  1. Way more than that if what iso said about Glenn Suitor is true. Desjardins was reportedly offering $250k, not pro-rated for this season. Not factoring any signing bonus, thats upwards of $27k/game for 9 games. According to Madani, Riders final offer was $200k ($190k salary, $10k bonus) pro-rated, meaning for 9 games, half a season thats $95k + the $10k bonus =$105k, or $11.6k/game for 9 games. Less than half. At least this is how I am understanding it. How can this be? Everybody is about the money and nobody wants to be in Regina?
  2. Good luck with that. The Roughriders this year have a mean and nasty defence and absolutely savage offensive line. Should the Riders stay healthy they have a very good chance at repeating as champs. If not, they will still be in the mix.
  3. I think it will take O'Shea 3-4 more losses until he sees the need for improvement on the D-line, right now he's delusional. D-Line is not a major concern for the Bombers from where I'm sitting. O-line and National depth would be more pressing issues. Well no **** but I don't see any of those types available. DL hasn't been good enough lately. They have struggled to generate pressure in the last few games from the defensive line and that is a problem. Can't be blitzing every down, need to be able to get pressure from your 4 up front and the Bombers have had issues with that, especially with Vega limping around. It's not the biggest issue, but it is something they could use an improvement on and Hall is a guy who is available.I hear you. Sometimes you have to take what is available and work on more pressing needs later. I disagree with this approach as the Bombers, imo, won't win the Grey Cup this year so why not make sure money and draft picks are in place to fix the areas I mentioned? Fix the o-line with a free agent or a key draft pick or two and have a run at the Grey Cup in 2016 (or 2015 if things going really well). It's the cfl. Any team can win the grey cup. This is true sometimes. Most years there are about 3 teams with real chances at winning but the odd time an underdog can come around and win.
  4. What's Kelsey's? a Saskatchewan fine dining experience Living in Calgary you would know all about mediocre dining experiences. IMHO of course. I've only been out here for a couple of years, but I'm still searching for a really mediocre greasy breakfast joint. All the places close to me are the type of restaurants that charge $12 for eggs and have huge lineups I'm sure there are some decent places out there but I'm not super-familiar with Calgary. Winnipeg for sure has some great breakfast spots for sure. In Corner Brook wear I live know? I opt for seafood.

  6. It's good for him. It's bad for the rest of us now b/c now, assuming he doesn't play, we'll have to see 10k closeups of him on the Rider sidelines during the game this weekend. Isn't that exactly what happened when Fantuz came back a few years ago? He was on the sidelines for the Labor Day game the day after he signed. Yup, but this time Dressler will be in the line up and I hope someone takes an unreal wicked run at him...just absolutely tee off and lay the wood to this guy. Wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit to see him get Woodcock-ed... What's this about? Do you have anger control issues or just generally wish physical harm on anybody who doesn't play for your team? Generally speaking I want to see all the best players playing so there are no excuses when my team kicks another team's a$$ but I guess that's just me. And maybe you don't remember, but getting the Woodcock treatment is not dirty play either, that was just a safety coming downhill and making the hit. I want my defensive players to tee off on anyone on the other team legally. Send a message. Totally agree with hard and legal hits. I just (perhaps falsely) interpreted taking a "wicked run" as a dirty cheap shot.
  7. Unfortunately no. There is one in Saskatoon and one in Regina. Here in Newfoundland they have one in St. John's as well.

  11. What's Kelsey's? Pre-packaged crap restaurant. Extremely mediocre food.
  12. Are you sure? I thought HAM still owned his rights. Hamilton absolutely owns his rights. They drafted him after all.
  13. Come on now. This isn't about insecurity it is about marketing and creating a buzz pure and simple. The way you guys are talking about the billboard here shows that it is an excellent strategy. You don't need to market Bombers vs. Riders Labour Day/Banjo Bowl back to back, if Rider fans take off their green coloured glasses they might see that Bomber fans actually support their team even if it's a shitty team, it's the two strongest fanbases in the league (Bombers #1 obviously) and it's not about marketing when you put a billboard up in Winnipeg, it's about being a bunch of insufferable *****. Marketing is more then just selling out a game. Creating these over the top rivalries are what make sports super fun and interesting. Relax, enjoy the game and be happy that this is the best Bomber team going into a LDC since 2011. Cheers.
  14. Duron Carter, as talented as he is, doesn't have a great team attitude. How do you know he doesn't have a great team attitude? As a college player he was kicked out not one but two programs.
  15. For sure. There isn't a team in the CFL that wouldn't sign a quality National like Gaydosh.
  16. The Gordon situation is not the same as Brazill. Gordon is under contract and there is no way that the Brown's would risk a 23 year old super star receiver to injury by allowing him to play in the CFL. Also, the CFL doesn't allow players who are suspended and under contract in the NFL to play here. Although Brazill is suspended he is a UFA so he can play in the CFL
  17. Given their National depth on the interior of their D-Line I doubt he starts in Hamilton.
  18. Duron Carter, as talented as he is, doesn't have a great team attitude. Duron Carter will be in the NFL next season. I wouldn't give up much (if anything) for 7-8 games. Maybe if he was going to win a team a Grey Cup but any performance short of that wouldn't be worth the price.
  19. It would make the Bomber D-Line better for sure. I think the Bombers need to focus more on improving their O-Line and overall National Depth (like every other team after the REDBLACK pillaging).
  20. What a ridiculous person Gene Simmons is at times. Depression and mental health issues are real and shouldn't be so easily dismissed. Horrible role model this guy is.
  21. He's an interesting guy for sure but I don't think he'll amount to much of an NFL quarterback.
  22. They could easily support a second team in the Toronto area. There are people who can't get into see the Leafs who would gladly go to watch another team in the area.
  23. Duron Carter, as talented as he is, doesn't have a great team attitude.
  24. The Als, like pretty much every team in the CFL, need National depth. SJ would likely only be moved for a solid National player and/or multiple draft picks. Popp doesn't give away his assets (rumour was he wanted Sam Hurl and a draft pick from the Riders; too steep a price imo).
