HH - The Bombers coaching staff, for instilling a team-first selfless mentality throughout the team. The Bombers had 35 yards of penalties the entire game:
Penalties:
Offsides - Trent Corney (5 yards)
No yards - Jesse Briggs (5 yards)
No yards - Robert Porter (15 yards)
Holding - Patrick Neufeld (10 yards)That's a darn clean football game.

Time for a Kevin Glenn patent-pending pick 6...

Pretty sure you'll never see him in Blue and Gold ever again, at least I hope not.
Hey, he could still attend our fine stadium as a fan.

For anyone else who wants a bit of background on Hill (per wikipedia, I'm lazy);
Hill signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League in May of 1988, where he became a dominant player. He was the team's starting cornerback for 5 seasons and was part of two Grey Cups championships. He received CFL All-Star honors in 1989 and 1990.
He retired at the end of the 1992 season, with team records for most career interceptions (47), most interceptions in one game (5) and career blocked punts (8). In 1996, he was inducted into the Winnipeg Football Club Hall of Fame.

I know the old mantra is that defense wins championships, but I would argue with all of the recent rule changes to the game benefiting the offense, the CFL is becoming more and more a scoring league. That's not to say that it wasn't a scoring league before, just that in 2017 a team with our offensive talent has a much better chance of making some noise in the playoffs than they would have a few years ago than say, the 2011 Hamilton Ti-cats. Also, as much as our D has been criticized, they're still generating turnovers (particularly interceptions) so I don't think they're as bad as everyone makes them out to be.

I despise both of these teams, I hope for a 0-0 tie with Mitchell and Glenn suffering career ending injuries.

Anyone able to get a radio stream of this game? TSN 1050 (Toronto) is playing the Leafs preseason game, and TSN 690 (Montreal) is playing Montreal Impact soccer.
No wonder these franchises struggle to build/maintain a fan base...

The Conservatives know how to spin their financial statements, by setting up a provision for the loss now, its a political win-win for them. They get to blame the NDP for the current loss provision whilst its still fresh in the minds of the public. If they do get an anchor tenant in subsequent years, they can then reverse some of the loss, resulting in a lower deficit for them (look what we did!). If things really get rosy, they'll be able to get an anchor tenant in the election year budget, thus further reducing their deficit for that year. A savvy individual would realize this as an "other item" on the income statement - but the general public will likely just be told the overall deficit (or surplus) for the year, in comparison with the deficits run by the NDP.

Bombers cheated though... you need internet access in order to vote.
Is a math skill testing question involved as well? That would also dilute the amount of Rider faithful eligible to vote.

Personally I despise the "first down" chant. I find it very stupid, when our team is on offense, a polite applause on achieving a first down is appropriate. The forced announcement amps up the crowd exactly when they don't need to be loud. When we're on offense - our crowd is supposed to be quiet. Nothing is more frustrating than hearing fans celebrating/going crazy whilst our offensive linemen are giving the universal "shut up we're trying to call plays" signal.

Agree with your 3 stars.
HH - For me, the fans on the away side for being absolute menaces to the Redblacks. Their players were too busy mouthing off to the Blue faithful to realize they were getting their butts handed to them by the Bombers.

I wasn't wild about listening to Beth Mowins, but I'd still trade her for Rod Black.
I don't know about anyone else, but I just watch the game on mute while streaming CJOB for Irving / Brown. Sure the timing is a bit off, but the calls are way better.

So ... who starts for the Redblacks at QB on Friday night?
Well, they'll likely play it pretty close to the chest, we'll probably know if Tate is playing if he travels with the team to Winnipeg. For others that are curious, heading into the game today, their depth chart at QB was:
1. Drew Tate
2. Ryan Lindley
3. Danny Collins
The obvious guess would be Lindley if Tate can't go. I doubt they'd airlift in someone if Tate's injury is only temporary (day-to-day), especially on a short week.

Edmonton on a 5-game skid now, yikes.

Basically 5 minutes too late because 1/3 of the upper deck rushes for the bathroom and vendor during the last drive of the half.
I'm just saying, if it was me, I would've done it before the 50/50 draw, or between the 3rd/4th quarter. More people would've been in their seats then. Probably some contracting reason with TSN or something why they couldn't do that though.

And, in a different era, Ricky ray for...was it Stephen Jyles?
Yep, Stephen Jyles, kicker Grant Shaw and a 2012 first round draft pick. Edmonton then traded that first rounder (which was 2nd overall, ended up being Jabar Westerman) to B.C. for the 14th pick (which became Justin Capiccoti) and the 38th pick (which became Ryan King).
Toronto was later charged with blackmail and extortion.

For Hamilton to get back into it in the East, they're going to need help in a few places.
If I'm Hamilton, I risking it and trading Collaros for talent and a draft pick. You take the chance you can keep Masoli healthy.
If the Riders come with a good offer, you take it. When the offseason comes around, teams might not offer you as much when they're sober and thinking rationally.
It's the Riders we're talking about here, I don't think that's ever the case. As for Hamilton, they still have 2 games against Montreal, so they could win the season series there. They also still play Toronto and Ottawa once more each and right now the Ottawa/Hamilton series is split 1-1. The wheels haven't come off for them just yet, but they'd certainly need to start stringing some wins together. Does anyone know how many years are left on Collaros' contract? I agree trading him away if he's gone in December, but I'd be hanging on to him otherwise. I've seen too many Bomber seasons go down the drain because we had a backup that had a pulse and nothing else.
-
I think people are forgetting that Hamilton is still in the playoff race by virtue of the weak Eastern division. Right now, they're 4 points out of second place with a game in hand on their entire division. Not saying I think they'll turn it around - just that their coaching staff probably shouldn't write off this year just yet. If Hamilton traded away Collaros and Masoli goes down, who do they turn to?Their current 3rd stringer is Everett Golson.

Blue faithful show green
Just how loud Winnipeg is
With Glenn's patented picksAlso fun fact: Moe Leggett had a pick 6 off of Glenn when he was playing for Montreal last year.

I'm just waiting for Jonesy to announce that they've re-signed Vince Young... they'll double their chances of winning with two former NFLers on their roster.
