Sard got a reaction from SPuDS in Biggest Rivalry in the CFL: Regina Winnipeg
Didn't you know that was only because of all of the turnovers that we aren't going to be able to get again this year?

Can somebody please tell me why our secondary is considered "weak"?
Randle has proven his worth over the years and despite injuries his level of play has not decreased. Heath is regarded as one of the best in the game. Loffler may just be the best safety in the league. Johnson although some have picked on makes the roster and starts year after year. Fogg had some good games last year and should only improve.
The riders are starting Jovon Johnston...
Seems like we have some decent depth too... and with increased pressure from the line we should be okay...
knock on wood

Agreed...I would say we have the best O-line and thats not being a homer.
They seriously believe over there that they have a solid deep O-line and a crazy good D-line...how they see that I just don't know

One of them called Bond mediocre this morning.

Reading on Riderfans how some posters actually believe that they have a better O-line than the Bombers, which they consider weak-mediocre. Totally myopic fan base, so engrossed with their own team and "Hillbilly Jones Medicine Show" that they know virtually nothing about any other team in the league. Just makes it all the easier to hate them and pile on.

Did you wake up before the end of the first half or something?

ya, exactly. I think this quote is more so in reference to all the people who keep saying "its not going to happen, they can't duplicate their turnover success.. " as opposed to saying that is what their primary focus is.
obviously the primary focus is to force 2 and outs, stop the run and minimize any completed passes.. pressure will cause the mistakes that lead to turnovers.

I'm lost. Why does everyone think us being optimistic about this week is being optimistic about improvements?
We were 11-7 last year. Our opponent was a dumpster fire.

If you saw the game yesterday, between the Ticats and the Argos, you saw what Zach Collaros is really like when you don't have
a) decent blocking and b.) a proper OC, you know, like the Bombers were like not too long ago. So, ask yourselves, would he really have been better here, with the lineup we were putting out in the past?

He literally did the exact same thing on two other catches. I'm shocked it didn't get challenged even once.

Many people mentioned this already... but if they're not gonna call an obvious offensive PI like on that Duke Williams touchdown... then there might as well be no more defense in the CFL...

Personally, I'd have Mike Reilly at number one, ahead of BLM... I think Bo is fantastic and would love him on my team... but I think Reilly has a better arm, more mobile (though that is starting to decrease with age/injuries), better improviser and is more likely to "carry a team on his back" so to speak... just my opinion...
I'd also have Harris ahead of Messam... Harris is the better all-around back...

Two for two
2 games played, 2 reviews gone bad
C’mon man
What we're approaching is the point where the Command Centre (C’mon Centre) is becoming irrelevant.
Seriously.
What can we expect from here?
There are 79 games left in the schedule. How many command centre reviews?
How many will be bad?
So, what's the point?
Do we have to have a review on the reviews?
Let me put this straight out there. It's not the refs that are screwing up. They're making the calls they see….right or wrong. Percentages.
The Command Centre don't have luxury of percentages. They must get these reviews right.
They are failing.
C’mon man

I don't know than every league is bush league. Did we all not complain about replays outcomes in NHL playoffs. NFL the same every weekend some is complaining about a review.

I know a good way for a new comissioner to put his stamp on league and re establish trust with fans and coaches. It starts here

Sard got a reaction from Starman115 in Command center
Now to be clear, you're talking about the fumble in the 4th quarter right? I absolutely agree that they got it wrong, and it didn't even look close on the replay.
I could see why the refs on the field got it wrong because it was very close, but the replay showed it clearly.

Sard reacted to Brandon in Command center
I just don't get how TSN could freeze frame it clearly showing his leg was not down and the ball was out... yet command center still not get it right?
It was crystal clear...

Only team in the CFL that I really dislike is Stampeders.
Love seeing BLM lose.
interesting to see how harris does this year. Not sure he's all that great.

Sard reacted to WBBFanWest in Stripped TD
Sorry. The ball is touching him, but he does not have possession. Touching the ball and having possession is not the same thing.

Sard reacted to SPuDS in Stripped TD
yes, it has. as soon as its "loose" its not in possession anymore. as you see, it spins out of his control right before the plane is broken...

Sard reacted to Dr. Blue in Stripped TD
According to the rule book a touchdown is:
and possession is defined as:
I don't believe there is an element of complete possession, either the player has possession or he doesn't. She can't be a little bit pregnant...
The ball turns sideways before it crosses the plane of the goal line. To me, that would indicate that the ball is not firmly held.

Reffing on the field is a hard, thankless task. Game speed with professional athletes. Mistakes will be made.
But sitting in a booth will a tv monitor, slow motion, camera angles, pause, rewind, zoom?
They continue to get things wrong. That's just incompetence, plain and simple. No excuse.
The ball was out before he crossed the line. How difficult is that to see?

Sard reacted to Mark F in Stripped TD
I recall that the refs did a lot to help ruin quite a few games last season.
long breaks to discuss something, a lot of missed calls, and a lot of flags for nothing.
Like somebody posted, D lineman one millimetre over the line gets a flag, while receiver repeatedly offside gets nothing.
Worst of all for me, was ignoring head shots and late hits, specially on Quarterbacks. Sometimes, while standing right there, looking directly at the play.
League seems to be unable to get this part right. Given the record of the guy that blew the touchdown call last night , (3downnation article) and he's still there.... makes you wonder.
