  2. I take issue with that! I only had 29 IPAs! Please tell me what I can do better, folks. I’m always trying to improve 🙏🙏🙏
  3. oh all right - sorry - miscommunication - my "Yay" was meant to be sarcastic - we are on the same page.
  4. My two cents... We did not lose because of Thomas We did not lose because of the two points given up on the kickoffs We lost because we gave up 3 explosion plays and took one massive PI penalty.....outside of that our defence while not outstanding did enough...so why do we keep giving up the big plays, correct me if I am wrong but we are worst in the league in this are we not? The Parker to safety experiment didn't work, the Kramdi to safety experiment doesn't seem to be working and Kelly didn't exactly exude confidence back there.......I may be wrong but I feel better safety play and perhaps one less LB and one more DL and our defence "can" be good. However while our defence contributed our offence wears IMO the biggest goat horns.....I didn't find Zach played terrible, no INTs but only ever seemed able to find the checkdown open, once Cal. adjsuted and covered Brady he started taking sacks instead of throwing INT's.....I didn't think the o-line played that bad Zach had a pocket and even on many sacks he had time, or ran out of the pocket into a defender.....Brady ran darn hard...but the offence stunk....why...we know our receivers are not great, but It has to be more than that......I just don't think what Hogan is doing is working, and we don't have the luxury of waiting to see if it will......

  6. DB and I break down a gut-wrenching loss to the Stamps. Also available on all your podcast apps.
  7. Yeah....the Hamilton Bombers are indeed making a difference....Everytime I see Lawler make a circus catch , I have to refer to our sub par receivers and have to give my head a shake in disbelief ...something Walters should have done when he made the decision to let Kenny walk....When Ham comes to town, I just know that Lawler will rub our nose in the fact we dumped him, and looking at the current standings .....well it's there for all to see
  8. We could start by stapling Thomas and Kola to the bench.
  9. 30-40 yards passing in a half will not put you in the win column vs most teams. Neither will squandering a 17 point lead with out answer. we found ways to lose, many of them. Including in the passing game. Zach, and the passing attack was entirely dependant on dropping it off to Brady and hoping he could shoulder all the load of the offense.
  10. Good teams win close games; this team is a shell of its former self. Calgary won playing 2.5 quarters of football.Having to rely on kicking a 63 yard field goal to take the lead rather than having the offense run the clock down is telling.
  11. I am not sure what changes can be made to turn this around. The bombers as you said are deficient is so many critical areas.
  12. The 2 singles aren't a big deal IMO, the complete lack of offense in the 2nd half though.... yeah that's a problem. Also giving away big plays for free on D.
  13. All points count...regardless how insignificant they seem and when given up How many games in the cfl do you see come down to 2 to 5 points a game for win in waning seconds...we don't give away those 2 for better field position and we at worse are in o.t...and to show no faith in your returner to make a big run is pathetic...we parked him on the 10 with instructions that if it was gonna land around him...let it go....sooooo weak and playing not to lose....in our case trying not to lose...no excuse for that decision...and when you ever see that occur in a cfl game...let alone 2x in same game....I'll tell ya....never Well when cut u will never know...other teams put in work and time in their own guys so other teams cuts they for most part have zero intel on them...or zero need as they sliced away their own dead weight and replenished it already Funny thing Ham has prob now what 8..9 guys on their roster contributing...guys we deemed expendable or not worth the cost...and a couple of our former management and scouting guys...about 18 percent of their roster What's their record and how they look compared to us? Rather telling when you look at it
  14. True Dat! I was at the game (only attend a few a year here in Calgary). Bottom Line - Calgary has far more talent than the Bombers do and that IMHO is a fact that will not go away. On both sides of the ball at at just about every position other than RB the Stamps have a better team.
  15. The latter. Caught Calgary sleeping and once they woke up we couldn't compete

  17. Haven’t had a chance to watch the game yet. Are things looking better than after the blow outs against Calgary or is the close score meaningless?
  18. It's the same s*** over and over again... Every f****** week this team gets torched by the long ball. Offense can't move a damn and the defense gets gassed. Zero pressure from our d-line. Adams had all day to throw. Like honestly, how do you watch the film of that game and say "We're still really good." Why the hell did Castillo kick a single with a minute to go? We're exactly like Saskatchewan was when they hosted the grey cup in 2022... All hype no substance. We're going to get absolutely throttled by the gappers.
  19. 🎼 The sun will come out tomorrow you can bet your bottom dollar that… tomorrow O’Shea will do…nothing. 🎶 The fact the O line is not giving Zach 2 extra seconds is a big part of the problem. Couple that with the fact the receivers are not getting open spells disaster for the offence. On the Defence they are playing way too soft. I’d rather take a few more PI calls and punish the receivers then giving up so many big plays. not sure what the answer is but something needs to be done before the season is too far gone.
  20. So was I. Watch for the devastating crackback block on the last rushing TD.......by WR Goodlow!!
  21. A view from the cheap seats at McMahon. Actually the cheap seats turned into pretty good ones at the 40 yard line. (lots of empty seats to move to): A very promising start was followed by a disheartening finish. I didn't see much in the way of adjustments by the Bombers coaching staff. Calgary's staff made enough to win the game. How much rope does Hogan have? Officiating left a lot to be desired. The Bombers were a little undisciplined at times (especially special teams) but I thought the stripes were wearing red. When Demski is the go to guy for long passes, we are in trouble! Mitchell looks smaller than his roster height listing. Even Wheatfall looks like a waif out there. Receivers look tiny and slow. DBs looked tiny and slow beside the Stamps receivers. Wait a minute, they were hardly beside the Stamps receivers. The wind was a factor in the 4th quarter so the Bombers' tall foreheads got that decision right and it almost worked. There's more to be said but it was very discouraging. Third place.....maybe. Is a crossover playoff spot a possibility? I don't think there'll be a home playoff game so there will be revenue missed. Maybe it'll be a wakeup call for Miller and he'll start the ball rolling on making changes.
  22. So what steps can the club take towards fixing this mess/rebuilding? One that comes to mind to me is giving Shay and Smith reps on D to allow them to develop.
  23. The Packers had no passing attack at all. Elgersma didn't get in until the final drive of the game and got the least playing time. 3/4 for 24 yards. He converted a 4th and 5 play with a nice pass but then they just let the clock run out to end the game. Pokey Wilson also only played the final drive of the game for the Jets. He ran a nice route and caught a 13 yard pass on 3rd and 7 for a first down. Honestly a pretty good showing for both players but neither one got much opportunity to play. They clearly started the night at the bottom of the depth chart.
  24. You’re not going to win much with a vanilla OC, a C-level receiving corps, a poor secondary and a D-Line that can’t get anywhere near consistent pressure. Welcome back to 2004 my friends.
  25. I was referring to the turnover on downs, in chip shot field goal range. Kicking an FG there is not a defeatist attitude.
  26. Seemed like STs did okay... D gave up big plays when the chips were down. You dont win many CFL games scoring 4 points in the 2nd half though. Nice to see Vaval with more confidence on his decisions.
