  1. I don't remember Hill billy Jim  being much of anything other then a wrestler of that mid-late 80s wrestling era - which of course has a nostalgic resonation with me. But if I had to compare to today's day and age would he be anything more then a Bray Wyatt - someone I feel wouldn't be deserving of much post career accolades at this point.  If I was going off of old nostalgia to induct people there's a bunch of others I'd put in first if they aren't already there like the Junk Yard Dog and Koko B. Ware

  2. I've seen a lot worse movies in general but I just felt The Black Panther was an unnecessary movie to put out at this point, unless the Infinity Wars relies heavily on the tech they have. I've seen the trailers showing everyone running so obviously BP and his peeps are involved again,  but this should have been a movie probably spit out before civil war. Even then I was pretty bored during the movie. Mostly cuz of how they did the fight sequences.  The heavily focused issue about black oppression didn't sit well with me because it's supposed to be sci fi not some diluted sci fact that if only them slaves or kids in the ghetto had vibranium this whole time man kinds craptacular past could have been different.   maybe if they kept the focus on how just Africa was doing with it's poverty, violence and messed up ways while a hidden nuggets been there the whole time capable of changing its fortunes,  ok i can live with that but dropping like the LA riots/Rodney King beating,  and the state of ghettos like Compton (or Oakland as it was mention by Jordan) had me rolling my eyes.  Like ya f u african nation for not helping East LA

  3. just got back from black panther... probably my least favorite marvel movie to date and about on par with what DC spits out these days. I get why black ppl are all excited especially when the only 2 white ppl in the movie are bilbo baggins and gollum, but man.. yeesh.  at first i thought i was watching the live action lion king with that ayyyyyyy yeaaaa africa theme song, the action sequences were way too fast to really follow whats going on, to overly convoluted with too many ppl... but luckily colour coordinated to know who is on what side, even stan lees cameo was lame.  and the cherry to walk away even more disinterested was the post credit scene was pointless, not needed and tied in nothing coming up.

The plus... the previews consisted of Lara Croft, Venom, Ant Man and the Wasp, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, in which the T-rex saves chris pratts ass yet again...  I was like dude you gonna owe that beast like a happy ending one of these movies. Thats 2x now

My days at work surrounded by all females and the only other guy wants to desperately be in a musical.... has me listening to Perfect (by Beyonce and the Ging) 8x a day,  Havanna 7x, So bad at Love 7x..etc and theres no escaping it as 99% off our radio stations play the exact same content.  Hell i hear the same songs sometimes being played on like 106 and 97.  So having said that as soon as everyone goes on break or done for the day and im lingering around out pops my youtube and im blasting tunes thru any random speaker can find.  My play list at the moment is; (i apologize if ive posted any of these before kinda too tired to rummage thru 13 pages of posts lol)

I got more tunes i could post but i dont wanna eat up the whole page/thread.  Lets just say F*** the radio.  If i hear Wolves or Roots or whoever the hell that knock off zepplin band is ...greta van fleet or whatever 1 more time i'mma roadhouse kick a few radios at work and start a rebellion

I find it odd that other forums that I read and with my conversations with co workers and friends that only on here have I read that WW was poop.

FTR best comic book movies are Blade 1 and 2 which are far superior to anything else :D

I liked Blade 1 but once they started going all resident evil with the vamps in the following Blade(s) I lost interest. Blade 3 was all kinds of wrong

I will be  OK with that. At least he's going to the East (unless of course, some West team will trade for him.)

And it's not because that Kyle Walters did not try to re-sign him.

    ...but no announcement yet.

theres a couple tweets about it but I agree better in the east if he was dead set on moving.  I'm hoping the stoppage of FA inquiries this morning was related to waiting on westerman's decision and now that he opted elsewhere that nearly $200K offer is back in play and we can snag a MLB

    I don't think so...Lafrance was cheap..Fenner too I think..Demski was questionable...I doubt a shade over 320k was our max out cash

yeah have to figure Heath, Bond and Hurls salaries cover Demski, Fenner and LaFrance with probably money still in our coffers. Westermans Salary is still probably on the table + JFG's salary and potentially Thomas'. I'm guessing Davis and LeFevour combined covered Durant. Bowman probably takes Denmark's salary plus a little extra but somewhere in there it balances

  8. Pretty sure I was told our Oline was garbage last few years and not a single one of them would be a starter over what the riders had on their line. Was also continuously ridiculed at the fact we had to start 3 imp OL.  Guess I'll start hearing that Bond is Plazoo bound,  the architech of line stability and 3 imp OL is the new trend

It will be interesting to see how Bond does at tackle.  If he's playing OG again i don't really see much difference other than $ between Dennis at OG and Bond,  as Dennis played better once they moved him inside

  9. i thought WW was the best DC movie to date. I think my initial criticisms  were the shield making it too much like CA and the villian but im too lazy to dig thru this thread as its almost nap time lol.  I didn't overly care for Captain America 1 tho i see it as a necessary evil to lead into the infinity wars and introduce the leader of the avengers but I might be biases when it comes to war movies. Perhaps I expect lots of graphic gorey scenes like some of the other non- super hero war movies so when you plug in  a super human it just kinda takes away from both

I can't speak for others, but for myself I have been trying to follow the Jets (as I have in years past) but only seem to catch final scores, the odd interviews on like Jets Lunch or something off 1290 and pretty much word of mouth via posts on here or FB or ppl I talk to. So I'm curious what everyone think was the biggest difference so far this year vs other years? I'm guessing the 14'-15' season with 43-26-13 (99 pts) was our best record since coming back so there seems to be some sort of little miracle happening here to be at 66 pts barely over half way thru the reg season.  So please lets hear what everyone thinks is the main reason or reasons for this and is it sustainable in future seasons.

  11. The only parallel I see with the Chris Williams situation is he potentially wants out of his contract to take a shot in the NFL, which if true makes me think these scenarios only occur when said team gets a contract in a drawer first. Perhaps something Wilder wont do because the amount the argos may be offering upon his return is not enough to satisfy him so they put the spotlight on his current contract as the issue but I don't think it really is.  He gets a raise and then what? skips out on the NFL opportunity(ies) because he's getting an extra 30K?

Sounds like Popp isn't totally buying the NFL angle either saying if they have been in contact with Wilder it's in violation of the CFL/NFL agreement as he's under contract.  I try to feel for a player getting paid decent money to play a game for a few months out of the year but I don't overly, especially when they put their name on a contract.

I actually asked Darren Cameron about this on Twitter last week....says lots of planning is being done. I'm excited for it. Flying home  on the Thursday night, and hoping to take in events on the Sat/Sun. Should be a time!

I almost forgot about it TBH. seems like everyone was all jazzed about it last year and the event went well, but since they announced we would have it this year there's been very little press on it. I'm excited for it as well. I usually try to take in a couple rookie/TC practices but I think this just offers so much more.  Will definitely be booking some time off for this

  13. I very much dislike shows like this because these legends are all usually unable to wrestle anymore. Even the stone cold  segment with Vince was awkward and drawn out.   The Gms coming out and waving was dumb too... all it was missing was a laptop.

Im tempted to get the WWE network tho for the 30 day free trial for RR , is it like netflix that I download or sign up to on my laptop and run via hdmi to my tv oir do I need to go through my service provider (Bell)?
