I'm interested to see how we line up and run edge plays and misdirection counters on a 65-wide field this year with a new OC who is steeped in the CFL ground game. Thinking we are going to see some new wrinkles on the ground and not just in Q4. I am trying to imagine how you defend against Oliveira, Streveler, Chris-Ike, and Peyton Logan (once healthy) in the backfield all at once.

Wonder if it's a 2-way player/coach deal? No sign of Jarious Jackson this season - so, you never know, might be an opening for QB coach next year.

Don't have a good feeling about this, probably should have been here 3 weeks ago for rookie camp. They might have to find someone else quick and go another route.

Was gonna say...get him doing kick off returns and learning punts...be a huge get for roster if could secure that job and free up a DA spots Really...they should give Strev 1.5 quarters to start...if not the half...Wilson the 3rd...ZC the last...best to see what the back ups do against more starters...and with the starters...we know what ZC can do...and for second game much same..maybe 1 quarter for Strev and Wilson and 2nd half for ZC to keep rust away He looks legit...has pocket awareness.. Will stand in to let stuff develop...has best arm...

I am very optimistic about Wilson. He does a lot really well. Hope we use the reps better this pre season.

These are Wilson's passing numbers from preseason #1 last year against the Riders, his first CFL game. 10/15 115yds 1TD 0 INT 7.7 avg 34 long These are Strev's passing numbers for the same game. 7/8 65yds 0 TD 0 INT 8.1 avg 20 long Interesting to note, Zach played the entire preseason #2 last year, no other QB got a look. If today is his day, I hope he limits his reps to one half.

Well the 2019 team was 3-5 with Streveler starting and 4-0 with Collaros starting. So he had some impact. D wasn't getting it done by themselves, they got smacked around pretty bad in majority of games after Nichols went down. Probably don't get to any of the post-19 Grey Cups if you don't host the West Final. Matt Nichols never hosted a West Final. Buck Pierce, Kevin Glenn and Khari Jones hosted 1 East Final each. Collaros has hosted 4. Good to have some perspective. The only comparison that will matter in the end is Dru Brown from 2024 on vs Collaros from 2024 on.

That would be huge. I like his build and tangibles. We should take him and groom him for utility. He’s got decent pass catching, work with him on blocking and see if he can be a back up return guy.

Yup...get those young guys in now..and get them as contributors early and often..key for our roster and depth and ability to have some nice positional options with our DA's I actually excited to in seeing what Peterson does with the rock. I think a lot of people underestimate what he can actually do..I bet he impressis today...

Vaval, Makonzo, Kelly, smith, Shay, and even Novak. Now is the time to go young and Canadian in the back 2/3 of the D for depth. Walters n co have done a tremendous job reloading our Canadian depth. yeah, keep hoping he will show up. Doesn’t look good imo at this point. That’s pretty much the situation we are in. We might not use a di on a kr though, in that case I think we would still use one on a wr any way. I think we use a di on a lber if we don’t cut 2 of Ayers, kyrie, and the joenses. If we do cut 2, I think we di a db.

So 1 DI for Sergio 1 for a returner Will it be 1 for an LB and 1 for the DL? 1 DL and 1 DB?

Yeah I can't see us burning a DA on a linebacker ...especially if Makonzo becomes healthy too...but who are they gonna be...I know osh likes to favor vets and guys who been here but J.Jones and Ayers if they make the case for Mac and Will..does Osh have the onions to park Wilson and T.Jones on the PR..Injured or even cut? J.Jones is a way more complete player than T.Jones so interesting to see who gets that spot...I hope it's an earned position and not a gifted one

Yeah, we really don’t need to burn a di at lber. We might not need one at db either. We should 100% be using one at dl. I’d consider two if Lawson isn’t good to go and we use more 40 sets. I’ll be interested to see if Shay and or smith can fill more of the nickle wil stuff. Especially Shay.

Webb may be sleeper as well to pop onto the roster...I forgot we picked him up

I think the global will be rostered as well to come off edge..and elsewhere but I like your idea.. Yeah..Adams versatility is huge..plus for a big guy he is quick as a cat and can't see why both don't stick..we rostered both at times last yr..and with Shay and Smith...good chance we dont DA and import LB so that is helpful That is the plan and he wasn't gonna sign here if all he was gonna be allowed to do is the same crap Buck put him thru And when he got zero reps in practice as a QB...and wirh the number 1's...well that didnt help his cause when he did get put in...and he still gutted out and willed a win for us

Hopefully we have an OC that will use 17 as a QB and not a gimmick. Also excited to see how Wilson develops in year 2.

I think that’s a good probability. Woods is far a head at dt, adams should fight with person. Nice thing about adams is he can play most techniques. I’d be happy with either and hope both stick.

I would like 4 ends and 3 tackles: WJ, Vaughters, Person, Bailey with Adams/Woods and any 2 of the Canadians.

Agreed....our qb play was not a reason we won the cups ....didnt hurt us....but wasnt the key reason....even last 2 yrs....sure ZC put some numbers up....but defence again...was theengine that drove us....that and BO And in college.....and seemed to make the throws required in his NFL journey....this is the yr for him to show it....new OC....He has changed his mechanics...his platform for when he gonna throw and his footwork....4 yrs of NFL coaching along with the school he runs has redefined him.....when we practically did all we could to destroy him Heart...guts...attitude and ability to have guys follow him is also key

Unlike a number of previous years......a lot of slots are open. Receiver battle and backup QB will be of interest. Also the dudes expected to go at DE and Cornerback. CFL+

Curious as to who and how we ise the linebackers....I dont think either of T.Jones or Wilson should be secure with being handed starter spots....and wanna see whatrecievers step ip when lights are on...Practice isnt best indicator as to who is the best...we seen that pretty obviously last yr Punter too....I wanna see Evans make a case to punt our punter guy Whats the link for the game btw?
