Sard reacted to Goalie in Game day thread: Montreal here
You are wrong about Harris. And are acting like a couple BS calls didnt hurt us either. It went both ways and has in every game this season... PI on Hollins was because after 5 yards you cant touch the receiver and he did.. Harris wasnt down cuz a guy with the ability to zoom in and out... Said so.
His elbow didnt hit the ground.. It really didnt... Neither did his knee...
But talking about BS calls... Guess you missed the 3 or 4 against the bombers also.
U gonna go in the BC thread and talk how BC got screwed? Cuz they actuly did on that late PI

Lost in it all... Bond at one point did an Arn Anderson spine buster on someone... it was a thing of beauty

I thought Knox was guilty of that numerous times, he's a big powerful guy but he needs to use his arms more to tackle properly.

So even though BC played poorly in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, they deserve to win, but because we played poorly in the 4th we don't?
Just trying to understand the logic here... neither team played 100% for the full 60 minutes so how can you say that one team really deserved to win more than the other.
Same goes for our game against Montreal, both teams play well for parts of the game but we set ourselves up well to put the final nail in the coffin with no time left on the clock.

Dear Gotmilt
"We can talk about the other stuff tomorrow and fix it, but you can’t take anything away from that effort and the finish and the win and they should celebrate it tonight with their teammates because that was incredible.” – Mike O’Shea.

Sard got a reaction from kelownabomberfan in Wiecek's Article
The only time I've noticed O'Shea "talking down" to people is when they ask inane questions. When an intelligent football question is asked, he lights up and engages with the person asking the question as if he was sitting down and having a beer with a buddy. Just because Weicek is one of the guys usually asking the inane questions, he's got his feelings hurt and that's why he writes the crap that he does about O'Shea and the team in general. The people responding to his articles likely only read what he writes and so only have what he has to say as a reference and don't really know what they are talking about.

Highlighted your first mistake... hasn't anyone ever told you that the west side sucks?
I'm in 209 and I've got one guy near me who was biatching about Richie Hall for most of the game, but generally the rest of the guys in that group have been pretty reasonable. Not always looking for the negative at least.

Another example of trying to knock a guy down rather than wrap him up. Loffler had him slowed down and was about to wrap up his legs when another Bomber defender (can't remember who it was but I think it was one of the LBs) came in shoulder first and just knocked him out of Loffler's grasp... if he had tried to wrap the fullback up, it would have been a gain of somewhere around 10 rather than whatever ridiculous number it ended up being (too lazy to look it up right now)

Regarding the D, and some of the runs Montreal had, there were a ton of missed tackles that make it look bad. Get the initial tackles made and there's a lot less given up.

Sard reacted to Mr Dee in What would it take to fire a coordinator?
The Bombers required only 56 seconds to go 69 yards to score. That's execution against a tough D.
Then a masterfully executed kickoff, designed by O'Shea by the way, and the Bombers, inexplicably, had a chance.
Then, they gutted it out in less than 40 seconds to complete the comeback.
Those late points, plus the points we had already scored was the part of the game where we were better than the Alouettes.
That's how I can believe we deserved to win.
Tell me, did BC deserve to win last week?
-
Sard reacted to blue_gold_84 in What would it take to fire a coordinator?
What did the Als do any better to "deserve" the win? The fact is this: the Bombers got the win. How they did it was not a pretty effort but two points are two points. The end result is what matters here.
You still haven't explained why you agree with that plug Wiecek or why you now feel O'Shea is hated and has a bad attitude.

No, you're wrong colonel sanders!
bad attitude with the fans, lol. Are you watching the same interviews and listening to the same stuff as the rest of us? Maybe this is Wieck in disguise..

I didn't know we scored all 41 points in the last minute, why is no one reporting this??

Sard reacted to Nash00 in What would it take to fire a coordinator?
Do you ever hear him snipe at guys like Irving or Tait, even some of the visiting media? Not me.
It just seems to be the local hacks who can't give two shits to even tweet about what goes on at practice, TC etc. but anytime they can fire off a hot take at his expense because he puts as much effort into his responses as they do the questions they ask and they get offended. Want good answers? Ask good questions. Pretty simple, and if people don't like MOS because he doesn't cowtow to that BS then so be it.

Sard reacted to blue_gold_84 in What would it take to fire a coordinator?
No offense but this is terribly ignorant comment. To suggest the team played badly the entire game save 1:40 is flat out untrue and then to bring up Wiecek's dumpster article to justify your claim O'Shea is easy to hate and has a bad attitude is utterly embarrassing on your part.
Get a clue.

Sard reacted to Mr Dee in What would it take to fire a coordinator?
You're wrong, plain and simple. O'Shea, in no way, has ANY resentment or bad attitude towards the FANS.
As to the media, as far as I'm concerned, they get out of O'Shea what they put into O'Shea. He respects hard work and due diligence. If some in the media don't show any aspect of that, how can you expect O'Shea not to have an attitude towards them?

And Wild. And Johnson.
I still can't believe this is a thread. It isn't like the team is 0-4 or has been blown out yet (maybe that second half vs. the Stampeders but that's a stretch). They lost a close one on Friday and should hopefully learn from the mistakes made.
The sky isn't falling.

I think there were 2 plays where his helmet came off... once during the play and another time where he took it off by himself, so I think you're both right.

Sard reacted to Mark F in Game day thread: Montreal here
What a complete A - *ol* this guy is on this play. Suspension is in order for that. And friggin Bowman whining.
Montreal has a fairly long history of this kind of crap. Chip Cox had one or two horsecollars in just this game. He horsecollars regularly. I really hate this kind of stuff.
I don't understand how guys like this pull this off, and don't get killed on some other play.

I noticed that Alexander whiffed on a few tackles last night... felt like he had a rough game, but he did redeem himself a bit by recovering the onside kick.

We have been one of the best teams against the run (if not the best) so far this season, so not sure that this is a true concern on our D... I think you're stuck on the fact that we were terrible against the run in seasons past.

Sard got a reaction from Arnold_Palmer in Lost in it all
If you're going to talk stats, it's not valid to cherry pick and omit certain plays... if you are, you're just trying to fit it into a predetermined narrative.
