  1. Past hour
  2. Would love to see them work in a 2nd qb more. Seems a waste to park a guy like streveler on the bench until a minute left in an ass whooping game
  3. Here comes my broken record thought, this constant reluctance to employ an actual 2qb system (not just short yardage). I understand the difficulties and the challenges, some big brained football x and o football people here have posted on it but it still not enough for me for the team to work out some schemes in practice fitted for their existing talent and deploy it in a game, change things up try it out for an offensive set. You won’t know what will happen until you try. Being risk averse has its own draw backs as the same as taking chances has its draw backs. Find that sweet spot between the two.
  4. Vaughters has been OK to be honest... he'd look a lot better with some better performances at other positions on the line.
  5. I thought J. Jones was a decently big FA addition... maybe not as a surefire all-star but that one was one I was certain was going to work out. Instead he sits on the one game IR because reasons. Here's another thought I've been having... anyone notice how the only game no one has questioned the OL for was game 1? And also how the game plan was universally praised after game 1 and game 1 only? Coincidence? I honestly think a ton of this teams offensive problems stem from collaros and his inability to adapt and change the way he wants to play. He's talked about how much he hated being in Sask cause they wanted him to play a system he didn't like... he's been total dog **** 3 Grey cups in a row, his performance in the regular season has slipped bigly the last 2 seasons... he's become a sitting duck in the pocket mostly... I dunno, I just think he's holding the team back right now.
  6. Like if Adam Bighill didn’t incur an injury might he still be on the field for us?
  7. Who is the last high end FA brought in (excluding bringing Lawler back from Edmonton). Willie? Bighill? That's not really Walter's style (occasionally wish it was though). Even the guys they do sign, don't always get a chance to see the field (White or Mitchell for example) so it's a bit of a waste.
  8. This idea that Zach is still a top teir qb after one good game is hyperbolic. If it were one bad game no one would be talking about Zach losing it but we're going on 2 years now of the truly good games from zach being few and far between.
  9. Zach was decent against BC, Great against Edmonton and lousy versus Calgary. Its concerning because we saw a lot of this last year.
  10. Ford and Dobson got way more than they should’ve. Ford was better than solid, and still has tons of potential. But at the end of the day a db especially a field corner just isn’t worth top dollar. We sure didn’t make any attempt to add top end talent to our roster or replace both end guys. We got as many cheap lotto ticket type free agents as possible, and they all went bust.
  11. Today
  12. We tossed him away.... It was edm tho...lol....but a 600k QB should be looking more like that every game...then once in a blue moon..and generally against the weak sisters Pretty much...and for 85k we coukda signed him...brutal....Osh prob didn't like him for some reason...so buh bye
  13. Garbutt and fox have been real good...and woukd look even better here But no worries we have Jake..and Korn..Scmeck chomping at the bit..experienced Ayers to help take load off...no sense in retaining upside guys who can play..and know the system Yeah...last night was a nice kick to the plums watching them go off...and then watching Sterns...Vaval...and revisiting last yrs return excellence here...at 85k too....super savvy player management They didnt agree on 2...biggie not here only cause he was injured and not gonna be ready....don't kid yourself And osh always has...and always will have his favs and bias towrd players...its happened his whole time here and not for the betterment of team..but .makes him feel all warm and fuzzy I also think he doesn't have the guts and ability to cut ties with players...a bad trait for sure We are vet laden...sending a.few to the unemployment line won't affect anything...and allows other voices to pick up the slack and become leaders from what they learned here
  14. Hard to believe the Argos could be 1-4 based on the number of DL they dress.
  15. And both cases are piss poor coaching decisions...you make changes to better your team anytime...anyway...and before a slide....and our way of only due to injury has us in the mess we in...and the lack of trust in all these other "all number one" guys we apparently have...which is a huge load of ****
  16. It's so ******* reactionary around here from game to game... And not just OUR games. It's insane.
  17. Exactly, oh no we didnt match 230k for a field side DB who had 1 solid year.....what a cheapskate!!
  18. How quickly we forget about the edm game. Collaros' pass to Wheatfall down the sideline was the best pass from any qb this year. Zach, when given time can absolutely still throw it. He's not what he once was, but this idea he's a broken down version of himself after one bad game is hyperbolic.
  19. The CFL's 15 highest-paid defensive linemen for the 2025 season - 3DownNation Dont think Jake is anyway near $200000 per year, but agree he is not performing anyway near what we need. Vaughters was an overpay though for what he has shown so far this year. Lawler is proving if any receiver is worth $300000 its him, I just dont think we had any sort of room at that price.
  20. I didn't see much that changed from his approach this off-season. He even stated that he's not changing just because we're hosting GC this year. Yeah he let Lawler walk (not the first time) and yeah guys like Dobson (not the first OL to leave) & Ford (also not the first DB to leave) took off but that's the same approach he's always taken - it's not new to this past off-season yet history shows he spends to or past the cap. We won't know about this year until the spring.
  21. I'd love to hear why Jake is still on the team. I know he's the lightning rod and there are a few others who need to go, but he's the poster child to whats wrong with this team. I get culture and it's important but that same culture can go sideways quick when guys who can't perform are given their spots over hungrier more capable players.
  22. Strevs is actually throwing a nicer ball now as well IMO.
  23. Apparently he wanted to be closer to his sister in Florida and wanted to be able to go out in public without being recognized as much. Also he’s from Denmark. Left to play in Halifax as a teen. Then to Winnipeg. He wanted warmer weather. I’d be surprised if he’s not starting the season with Aho and Jarvis on line 1. But at this point. Who cares. He’s a jerk now. Did boeser even get to free agency??
  24. Last season I thought BA Bighill and Kyrie were cooked. Thomas also. They agreed 2 of 4 were. I’m not sure why they play Jake so much, I don’t get it. Dude needs to recognize he’s done tho. I mean Jesus they cut him a few years ago and since bringing him back, have seemingly sucked him off since yet he’s not good. Nobody would pick him up if we released him. Make the decision there. Bridges and Parker are the others on D along with Kyrie who hasn’t been awful and Tony who also hasn’t been awful but he’s lacking. Try Ayers Jones Kramdi. Griffin. Plus 4 Canadians so 8 LB’s instead of double digits. Get some DL and extra O help on the roster. Mitchell is a guy who might mesh well with zach. Sterns is reliable tho so maybe for Schoen if he’s banged up.
  25. Bo can still throw the ball seemingly with very little effort unlike Zach who appears to not be able to throw the deep ball and appears to put all he’s got in those throws. Lawler is gonna hit 2000 yards
  26. He didn' get away. He wanted to come back and the team told him to take a hike.
