I gave MOS a reprieve from criticism last year when he finally yanked Willy, but it's going to be hard to not criticize him watching how poorly we come out in the 2nd half of games. That was as demoralizing a game as I could have watched last night, everything was in place. Playing a team that has owned our stadium, riddled with injuries, and not playing very well. The Stamps sucked last night compared to their usual efforts and we just served up the game on a platter.
    Serenity now.

somebody in chat said, there haven't been many games where the Moss team played well for an entire game. Even last week's game, where they went into a shell and let sask back into a game .
yesterday, Moss, with no time outs at end of half reverting to pre win streak decision making style?
As somebody else  pointed out, this seems pretty much like a Drew Willy  game from last season. Even down to the Adams drop of a pass right to hiim. Adams puzzles me.
back to defence fights and plays well, and finally collapses cause O does next to nothing.
Bomber Home field still not a place other teams need to worry about.

    3 stars:
Dressler - Did everything they asked of him.
Harris - Ran hard and caught a bunch out of the backfield.
Health - 2 picks, but I still don't know who BLM was throwing to on the second one.
HH - JFG for getting a TD, but why the heck are we trying to throw it deep to him?

Ya. Bombers tend to crap the bed when big crowds show up.. Its not that they lost thats troubling in my opinion... Its how they played that was.
From the opening clock killing drive ending in an INTERCEPTION to soft D zone coverage to dumb penalties( Roc) to brutal O play calling.. It was truly a mess.

Some good misdirection movement on O......
Nichols drilled on back to back plays, early....
Getting Andrew Harris involved.....always a good idea....
Nichols moving the ball with the ole curls and hooks.....
...but throws real bad end zone INT from the 10 yd line....
Bombers dominating TOP but score still 0-0..
Leggett picks off BLM...but is hit with IC call...
Hurl and Wild overrun Stamp short pass into 40 yd gain.....
Calgary gets it deep...but Messam drops screen pass..
FG has the Stamps up 3-0...
Bombers 3rd and 1 play by Lefavour snuffed out....
Both teams leaving points on the field....
Lankford has big missed FG return...but fumbles at end of it
Blue now down 3-0 in turnover battle.....
Hurl misses tackle on Messam short pass for bigger gain....
Stamps down to the 3 yd line.....but are stuffed twice at the goal-line...
3rd down pass incomplete!  But the Roc was lined up offside....
Blue hang in and make 2 more stops...
Stamps finally score on end around....the 6th attempt from the 2....
Too many key mistakes from the Bombers today..  9-0 Stamps..
0 points on offense in first 21 minutes....
Heath called for greasy PI....but gets INT on the very next play....
BLM missing a lot of his passes...at this point....
Stamp defender piggybacks Harris....somehow needed review to get the call....
Nichols hits JFG on a slant, defender misses tackle....for 20 yd Bomber TD...
Randell playing another pretty good game...so is Heath....
MLB Singleton for the Stamps....is a stud...
Dumb roughing penalty on Nichols...sets up 23 yd Medlock FG...
Bombers have forged into the lead......10-9 at the half...
No time out from MOS...to get a few more plays before half?
BLM still misfiring on some throws.....
Roc C. misses tackle on short pass.....long gain down the sideline...
...starting to test O'Shea's patience here.....
BLM misses in end zone.....Stamp FG makes 12-10
Hurl...couple of good plays...and a couple of missed tackles...
Stamps "depleted" DL getting good inside pressure on Nichols....
Nichols turns color blind and throws slant pass right into LB hands...
    ....27 yd INT return....Bombers 4th turnover.....Stamps 19-10...
Not often the Blue lose turnover battle this bad...and win..
Harris taking the load on O with his running and receiving....
BLM getting more time to throw it now...Stamps starting to take over....
Bovine proceeds to throw perfect end zone pass....right over the Roc...
    ....3 TD's against in 2 games.....really testing MOS's patience...
26-10.  This Roc may need to be dislodged.....
Medlock is punting the ball very well, so far this season.....
Stamps O ripping it up...at this point...
Bomber O dinking it down at this point...
Not sure that DB's are afraid of an O "going horizontal"
TOP completely turned around.....Bomber D on the field all day, now...
Nevis and Dung Man can ball inside.....
...have they sent out a search party for Westerman yet?
Does anyone have better depth than the Stamps?   Yet again....
Lankford looks like a car without steering wheel....on these returns....
Least amount of noise probably made....by 30,000 people.....
The crippled, beat up, etc. Calgary D has allowed 10 points....
Stamps O really is great at working the wide side of the field....
Heralded Bomber OL....allowing more big hits on Nichols...
Nichols overthrows Adams on long bomb.....
...then throws 3rd down pass to no one in particular....
5th Bomber turnover....and yes, those are boos coming down....
MOS, Lapo, and Hall.....to some extent....put the C in conservative...
Stamp receivers making tough catches and YAC....Blue guys, not so much..
Stands clearing out with 5 minutes to go.....as if there was hot sale at thrift store..
Outscored 22-0 in 2nd half.   Another egg laid in the IGF hen house.....
....or Bo's Personal Playground.....if you prefer....
Playing for the Win......kinda hard to tell tonight..
    Praying for the Gin.....you bet.

Wow, you nailed it JBR!  Arcenaux has ABSOLUTELY blown guys up, I mean, blown them up to smithereens, on MANY an occasion. He is a big, mean, nasty, effective receiver who completely manhandles little DB's and would absolutely NOT hesitate - at any point - to make a point to destroy a DB in a chase position, say, looking the wrong way. So, in this case, he just met a man who is as big and mean and he is...if Arcenaux gets up after that hit, there is absolutely (too many "absolutelys?") no way the ref chucks that flag.

So the Bombers are finished for another year. Sad yes but I was certain that they wouldn't be in this position when the year started. Yeah they had some good players but they never seemed to get their act together.
Well, they made me eat crow and I honestly could not be happier of that. Yeah it would have been great to go further but I thought we were just a few pieces short to do so. Surprisingly I was okay with that because this team showed me they are for real and it has been a very long, long time since I have gone into the off-season very optimistic that they ARE a few pieces away. Not even 2011 left me with that feeling.
So I could whine and ***** about today but I would much rather enjoy the huge steps forward this team took. That has been a hard thing to obtain for the Bombers. I can easily wait a bit more because there is now light at the end of the tunnel when I thought we hadn't even entered it yet.
Thanks to all the 2016 Bombers you brought a lot pride and honour back to this franchise and community.

I don't agree with the majority on here. That WAS a great football hit. Over and over again. But, in that situation, it definitely was a penalty. Hitting a defenceless receiver. That penalty has been called in the NFL, CFL, and any FL league that has any credence. You see the consequences of that hit. Arceneaux -out.
Love the aggressiveness of the hit, and I wouldn't stop my players from doing it, because, it was close, and Loffler hit cleanly, but it is dangerous.
I'd expect a flag every time.

we can't ignore the "what if he caught it" factor... this is Manny Arceneaux we're talking about here... if the ball is remotely close to him, there's about a 90% chance he's catching it...
So what if Manny had the ball in his hands and Loffler's hit jars it loose preventing a TD... does he still get a penalty?... Does that mean safeties are now in a lose-lose situation where they have to decide give up a TD or risk taking a penalty while knocking the ball loose, with a clean hit no less...
it's such a grey area in this case... it's a great hit and would hate to see it taken out of the game... but how do you protect a wr extending for a catch??

Loffler didnt have time to stop and say...oh ok he didn't catch it. He was in the air when Manny tipped the ball away. He was making a football play during the most important game of the year to seperate the ball from the rec. Didn't lead with his head. Even turned away from the hit. Two big guys running like that, there's bound to be an accident here or there. They called Loffler only cause Manny didn't get up. it unfortunate, but you can't penalise guys for accidents. If Loffler had jumped under Manny's chin, then sure that's not good. But he didn't. Manny was Ko'd as a result of playing hard football. Not cause Loffler tried to hurt him.

Loved the hit, I didnt think it deserved a penalty though.  I kept thinking about the terry ray hit on pat woodcock, but the difference there was Ray hit him as the ball was hitting his hands, Loffler had a full step or 2 after the ball went off his hands. I can see why it was called but it is what it is.
In the end I hope Arceneaux is alright

two big guys running full tilt towards each other. Loffler did not lead with his head. Turned away from the hit. The ball had just been tipped away as Loffler went for contact. Slowing it down and analysing is one thing. But in real time. There's no chance to change what you're doing. It happens way way way to fast. Like I said Loffler didn't do anything illegal. He got penalized because Manny got KO'd. Case in point...Dressler gets leveled the play before the field goal..no penalty on the same type of hit. Only one difference. Dressler got up. Accidents happen. When there is no illegal actions involved, you can't penalise a guy for an accident.

Super well-said. Agreed that MOS has earned another contract (but I'd say two years, not three). But boy, that said, if it ever WAS possible to blow your new contract with one incredibly bone-headed call - as stupid as any play call ever IN THE HISTORY OF FOOTBALL - this would be the way to do it.

Went away from Harris in the second half and stopped running the ball, it's pretty clear that keeping Harris involved through 4 Q's should be an important part of the game plan.

Agreed it's not about one play. We lost that game for many reasons, most of them having to do with a defense that has been shredded for major yards WAY too many time this year. BUT...that doesn't mean that it's "reactionary" to point out that 1 play involved ridiculous and faulty reasoning by our coach. Look, the fact is we don't know if we would have converted on 3rd and 4, but we do reliably know that the odds of our kicker making a 61-yarder (when he has not done that all year and said himself his outside range is 57) are extremely low. What you look for from your coach is to weigh the odds and make a rational decision that increases your odds of winning. MOS absolutely failed to do that at the end of the game, therefore the "one play" is absolutely worth mentioning. Put it this way: if MOS gambles on third and 4 and we lose, no one is blaming any aspect of this on him. It's all on the D, firstly, and then, secondly, about the O not showing up in the second half. But because he did what he did, his call becomes the third factor that must be discussed.
