  1. Past hour
  2. Griffin back would be nice... but the team will likely scratch Woodbey to make room for him... one of the few bright spots from our pitiful 24/25 offseason...
  3. Meh, he's banged up again and due for some win regression.
  4. And get absolutely stomped by Davis Alexander in the first game. Meh. I'd be just fine going through the West.
  5. I forget which NFL (?) coach said it emphatically, but "you are what your record says you are", and slice it any way you like, this is a mediocre team.
  6. This could be all immaterial in the east when Ham clinches first with a win playing the hapless Two Colors.... Montreal will be playing their second stringers against us and set the table for the crossover ....most likely against us....IF we can put the Als away we play Ham in the east final ...We would have to put together an A game effort to make the Cup game ... We have already proven we can beat them ...With all the cards on the table who knows....this is the CFL...After a quick summary of this post , I'm most likely dreaming in technicolor, and the pie in the sky take is definitely inundated with crazy ultra Bomber positivity
  7. 0-3 vs Calgary and very nearly 0-3 vs Sask. I'd much rather go through the east.
  8. Today
  9. I think Demski is likely done for the year.
  10. Now IF we could predict the storm ferocity, when those pesky lightning and rain deluges occur mid summer, that can delay the game for hours on end, we'd have something....Mother nature still has the upper hand I'm afraid ....wind, rain and otherwise still very unpredictable

  12. Not true. We have the season series against the Lions so we only have to tie them. Stamps should beat the Elks so that would be a tie for 2nd place possibly on the line. Will the Lions beat the Riders on the road? Riders most likely resting starters again, so it looks like a cakce walk for them. The problem is that they play after we play, so it needs to be full steam ahead and let the chips fall where they may. Laughable
  13. I think Week 9 against Toronto (3 DST TDs), Week 11 vs Ottawa (In the last minute Ottawa returned a TD off a field goal, picked off Collaros but Castillo nailed a game winner with time expried), Week 16 vs Ottawa (3 completion game) and this game were all ... fortunate wins. Losses where they were unlucky not to win,... Week 10 vs Calgary, you'd probably like a LDC/BB split, that 2 pt to Schoen would have just tied it, and the Bombers did absolutely nothing after Collaros got hurt in the Banjo Bowl, Bombers had lots of good chances late Week 19 vs the Elks as well. If all of those go your way, Bombers are sitting on 12 or 13 wins... if they all flipped the wrong way they are near the bottom of the league on 5 wins.
  14. Yea, we really do have a pretty nicely designed stadium for sure.
  15. Also when they play at home, PAS has a sunken bowl design which (theoretically) should help mitigate wind conditions. I've often noticed the flags over the concourse blowing in the wind but the flags on the goal posts are hanging limp so it seems to work, at least to a certain extent.
  16. Bud Grant certainly had a strong point back in the day of weather balloons and getting your weather information based on 24 hour old information through the CBC. Nowadays we have up to the minute forecasting available on the internet. Not the same thing. If the wind is likely to die off during the game, our coaches know it before the coin flip.
  17. yeah I called this
  18. Ha ha, nice to see others here getting that rap other than me.
  19. Ticats will lose. We will dress some pr guys and only play starters for a half. Montreal wins. We play Hamilton in Hamilton and win. Alexander gets hurt 1st quarter east finals. We win. Zach is hurt with 10 minutes to go. We up by 13 tho. Strev comes in. Hands it off and runs and we win but he also gets hurt. Wilson starts the grey cup vs BC. Gets hurt. Artopoeous comes in early and goes 20 Of 22 for 300 yards and 4 TDs as we defeat Nathan Rourke and the lions. But Artopoeous is hurt with 3 minutes to go. No other qb roster, Jake Thomas comes in.. goes 4 for 4 for 58 yards and Castillo kicks the winner with zeros on the clock. Bombers 31 lions 28.
  20. I’m not sure about that. Streveler certainly can’t pass a ball. And Zach, well it ain’t hogan under throwing guys by 15 yards or throwing into triple coverage. Thats on Zach. Streveler is finished tho. Zach if he’s willing to manage the game can be effective still. Stev is finished tho. What’s this game plan to make Streveler effective when he can’t pass sign him as a FB if he’s just gonna run .
  21. To be fair there’s a couple losses that probably should have been wins also. Calgary. Sask. I mean those were last moment losses really. Could have changed the standings significantly but nope. We’d be hosting bc or Calgary. But yes does feel like lots of lip gloss. Lipstick on pig wins. Seems our O struggles when the other team has a pass rush and not so much when they don’t.
  22. Why worry about an extra pick when we didn't play either of our top picks on D at all this year?
  23. "Gritty" (adjective) def: willing to stand mutely and run onto field when told.
