  1. pretty small percentage. The PA isn't against it in any league.
  2. They'll show up or they will be in violation of their contracts & won't get paid, I assume. I haven't heard one player say he won't show up in any league.
  3. Thought this might have been about Hub cities.
  4. Anyone could see just how bad their quarterbacking was.
  5. Almost everything bad in America can be traced back to the Civil War. Slavery. The Gold Rush in California. Opening The West. The Railroad. The Oregon Trail. The War Of Independence. First settlements in New England. The Vikings... The first fish to walk on land. The Big Bang Theory.
  6. In 1969, we had a running back in camp named Darwin 'Go Go' Gonnerman. One of those hyped signings. I think he was one of the reasons Lunsford traded All Canadian halfback Dave Raimey to the Argos for Wally Gabler. Earl thought he could be a great running back but it didn't turn out that way. Gonnerman was an underwhelming player. He lasted 3 games & his career with the Bombers was finished. He suffered an injury either in a game or at practice. He has zero carries & receptions for the Bombers but had 5 KO returns for 150 yards which was a 30 yard return average. He was a bit player with Ottawa & Edmonton in 1970 & 71. Never forgot his name... Go Go Gonnerman.
  7. I call your a & raise you a b. They say Kennedy killed Marilyn Monroe. Clinton was a sexual predator.
  8. Two rights don't make a ring.
  9. Yeah, agree. I liked Reagan.
  10. I'm not sticking up for the Republicans. I despise what they've become. Just saying at one point there were decent men & women who belonged to that party.
  11. I go back a lot further than you do. Back in the 60's the Republicans were a responsible party. There wasn't the same kind of Tea Party social conservatism like today. Aside from Nixon's disastrous second term with Watergate, he did negotiate an end to the Vietnam War. He visited Communist China in 1971 which at the time was extraordinary. The Reagan Years were a success, especially his first term as well. Star Wars brought the breakdown of Communist Russia & Eastern Europe until the Contra Affair scandal but there may be evidence Reagan's faculties may not have been all there in 1987 with early stages of Alzheimers.
  12. Republicans used to be the party of business & common sense. Now, they make no sense at all.
  13. I only heard it was the Argos.
  14. I'm amazed that Florida Governor DeSantis is allowed to do what he does unfettered. That there's no political opposition or backlash.
  15. Apparently, Walker made $250,000 with the Argos last year & expects even more this season. BC Lions paid Lamar Durant $200,000 last season. No wonder these teams lose multi millions of dollars. These GMs are so financially irresponsible. Mike Reilly still hasn't volunteered to take a paycut like Mitchell did in Calgary.
  16. Like a drowning man grabbing at the water hoping to pull himself out. That walk from the helicopter by Trump??? Bet that was a fun ride back to Washington on Air Force One.
  17. Remember he has the nuclear codes, too.
  18. Trump was summoning his Inner Kavis on that walk...
  19. Could you even make it to the other side?
  20. They say there's a vacuum of leadership in the White House. The space that should occupy Trump's brain in his skull is empty. A total vacuum
  21. I heard it in the media so naturally I would think that... All we heard all week is talk of Covid 19, no social distancing, super spreader... Of course it's the media.
  22. I remember the 1974 training camp. The Bombers had signed a hotshot qb out of the University of Houston named DC Nobles. He showed up first day of training camp driving a brand new Cadillac or Lincoln Continental. After that grand entrance he proceeded to struggle through training camp & pre season. He was cut. Who was the qb who made the team & backed up Don Jonas?? Why, it was an unknown rookie named Ralph Brock. He wouldn't be called Dieter for a few years yet. It was said that he had such a strong arm he could throw a football through a car wash & it wouldn't get wet.
  23. So, what to make of this? The media led us to believe that thousands upon thousands of supporters were just waiting to get into the arena. That the place would be packed to the rafters & it turns out it wasn't. No wonder people on both sides feel there's fake news.
  24. Khari Jones Dad was my facebook friend years ago. On more than one occasion we had some long late-night chats about football. Great guy.
  25. Well, why wouldn't he think that? He thinks he'll win. Otherwise, why bother running?
