sept. When one signs tell us if not, **** off. Tell us some news about the CFL and actual sports that are being played right now.

He has a tricep injury too right now that might be limiting him as well. I hope he somehow wants to win and comes back to Winnipeg at the right $.

Walters had a terrible first year. Drew Willy....need I say more.
Drew Willy was pretty good for awhile until he got hurt. After that he was gun shy and it ruined him. But the trade Walters pulled off to unload Willy was exceptional.
Unfortunate I believe it was Faith that he picked with the number 1 overall from that trade that turned out to be a dud but not one person in the league saw that coming. No one.

This story sounds a lot like a Saturday night at the Beach Hotel in Winnipeg Beach back about fifteen years ago.

Not sure the league would allow it
They don't allow safe houses full of criminal athletes either but they still did that.

Yeah Warren looked really good in training camp. Bringing in Korey Jones as insurance, and probably an improvement over Temple (though I'd imagine a little more pricey)
Well this sounds promising and helps ease some of my worries lol! I guess the on field product will reveal what they really have but lets hope that we only need to see Biggie and Wilson start for the rest of the season.

we still have Warren on PR and we just signed K.Jones.
I forgot about Warren and I heard about Jones but I don't know much about either of them. I did say "starting" LB and like I said, I don't know much about either Warren or Jones so maybe they are quality starters?
-
I also heard that Nick Temple did something inappropriate and the police were involved which lead to his immediate release from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Football Club. The Bombers are thin in the starting LB position unless they are planning on promoting a ST. I guess we will know soon enough.

And they have used a lot of max protection against the Bombers in the past which give Masoily time to make those long passes to Banks et al. This will be interesting because the pressure D has been successful for the Bombers so far and I'm not sure how that is going to work out in Hamilton. We shall see on Friday.
