Kudos to Weston Dressler for using the field goal post to legally set a pick on his defender whilst running his (eventual) touchdown route in OT.

I think they got Ellinson’s catch right but they did screw that one spot up because Sinopoli had the ball facing back but the spot was where his back went out. They also missed the Ottawa consecutive offsides on Tydall’s 2 big stops.

I thought Adams was pretty sharp tonight. He finally made some catches under duress.

Some people are so committed to their biases they can't see what really happened. Lapo called a pretty good game, the D started rough but got a lot better and Ottawa made plays at the end to get to OT, but they needed 3 downs to do a lot of what they did. In the end the Bombers won a game they deserved to win and we all avoided a heart attack.

Bombers deserved that win. Frustrating that the D played so well that game and gave up e lead.  The key play was Fogg slipping while covering JFG.  He makes that stop and the Bombers win in regulation.  Regardless I'll take the win.

Huge back to back road wins against +.500 teams.  First two wins of the season for the Bombers vs +.500 teams.

Yes, on that I believe you are correct.  I was merely commenting on how they are supposed to call the challenge. That said, the CFL officiating has been wildly inconsistent on this issue and have never gone by their own rules: namely, the standard for a overruling of the call on the field is  irrefutable, definitive  evidence.

Well, penalty aided or not, that was a big-time response by the Winnipeg offense.

Could you imagine what Dickenson could do with him? Or Trestman even though he doesn't fit his offense. he'd still make him a better qb.

How coaches refuse to pull starters is really a head scratcher. In 2007 Berry had plenty of opportunity to give Dinwiddie some hard reps but he left Glenn in. That came back to bite the Bombers when the were forced to start their inexperienced #2 and he made an inexperienced move that cost the Bombers a cup. Right now there are at least three teams that need to give their #2’s reps. Winnipeg isn’t one BUT you do it when you can because if you aren’t giving your backups the reps they need when their mistakes can’t hurt you then your chances of them hurting you when it really counts only goes up.

I really think he has the potential to do well here (in the CFL) he just needs a whole lot of help which he just doesn’t have there.

There's such a thing as appropriately confident and self-assured, and then there's just flat-out delusional. Our coach is a nice guy who is the latter. While I don't share J5V's vociferousness about him (that I felt for Mike Kelly or even the hapless Burke), I certainly find it curious how many folks are seemingly eager to defend this paragon of mediocrity. I mean, **** guys, the man is 3 games below .500 over a 5 year career with not a single playoff victory under his belt. Is that good enough for y'all?

BellMTS Place was largely private sector driven.  They did get some taxpayer support but as I recall, Premier Doer had a presser to announce their investment had been recuped in new taxes much earlier than intended.  For something like an NHL arena, it makes sense for public investment.
I tend to agree.  I like responsible use of taxes but its not like IGF was *that* expensive.  As the stakeholder responsible for Canad Inns Stadium, the province was always going to write a big cheque.  To either renovate CIS to "really crappy but not outwardly life threatening" standards or build a new one.  IGF was a much better use of funds.  Not only way better than renovating CIS, but you get something that serves the U of M as well.
The issue with IGF that makes it different than the arena is the lack of events and the lack of area development.  And those two things are connected.  With the area, you have 15,000+ people downtown 40+ times a year just for the NHL, not to mention the plethora of other events.  And we see the investment in downtown happening.
With IGF, it's 10 football games and a couple of concerts, so its not a driver of development.  But it was still necessary.  So we could have built a cheaper, smaller less fine building that would still have cost a lot of money.  Instead we have a wonderful building that will last a long long time (construction issues notwithstanding).
There is no private owner per se so the argument that the Bombers should pay just doesnt work.  The province gets a little piece of the action in terms of taxes and will, eventually get their piece of the pie (along with the city) in terms of taxes from the old site as well.
I think the community is responsible for the Bombers and building and thus, it has to be paid for.  Its a drop in the bucket over the life of the Stadium.

He's not wrong. Remember how people were asking for the the head of Marcel B or  Berry? They had similar head coaching records. MOS has a middling record and hasn't even managed to win a playoff game. Yet people seem to think that this team is somehow better than their record and can win out. What makes people think that? What makes you think that MOS has earned to continue his middling ways?
