  1. Past hour
  2. It's day 7 of camp. We should not read into it too much, especially at receiver.

  5. Good calls on both but my question would be who comes off?
  6. I think Pokey and White will be good, but itll take a while for every one to get on the same page as zach and the play book. Wr, QB, 2nd De. The spots to fill, and at this point Im ready for us to settle for the DE by committee. And I don't expect any thing of impact to be done at these spots all year. Honestly Im not worried about MCI as a blocker. He progressed a lot last year. I'm pretty confident he will do well. I'm mainly concerned on if he will become a usefull skill position player or not, his potential and draft spot are a lot to not make use of. He has looked better this camp as a tail back though. Novak I think they will find a way to get on. Kelly or stewart will make it as well. I think Kelly early, but I think we scored on Stewart.

  13. I feel like the yare all looking for a kenny lawler clone, as if to prove we can pump them out so it wasnt a mistake letting him go twice. I cant believe how few young imp wrs we have in camp right now. And they are all very similar. Atleast throw out some one line daniels and see where he winds, what we can do etc.

  16. Today
  17. Its early but how do you project the Canadians on the roster? Starters: Brady, Demski, Nield, Clercius, Wallace, Neufeld, Eli, Lawson, Kramdi is 9. Back-ups: Cobb, Shay, J. Smith, Cadwallender, Schemkel, Gatkouth, MCI, Peterson, Vibert, Peterson, Ball, Leroux I have it something like this. They could add one more Canadian but that means not rostering KMB which seems dumb to me. Notables not on would be Hallett, Daniels, Corcoran and Novak.
  18. Because O'Shea.
  19. yeah the big question on MCI is can he block esp with the emphasis Condell has put on pass protection.
  20. he did look good...always has had some best hands on the team and is definitely one of the top 5 guys on the squad...Hopefully Condel actually knows how to utilize him better. Why he got bypassed by Corcorran last yr was odd, and did nothing to better the team....but that was last yr...hopefully this yr is different I do like tho what I have seen with MCI's use, and figure he may have a actual role in the offence this yr...If we can get that guy rolling there is a lot of big play potential there, and he has worked on his craft during the off-season...looks like a different back when running the ball this yr, and has a pretty good pair of hands too
  21. Most reports I've seen has had Clercius having a good camp (its not a coincidence thats the one receiver position there is competition for), If we can get this guy going it will go a long way. You're right if we see Corcoran out there I'd be very disappointed as in here we go again with O'Sheas decision making
  22. I wouldnt say locked up....White..Wilson...Demski sure....Neild and Clercius will be more than adequate as a Canadian duo (Starter and main backup/rotation guy)....after that if suggesting starting an inferior Canadian whomever that may be, as locked up then we in a world of trouble, and why even have brought in any imports?..We really...really needed either a big bodied athlete who can win one on ones with athleticism, or just pure fight, or a real dynamic speedster with fast twitch abilities, who can take the lid off a defense and be a threat from anywhere, and we failed in doing that so far. None of the camp bodies currently vying for a WR spot really have any of that...or have yet to show the ability for it. Maybe when lights are on in a pre-season game someone shows up and does it....but what I have seen I wouldnt hold my breath on that, and have a sickening feeling that come game 1 we are trotting out Corcorran as receiver number 5....and that would be an epic failure

  24. we haven't even played a preseason game, the receiver positions are pretty locked up, the vets arent going to go all out in practice, just look at what happened to Knox. I have zero worries about our starters. It does look like the new receivers haven't impressed a lot as they just added another one.
  25. Last night's MVP headliners were a joke, Diaz has no business being in the ring anymore, and the Carano/ Rousey act was a joke.
  26. How high do you think Nield is being rated? What’s been said to make you think that?
  27. While openly admitting that I'm an idiot who doesn't know anything, it definitely APPEARS that receiver is the most concerning spot on the team, followed somewhat closely by QB. -Im not sure that White is the elite superstar they think he is -Im not sure Pokey is better than Just Pretty Good -I don't trust Demski to stay healthy at his age -I think Nield is wildly overrated -Collaros has been trending downhill for at least two years and there's nobody behind him I sincerely hope that none of this ends up mattering in the long run, but ... One week into camp, this is what scares me most.
  28. Yeah....some things changed it seems, but its looking more and more like a lot of same ol same old is gonna occur, tho still early and things can change but i dont see it changing This insistence on starting more than needed Canadians when clearly they are not the best players we could field makes little sense, it doesn't make us a stronger team, and it also weakens the overall depth to accommodate it. Even if we start 3 imports on the oline, we have zero reason to have to go 3 Canadian WR when we will likely have 2 spots on defense that are Canadian spots (DT and Safety) and with guys like Smith/Shay who should be taking defensive reps, along with Gatkouth and Bailey who can go in for a Canadian we have more than enough ways to put 2 on the field any given snap if we declare 5 Canadians on offence and 2 on defense....plus we also can actually utilize the Nationalized player...whomever that may be to eat up some reps. Heck if we felt good enough trotting out Hallett and Kelly all the time...even when we already had enough Canadians on the field and watch them get burned and abused basically every snap they took...I sure we can put Smith and Shay out there...guys with serious upside and skill. Watching a few days of practice and seeing the imports we brought to main camp....it's butt ugly awful recruiting and not sure what we were looking at our coveting...as they all are less than adequate. Demski and Neild/Clercius are fine as the 3 main Canadians...and Cobb be the best "backup" as he serves a multi use role. The other Canadians in no way should be taking regular reps let alone starting a 3rd one. I not including Daniels as he gonna be a role guy and not expected to carry a heavy load and will allow us to not have to dress 7 olineman and will serve a useful purpose My major concern with re-upping Osh was just what we are seeing and this insistence to go overboard forcing this use lesser Canadians as a thing, for no real reason other than his bias for it...or whatever it is....but it's not our best roster when he does it. Thankfully he has seen the light...or he was instructed to play the best player possible at SAM and push Kramdi to safety, I tend to think this was mandated by Walter's and replacing Kramdi if he should get hurt with Kelly..Hallett..Ball...heck even Smith is a 1 player for 1 player swap and less disruptive to the defese when its Griffin or Woodbey manning this spot
  29. The bombers dont have the talent or depth to have 3 starting cnd wr. There should be 3 American spots
  30. I'd like to at least see the new WRs in game action before making any broad conclusions. Realistically it's Pokey and White in the 2 starting American spots so these new guys are battling for spots on the PR or as injury replacements. Dorian Singer looks like he could be a player.
  31. It’s starting to feel like, a week in, it’s business as usual and we haven’t learned much. Still looks like we’re getting ready to trot out 8-9 Canadians for no reason and value experience above everything. It’s hard for these rookie Americans to get experience because irs a revolving door for them by design - we don’t give them experience and then fault them for not having experience. There’s genuinely no reason someone like Gavin Cobb or Joey Corcoran should be taking meaningful reps with the first team at this point in camp. If you can’t find an American rookie that can perform better than 2* Canadian prospects, what’s the scouting department even doing? And the lot default “they’re all starters and the Canadian provides roster flexibility” thing is so hollow, we don’t need the flexibility. We don’t even use the flexibility we currently give ourselves.
  32. Why can't we scout WR?
  33. WR depth seems like it’s going to be a weak point again. American WR to be specific.
  34. Marks looks like TCF tbh. I don't get what our scout team is doing when it comes to looking at WRs.
  35. That relationship caused a “sticky” situation between Rod Black and Dave Stalla
