  1. Past hour
  2. Are we talking about holdovers from the 2019, 2021, or 2022 Grey Cup If we are talking 2022, that list is missing Hallett, Cadwallader, Gauthier, Benson and Lawson. Further back there is some churn because Castillo was around in 2021 and is back, same as Streveler. So you are looking at almost half the roster that has lost 3 grey cups with the team... and then a couple more guys who have won at least once before that. Looking at the list of guys on my post... that is a lot of life-time special teamers that are really no threat to take any snaps on defense. Maybe there is a lot of opportunity lost there in getting athletic dude who can play teams and then can transition to the defense. If that doesn't happen, cut loose and find the nice athletic guy who could make a difference one day.
  3. So old qb not playing to the level he was... old OL which is crap compared to it's hey day and dl which is crap compared to its hey day.... so yes age is catching up to this team. Used to win by dominating the lines of scrimmage but now they get their asses kicked on the LOS game in game out.
  4. With Kramdi, he can lay a good hit but 151 k if he meets all his bonuses (145k hard money) is too much. Nichols for example is a 3 time all star and he makes less.
  5. My only real issue with Kramdi is his salary and big play making ability. He just doesn't make the big play, like ever. He's solid. But I want a dominate Sam in there, not someone who is just not going to screw up that much.
  6. Collaros and Nichols are struggling vets currently. Demski on fuego. Brady is being underused. Schoen is hurt. Bryant is hurt. Kolo sucks. Neufeld is capable most games. Thomas? Yeah it’s not his fault really. Willie? With less reps he got better, what a concept. Kyrie? He’s been ok. Kramdi? Despite the narrative you can do worse as a starting Canadian. I mean we have 2 on our roster who are worse I dunno. Besides Zach and the vet DBs and Jake who isn’t really struggling, that’s Just Jake, I’m not sure if the vets are that bad really. It’s almost like 1 guy on O and maybe 3 or 4 mainly in the DB field on D that are regularly sucking. The one guy on O tho is the QB so that’s a problem.
  7. Collaros Brady Demski Schoen Bryant Kolo Neufeld (Eli) Thomas Willie Kyrie Kramdi Nichols Holm and Parker. Those are the guys, maybe I’m missing 1 or 2 but those are the guys who been around the longest now. it’s not that many really and 7 are Canadians so really there has been change. Lots of it honestly. Let’s add Gauthier to make it 8 and cadawallader who I’m hoping is Canadian. So 9 or so Canadians and maybe 9 imports. Less than half the squad.
  8. Worst thing to happen was losing 2022 cup by 1 point with collaros being injured. They ran it back one too many times, which of course everyone was all in favour of, but with the benefit of hindsight...
  9. Cancelled due to poor talent quality.
  10. 2022 team would have been a 1-2 loss team overall if they had a reliable kicker.
  11. Today
  12. It's pretty obvious how deployment of our defensive players has changed in the past two years. The change was Younger taking over. It's more DB's, fewer DL. He doesn't use the Canadian/Global/DI depth guys nearly as much. Most plays we have 7 DB's on the field. I'm counting Kramdi and Griffin as DB's. Griffin is basically a starter to me, even if he's not listed first at any position on depth chart. He plays more than Wilson or Adams. Jefferson is an every down player under Younger. Never was under Hall. O'Shea has been the head coach the whole time. The only thing I think O'Shea has done this year is given Miller more choice on guys he wants on for cover teams. In past years they probably would have put a guy like Cobb on over one of the LB/DB types to give the offense more depth. IMO the bigger issue is likely O'Shea not pulling a bit of autonomy from the coordinators when things are going south than the opposite.
  13. Practice ain’t what she used to be either so rather than risking smoke related issues and if the indoor facility is being used, makes sense to cancel it. I mean the game would be either post poned or cancelled in these conditions anyways. It’s a 9 on the air quality index. Regina was a 6 or 7. Higher Is worse.
  14. 100 percent.....I dont think he has total say....and Osh calls plays and uses hi call sheet...which oncludes player package and the such...I dont believe much of what comes out his mouth at times And if Younger truly thinks guys like Korn..Thomas....and others deserve the reps they get...then we need a dew D Coord
  15. when you are still good...thats where u earn your money and know that you need to be looking 2...3 yrs forward...and if at the minimum have guys already working at the transition...being played....using your PR all yr to bring in...ship out guys...and yeah make the hard cuts where people may say...why??...we didnt do any of that and this was a steady build up to where we at now....right on the edge of either making some hard decisions now and righting the ship...or doing what we have been and having a total gutting next yr...and more than likely a few yrs of lost in the woods again....and if no real change at the top...we gonna be lost a while cause don't think we have the goods to coach our way outta it...and by goods i mean coaching ability
  16. Even if they don't win another game. MOS isn't going anywhere. People can ***** and complain all they want, there aren't going to be any coaching/gm changes during the season.
  17. It must be occupied cause they move in there all the time when the weather is horrible.
  18. 2022 they were still a good team, they should have started more transition that offseason though. 2023 they were still a good team but some performance was sliding. Last season still mostly good (D in particular) but some more cracks showing. This season though age has fully caught up to them.
  19. You think O'Shea is lying when he says Younger decides who is on the field on D?
  20. Or really fail to acknowledge that when they got what they wanted in a lot of areas (a younger team, fewer high paid vets) the team is markedly worse. If anyone wants...check the receipts on not re-signing Lawler. Certain people sing with the wind...as experts.
  21. nope unless all hell breaks loose.....and if the whole season tho is just a continuation of the season to date so far....I wouldn't be sold on him be re-upped and serious consideration has to be had not to
  22. they got moved up a week https://tvline.com/news/abc-fall-premiere-date-change-911-nashville-greys-anatomy-1235480214/
  23. I would say O Shea has less then 10% chance at getting canned this season. It's not happening.
  24. Suitor always brought up how both lines would beat up the opposition and by the 4th quarter we wore them down and would be able to run it down their throats. He still brings this up yet this is no longer true.
  25. 2019 and 2021 for sure....well erned tho a bit of luck for 2021....after that.....not so much....and dont even go on about first in west....means not much if you cant finish due to your own inpeptness....and for most part not blaming players....coaching failed them...and is continuing to
  26. You know it wasn't. 2019 and 2021, this was a damn hard team to play against. They physically beat other teams up.
  27. Not a problem. Just wanted to make sure there was someplace that did it. All good on turnaround time.
