  1. Past hour
  2. Osh's problem right now is that he has seemingly lost the fire he had early on. Fat and sassy, content with the success. If he can get that fire back he is as good as anyone.
  3. And I shudder to think who we might tag as the heir apparent to O'Shea. There's a dearth of quality coaches in the CFL .. for all our pissing and moaning, we have it pretty good (with that said, everyone has an expiry date).
  4. That's a bit of a stretch. Hamilton at no point says they are interested in him - only that he (Hamilton) would want him, if he was running the show out there. His exact words:
  5. Today
  6. Every team in the league would take him...
  7. According to Jeff Hamiltion in today's Free Press, Ottawa is interested in O'Shea if his time here ends. Would solve two teams' needs at the same time.
  8. Officially a Sold Out Season. Credit to Wade and all the front office staff. Really nice piece from Our Man Tait, talking about the work that's gone into it and I'm encouraged to read that Wade is already planning on "bigger and better" next year, so it doesn't seem like he's going anywhere...
  9. Ah yes ....but it would have been so much better , and an addition to our legacy, leaving with that big shiny Cup....I keep looking for some gratification from our efforts in those losses AND I believe I have found one....I'm pretty sure we hold the record for the team being involved in the most Cup games (29)....not winning them but getting there................................small consolation, but what the hey
  10. This is the correct take...
  11. In all honesty...Woodbey should get the nod even in his limited games...best defender bar none along with Griffin Holm tho not a detriment has had more suck this yr in games than MODP type play
  12. Sure yes crappy three gc losses in a row but rather be put into the position to win being part of the show than yet again watching the show from the sidelines in the cheap seats.
  13. Yeah, I’m pretty sure this sellout streak has already broken records.
  14. Unfortunately the other team in the last three were doing the taking.....we went home empty
  15. Is it not the first full season sell out ever? (In Winnipeg)
  16. 'jawhol' mein bluengold freund....
  17. Well this was random https://people.com/nba-head-coach-multiple-players-arrested-massive-mafia-linked-gambling-scheme-11835565?utm_campaign=peoplemagazine&utm_content=photo&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_term=68fa534dcf016d0001243429&fbclid=IwdGRjcANnPmtjbGNrA2c-ZmV4dG4DYWVtAjExAAEebtzdAzgsCM0r3mmm3IorAm5qj1dmlvXu_ULobuXkuquZGQH_2xeTQ1Blt5w_aem_O62ajNEzmopBsxHb31Sa6Q
  18. Oh dear I hope there wasn't much damage

  20. From Sportsnet: “I mean, I can't generate offence,” said Wolf, the Flames' franchise player, frustrated by his club’s inability to convert more than one of the 37 shots directed at Jakub Dobes. “I do my job, I try to keep the puck out of our net, and hope that our guys can generate a couple. I'm glad we got one there. We got a point, but we’ve got to keep working to find more offence.” He's right but my first reaction was jerkface throwing his teammates under the bus. I rarely if ever hear a player (some coaches do yes) throw his goaltender under the bus in public if the goaltender is struggling. This looks good on the Flames though, now do the Leafs and Wild next please and thank you.
  21. He should also win an award with how much growth he continues to show from day one to now.
  22. Pretty impressive season from a fan standpoint and I *think* it's the first full season sellout since we've been at Princess Auto.
  23. I think the offense is going to want to rinse the awful taste out of their mouth and prove they can actually move the ball, so I expect the 1s to play a couple series... Almost like a pre season game... Then make way for the 2s and 3s.
  24. Looks like the Bombers are going to get their sellout. About 30 tickets left to purchase on ticketmaster. Should be a nice day for football, about 13 at kickoff but a bit windy. I'm just happy because mercifully my kid's soccer tournament didn't schedule her a game on Saturday. FWIW I think you need to go out there and play a full game. I get wanting to keep people healthy or playing for a matchup, but the reality is they haven't played really well in a month... and then even before that back in August. They are on a stretch of 4-4... that first win was against an injured Als team and then you have the 3 pass win against Ottawa, you smoke the Ti-Cats and then barely limp to a win against the B-Squad Riders. They need string 3 good games in a row which they haven't done since the start of the season... might as well make it 4 and start it on Saturday.
  25. Maybe Stanley is starting to figure it out. Time will tell though.
  26. So a couple feel good points but nothing substantial - got it. For you in BC, getting to Montreal or Hamilton might be more of an issue but not for people in Winnipeg. Besides, a handful of Bomber fans in attendance does what for the club? I can't see a huge turnout in any city with the way this team has played this season. Regina might be the only exception to that due to location though. MOS will tell you (as any HC would) that the team will always be playing to win, regardless of who is on the field so I don't think they earn any extra respect there. I'd respect him more for giving back-ups some playing time rather than risking injury to key players in a fairly meaningless game. For me, the upside to 4th is being as healthy as possible and facing either a QB getting his first taste of playoff action or a team we just thrashed a few weeks earlier. We may also get a slightly higher draft pick if nothing else (barring a miracle GC run).
