hey guys - we got out of West Kelowna last night after spending the day packing up our vehicles with stuff and as of right now have no idea if our house is still standing.  Meanwhile now half of Kelowna is also on fire.  We were able to find a place to stay in Vernon but if the fires get this far north our next stop in Calgary.  Right now I feel like I am in the movie Twister or something.  Anyway, good to have a Bomber game to distract me, as there literally is nothing we can do but wait this out and see what happens.

Curious if there will be another weather delayed game tonight if it's a thunderstorm.

That is not the mindset  of fanatics. EVERYONE and EVERYTHING that is against them is interpreted by them as proof of an overwhelmingly powerful but secretive cabal that only an anointed few can recognize.

Uttering threats to some random person is one thing... Uttering threats to interfere with or influence a court proceeding is on a whole other level.  As you say, if it is provable in court (which is pretty easy with the trail of evidence that is out there), then they should definitely be going to jail.  One would hope that it would discourage others from doing the same.

Anyone who threatens a Judge, Jury or Lawyers and those threats are proven in court so find themselves in jail, threats are not free speech and it's about people find this out.

Anybody seen the PC bus bench ads attacking Wab and saying crime will be worse under him? The candidate they have featured on them has tweeted in the past that BLM is a terrorist organization, Blue Lives Matter, that systemic racism doesn't exist within the police and has said that those who want to defund the police should not have access to 911 services.
Wab gave a good speech today about how his past helped shape him into who he is today.
Honestly, I'm tired of people bringing up Wab's past. Would not happen nearly as much if he was white. My proof, Scott Moe is Premier of Saskatchewan, how often do you hear about the fact he killed a woman because he was driving recklessly?

Apparently the smoke we are getting now is from fires in Northern Manitoba and North West Territories.

Restaurant owners are always trying to steal from their employees. Stealing tips, paying them lower wages because it's the customer's "job" to pay living wages, etc, etc, etc. Meanwhile, they cheat on taxes and lie to staff.

When my wife worked at Subway, I percentage of the tips went to the restaurant owner. Seemed pretty shady to me and I'm pretty sure the customers did not realize that was the practice when they were giving the tip.

The whole world needs a heavy dose of mind your own F###ing business. Who am I to tell someone else who they should love or be are attracted to. Or how they feel about who they really are .( gender wise ) .It's got nothing to do with me. Neither does what someone's choice about carrying a fetus to term. Or for that matter what books are in a library. If I find them offensive, I won't read them or let my children read them. Like I said, the whole world would be better off if we took a pill ( figuratively) and minded our own business.

Trust me, prices for booze in the private stores in AB are no different than in the LC back home.

First off, identifying as a cat has nothing to do with gender, so playing along with that is dumb.  Second, I don't know that I believe that's actually a thing... it wouldn't surprise me if that was something that someone came up with as the "big scary extreme" to scare people into not accepting true gender diversity at all because they just don't want to.

I was in Moosejaw a couple weeks ago. Private liquor all over, good for competitive pricing and consumer choice I'm told... the selection sucked and the cost of beer was ridiculous. $38 for a 15 case of Original 16, brewed and canned right there in Saskatchewan, when that same case sells publicly for $26 a province over in Manitoba. Help me figure that one out.

I have a family member that went full transition female to male. They are way happier now as a straight male than a gay woman. It took me a long time to look at them and not see who they used to be, but I get it now, this is actually who they were all along and are way better off now than they were before. It may have even saved their life. They were born in the late 70s, this isn't some kid raised by the internet, its someone that had the same 80s/90s analog upbringing as many of us here. They didn't have to be taught to think or feel this way, it's just how it was and I believe them

That being said, nobody actually identifies as a cat, outside of Maureen Ponderosa or a few pronoun-bedazzled Tik-Tokers that crave to be unique and different from all the other unique and different Tik-Tokers. Transitioning isn't going away but Xim/Xer's and the pronoun laden cat people are a fad that will be pretty cringey in retrospect. It's like people who used to say they 1000 year old were vampires on my space. Where are they now? 2 kids and a white collar job. They grew up and got on with their lives.

So I'd like to assume that once Jones is fired that no other team in the CFL would hire the guy ever again?

Cui was handed the mess and wasn't given the opportunity to even try to fix it.  He started the season with some good marketing to get people in the seats, but there's only so much you can do from a marketing perspective when the team is so bad that fans are wearing paper bags on their heads.
If he had hired Jones, then 100% I would agree with you, but the fact that the board signed that contract before hiring Cui, I can't blame him for anything that is wrong with the team right now.  Agreed with others that I felt that he was like Doman in BC.
Was he good at his job?  Who knows, maybe he was, maybe he wasn't, but we'll never know because the team on the field is so bad that nobody can market it and create a good game day experience successfully.
