it wasn't knee jerk when suitor called him out on tv, and it wasn't knee jerk when i said in chat it was a brutal call. we were jsut fine getting 3rd and 1 before in the game, and in the cfl they have to line up a yard away from you. qb sneak, get the 1st, run clock, maybe get 6. even if u dont get 6 you run clock and force durant to make throws. was our d brutal? yep im pretty sure i nominated them as a place to blame. but in the end oshea made a cowardly call. O'Shea is the best thing to happen to the Bombers in years. Excellent young coach.

Apparently the CFL, in all its infinite wisdom, has gone away from crews. The various officials are changed from one crew to another game by game. This doesn't help what was already a lacklustre group.

Relax. It was an excellent game that could have gone either way. The referees were bad but they definitely blew calls both ways.

Desjardins does seem keen on spending a lot of money to attract a top-notch receiver but playing for a terrible REDBLACKS team won't be attractive. Some players will always take the highest offer so I guess it remains to be seen if Matthews is that kind of guy.

Vega must be banged up a bit as he's typically a pretty solid player.

Messam is playing today. I was at Riders practice yesterday and I expect him to have a big role today. Bit of a strange move inserting Messam over Allen. I hope it backfires on them. To clarify a bit. McHenry is out for the season so Messam is dressing as a full back. Both Allen and Ford are expected to see touches at the Tailback position. All three are dressing. Ok got yea. Messam not that great of a blocker, need to expose that. The reality is Messam won't likely line up at fullback all that often anyways. Despite his size his blocking is surprisingly poor. Sheets was a way better blocker for sure.

There's been a influx of Bomber fans at Riderfans but it's a good thing. Happy to see the Bombers back in the west and re-invigorated because close games and "hated" rivals are what make football fun. Cheers and have a great Labour Day (but not too great).

BC contained Chick quite well during their game. They obviously focused on him a lot. You have to know where he is at all times. Chick didn't get any sacks but had tonnes of hurries and tackled Harris for a massive loss in the backfield. Also, the attention paid to shutting him down meant a better day for the other guys on the D-Line.

The truly scary part is I was at the LDC the last time the Bombers won.

Messam is playing. He is listed on the depth chart as a Fullback for this game.

Williams may be back in Hamilton depending on his options but it won't be for a little while.

It's too bad really. He is a talented guy and, believe it or not, a pretty personable and likeable guy of the field. He is wired a bit differently and has forever had trouble fitting in long with any given team. If he can be kept under wraps he is still a really solid player with a love of playing.

I hear Marcel Desjardins has 250K or so in his budget.

There was a lot of hand-wringing and caterwauling after Kerry Joseph was traded. Come to think of it, Rider fans complain about a lot of things. Not sure what you are talking about. If you are still on about the bulletin boards how do these ones differ from the Bomber boards in 2011? Curious is all.
