  1. I like this jersey better then the BC jersey. This fits into the TiCat colour scheme a lot better then some of the other jerseys we have seen so far.
  2. Because he isn't under contract the whole "suspension" agreement likely doesn't apply. We don't know the letter of the law so this must be the case. Or is it because the rules don't apply to teams owned by David Braley? Doubt it. People can't make it up as they go along so it must be only players currently under contract.

  4. Come on now. This isn't about insecurity it is about marketing and creating a buzz pure and simple. The way you guys are talking about the billboard here shows that it is an excellent strategy.
  5. This is excellent for the CFL. Rivalries and good natured ribbing are what make football fun. The Riders riling up opposition fan-bases is good for the CFL and it's bottom line imo.
  6. He was at practice and took a few snaps. Durant is tough as nails and I'm pretty sure he'll be starting in the LDC.
  7. Hall fits in any defence, he's that good. The thing is that signing expensive free-agents will cost you depth at other positions so it has to be determined if he is worth the cost. For me, QB, o-line and National Depth are how championship teams are built.
  8. He's a solid receiver when healthy. Sometimes guys just have a bit of bad luck with injuries and then they get healthy for the long term.
  9. This year in the CFL has been the year of the defence. Offences need to be more responsible, not turn the ball over and practice some ball control offence through running games. "Gun-Slinging", while enjoyable to watch, is rarely successful in the modern era.
  10. Welcome, but we reserve the right to mock you (and Saskatchewan) at every opportunity. LOL The "mocking" will be mutual (but respectful).
  11. LOL Lawless = clueless clown mr. obvious over here... Captain Obvious?
  12. Wild was solid but so was Kromah. Kuale is a lot nastier and more physical but I think it's a mistake to sit Kromah who imo is much more physically capable of stopping the run.
  13. I hope soIf the Riders go on a running rampage with Messam at the end of the game again, Putting Kromah and Wild/Kuale in at the same time should do the trick. And please Keep Turner and Anderson in at DT. Thomas gets pushed around way to much in the run Game, Particularly against Saskatchewan's crazy good OL Is Messam playing this week? He was out last week with a shoulder injury. Possibly. He was at practice on Wednesday.
  14. They were. That rule was implemented after Ricky Williams signed with the Argos. Didn't hear of any changes to it. @caplannfl: Former #Colts WR Lavon Brazill signed with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL. I edited my original post after seeing the Argos had tweeted the signing. Maybe they are able to sign him because he was waived through the NFL? This seems to be the most likely explanation.
  15. That is interesting. So is he going to try the NFL again next year or go the CFL FA route come February. Nah, he's done with the NFL.
  16. Heck no...SJ is great for the highlight catches, but not so great on many others. A National for an International is rarely a smart trade. SJ is excellent but does have the drops from time to time.
  17. Dressler re-signs with the Riders? You don't say? Apparently money doesn't speak everybody's language.
  18. Hard to say for sure. His girlfriend is from Regina so if they are back in Canada I'm sure she wants to be there. Also, the Riders are where he started, who has familiarity and friends with and where he has a tonne of connections already. He definitely won't want to get ripped off but who can blame him?
  19. Who is claiming to be better? The reality is that former Riders in Saskatchewan are treated to an especially high standard of living. That doesn't mean that Rider fans are superior just more obsessed (overall) with their team.
  20. Maybe. Too high of contract makes you expendable. If you are getting 250K per season and not performing you are impossible to trade and usually just released. Also off-field money making ventures need to be kept in mind. Weston has worked in Regina during the off-season for years and he could set himself up for a post-football career there quite nicely. A guy like Matt Dominguez wasn't able to play for long and he is still making an excellent living in and around Regina. To me, the upfront money from Ottawa would have to be ridiculously higher then Saskatchewan for him to sign there as he has just too many other reasons to stick with the Riders.
  21. Disagree.... If you listen to some of the denizens, on RF.....their current winning streak (including the one against us)....is one for the ages... It's not like the Riders are the defending Grey Cup Champions or anything.
  22. At that point in the game? Not likely. However, some coaches are loathe to give anything up.
