Yes, I certainly get that but my reaction is good for him. As a GM, you can't build a defense around guys like Muamba that just leave every year. I'm sure Adam Bighill wanted to provide security for his family as well. Yet, when he was still in his prime in 2018 he came to Winnipeg & in this world of one year deals put down roots. He even restructured his contract to take less to help sign other Bomber & CFL free agents.
I hate the one year deals. They do nothing for the CFL except let guys move around unfettered & have driven up salaries. We're the only pro league I know of that doesn't have some kind of restricted free agency yet we have a ridiculously low salary cap. Like most things the CFL does, to me it makes no sense.

Leo played TE & OLB for the Bombers from 1978-82. If the jersey just has normal stripes on the sleeves then it's from 1978 or 79. If it's 1980, it has the Bomber logo with a 50 on top of the arm stripes to mark 50 years as an organization. (It was the Bombers 50th birthday in 1980). In 1981-82, the Bomber logo is on top of the three stripes.

Muamba always chased a paycheque rather than a championship. He'd rather play for a winless team as long as they paid the most. He could have gone down as one of the greats. Money rather than championships was his priority.

This isn't a jersey but it does have to do with a CFL collectible. I have one of the first printings in paperback of Jim Young's book, "Dirty 30". Even though he was never a Bomber, I still loved the guy because he was a true Canadian Superstar when he played. How he got to the CFL via that intraleague NFL-CFL trade in 1967, the way he played, his flamboyancy & controversy made me a natural to be one of his biggest fans as a teen. My book is in rough shape as it's 50 years old. The back is falling apart & the glue is failing so the pages are coming out. It's just.... old!
I contacted this place in Edmonton who repair old books & they said that they could redo the book & make it look better than brand new. I contacted Jim Young on Facebook & told him who I was & asked once the book is repaired, would he be kind enough to autograph it for me? He said yes! Just have to ship it up for repairs to get 'er done. Then contact Jim Young.

Just remember for every dollar they spend on building high school football stadiums that's just means less money for the classroom.

I don’t think we have any sex pests like Chad Kelly or any overall assholes, but one of our best players definitely doesn’t make good life choices all the time.
Not that it’s an issue, I’m just saying it’s not unique to other teams

How did the CFL ever miss the Gravy Train??? As a fan, I'd take just one tenth of that growth thrown our way. .

I go old school. I'm old enough to be some of these young player's grandfather so I feel more comfortable wearing a jersey with a name from the 1960's-80's.

Glenn Howard is playing with his son in the Brier and he's old as dust.
Jones has been able to play this long because she's smart and consistent. The physical side has definitely caught up to her.
The game can grind you down and playing in bonspiels is grueling.
I think about it a lot, of why we don't see older players, but I think it's more physical than you think. Also, eventually, you just can't play that much. To be a top team, you need to play a lot, or win everything you do play, which isn't feasible.
Jones' career was stretched out by winning the Scotties so often, she didn't have to win Manitoba each year and then they expanded the size of the pool.

Randy Ambrosie is a coward. The shittiest Commissioner the CFL has ever had.  Oh look, an Ambrosie sighting coming out of his cave.

Young was a real renegade in his day....How could you not like the guy....He represented to me a guy who played with a big chip on his shoulder but also had the talent that went along with it....I remember him playing with, let's say an 'edge'...I always thought the description 'dirty' was a misnomer...BUT he liked it....One of the best canucks to have played in the Cfl

You don't fart around with people's money. He would have to study to get licensed & then take part in some in depth training & guidance from his superiors at work. He would have to put in the work.

For how long? Until the court case is done? Remember that the team itself has been named as part of the lawsuit, so it’s not as simple as “until their internal investigation is done”, since they are part of their own investigation. Do you think they will rule against themselves and admit wrongdoing if they plan to contest the civil suit? And suppose they find Kelly did wrong in their investigation and then he is cleared civilly in the suit - does he then have a wrongful termination suit against them? Or vice versa, they find he did no wrong and he loses the civil suit, does the employee get extra damages in another defamation suit against the club? Or does the court get tainted by the club’s findings, one way or another?
Too many folks here ready to tar and feather based on half the story only told so far from one side and not be patient enough to let the judicial process play out. Harmful to both sides.
