  1. Past hour
  2. He's always been like that. Stories of him being a shithead in Calgary over a decade. Hufnagel finally got rid of him.
  3. I think if anyone can afford to go on a holiday to a sunny resort anywhere then they should pay for the privelidge. We, the poor Canadians who stay home in the winter, if we want to fly in order to see family in Canada, we pay for it big time. I've never travelled anywhere in the winter. We travel in the summer. Prefer to drive over flying. In 2 years when my wife retires, we're planning a road trip to Halifax. We have family & friends in New Brunswick & Ontario. I've never beem east of Toronto. You're late!! It's mine.
  4. How is it apparent? Until an official announcement comes down the pike, nothing has changed.
  5. How so? How is it clumsy and unprofessional. What does that even mean. His contract has expired. The season is over.
  6. Inflation has hit the States big time over the last few years. It was really expensive for us travelling in Spring where food and lodging was pricier then in Canada.
  7. Friesen was inducted into the media section of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame. He apparently asked no other than Mike (handled internally) Kelly to induct him. There is a video of Mike Kelly's induction speech. Probably not worth the minutes of commercials The Sun will make you watch to see it, but it is the off season. https://winnipegsun.com/sports/video-mike-kelly-introduces-paul-friesen-into-hall-of-fame-2025 In one of Kelly's job interviews after the Bombers, they looked him up online and apparently asked him who Friesen was, as a bunch of his articles came up. Kelly said his response was "someone who did their job better than I did."
  8. Not silly at all, I would think it will certainly make the transition easier for imp rookies. They aren’t the biggest differences, but they are odd for americans. I wonder how big the transition will be for established guys though. No joke. Ufl Ds really struggle not having the cohesion of units that have been together for a time. A lot of the good D in the spring leagues looks like that. Tbh it starts out like that here, but our season is long and we have enough hold overs to get past it. The spring leagues never reach that point imo. Farhan now reporting he’d be shocked if hogan was back as oc for us next year. Day keeps getting better.
  9. Today
  10. Yesterday
  11. Oh, damn- one less mediocre restauant to not patronize. My absolute favourite breakfast place is The Original Pancake House. The giant apple pancake is a good excuse to sleep the rest of the morning, but my 16 year old son ate TWO of them in a single sitting on a dare. We didn't see him again until well after lunch.
  12. Avoiding the US and going elsewhere maybe? Or are US prices bad too?
  13. If I'm looking thru my wife's eyes I'm assuming she sees this when looking at me:
  14. Have yet to see a good explanation. Jamaica getting hit by the hurricane has definitely increased prices but it's still been much higher than normal even prior to that. We book well in advance and have price match guarantees so we're always watching prices. There were some deals to be had a couple months ago but very few these days unless you are happy with going to Cuba.
  15. I'm much smarter if the wife ain't around.
  16. In this video for the last TD.... can the Blue sign the receiver Malik Turner? That juke and speed was real nice! Perkins in that TD run it was hilarious on how bad those defenders froze and watched him... if that is a representation of the talent in the UFL then yikes.
  17. Maybe a silly question but will shortening the field and end zone help american football players adjust easier to our game or is the 65 yard width and three down football etc their biggest adjustments? Sad it was my dad's favorite restaurant.
  18. Um, I hate to spoil your day but Perkins is no more.
  19. I certainly see more running early in his first year as a college starter. 2nd year shifted to a lot more throws. That carried out even more in his last year in the ufl. Some thing to keep in mind as well is that a guy running an offense like that will seem like he’s running a lot more on drop back plays. Because soo much of their passing game was quick hit 1 step or immediate throw, all his none called runs came on the longer pockets. It does look to me like he could improve his throwing on the run tendency.
  20. What is the reason for the high prices this season? My inlaws have said that everything is ridiculously pricey and I assume it cannot be from people avoiding Jamaica and going elsewhere?
  21. Until of course we hear JT is coming back, gets a veterans pass on the 2026 TC and his goal is to surpass his incredible nine tackle 2025 season. Yes thank you for your concern I'm seeing a therapist it's all good.
  22. Maybe he can be both an effective runner and passer! Here's hoping.
  23. It is obvious that Hogan is a goner, but this process seems very....clumsy and unprofessional.
  24. The thing I noticed is that he seems to be a "run first option", and that does not bode well, even in the CFL. Well, we do have restaurants named for him., just like Sean Salisbury.
  25. Its Perkins time! It's got a nice ring to it.
  26. AND wait and see we will...He comes with a pretty good running ability and a fairly decent arm....TC looking up already
  27. Well, Walters did say they want to surround Collaros with more tools. Coaching would be part of that I suppose. I think we still have just about the best OL coach in the league, so hopefully Costello is sticking around.
  28. He has signed a two year extension. He just had an NFL out clause.
