Former Bombers in NFL (and spring leagues) news
I'm sure they are trying, but the Elgersma hotline is not exactly ringing off the hook methinks. The guy isn't playing and there is a new draft class about to hit with a whole new crop of UDFAs that teams will want to look at. Elgersma's ship has sailed and he is still on the dock thinking it's going to circle back for him. Sad really.

25/26 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season Thread
This is William Stanbeck's retirement announcement on social media. I usually read these announcements & 99% of them all sound the same but this really feels heartfelt. Even though he never played for the Bombers, I'm going to miss him. 3DownNationTwo-time All-CFL running back William Stanback retiresAmerican running back William Stanback has retired after seven seasons in the Canadian Football League. The 31-year-old spent the 2025 season with the Ottawa

In his prime it felt like he was always guaranteed a 5 yard run even if two guys were grabbing a hold of him.

2025 SMS spend?
The last 2 annual reports were released on April 7th and April 9th, respectively, so if that's any indication, we should hear about that any time now.

Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
I'd love to see him start as well, as I dont think the sum of all the parts with us going 3 imports on the oline and sacrificing a key one on defence makes us better. Now if Osh actually uses his Canadian youth on defence at linebacker, as well as Bailey in rotation and we draft another kid who isn't just a teams only ever plug but a potential starter/high upside guy to ease into the defence then yeah maybe it could make sense....But we all know Osh and how he works his roster, and until I see otherwise...I have zero faith he will...let alone knows how to maximize his roster with the best players, and then actually use them

2025 SMS spend?
I don't care about that as much as knowing how much of a profit the Bombers made this past season. Just wondering when the financials will be released.

Random Jets News
Not to mention the fact wtf were the coaches, medical team doing here? He shouldn’t have been given options. He should have been given one option: surgery.

Why haven't we heard whether any teams have gone over the SMS and by how much?

Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
I don't think we start Gabe, and that is the premise of my post. IF he starts, and I don't see where, then I will re-evaluate. I'd love it if he did show enough to get a starting spot tho.

Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
With his injury, he is a year and a half into his career 2 years total. At this point, he is comparable to where Dobson was midway through his 3rd year. Dobson got a huge payday after that 3rd year here as well. If Wallace starts this year, someone is going to offer him easily 250k+ if not more, with what Canadians got this offseason. If he doesn't start, I think his FA floor will likely be 140-150k next year. For me, Id lock him up on that kind of money for 2 more years in a heartbeat. Dobson and Wallace are similar in terms of athleticism level, but are different types of athletes. Wallace's athleticism is much more useful at OL. Dobson is more twitchy, but gasses much more easily. Dobson also struggles to keep his power up when his weight is down closer to inline with what the CFL guards play at. This is why he dipped early from a record-setting mauler early in college to an inconsistent guy up here. He can't play that heavy, and he can't coast on a quarter of his snaps to recover. Especially when he played beside kola. Meanwhile, Wallace is the same road grader in the 4th quarter that he is in the first. It's nice to be able to blow through a DL with an explosive punch move, but its still great to be able to lock up and drive a guy out of the way. Wallace is better in space and pulling as well. I honestly don't know what to expect from us at OL. We are set up to roll extra Imps at OL, but this is a MOS team, and that does not fit his MO at all. I hate it, but I could very easily see us losing 1 or more of Vanterpool, Randolph, and some other really good young guys while we go with 3 Canadian starters and 1-2 Canadian back-ups. For me, as much as I like Wallace, he would be fighting for the C starting spot or the 6/7 ol spot. I do think Eli will be very hard to beat out of the C spot, Vibert is a good bit a head of Gabe as a C as well, and mos likes to carry 2 Cs on the AR. He also loves to carry 7 ol, but with MCI, schmekel and Clercius thats not nearly as needed. He's gotta have a great TC this year to get reps.

Wallace should be an easy extension for KW.

yup....his next deal will be a mid level one...he keeps advancing his play...well in 3 yrs his next deal will be higher end oline pay. I like his current trajectory development wise and by all accounts is a sponge and works hard at getting better, and fully expect him to look down the guard spot this yr...And if Eli is just a competent center at, Broxton anchoring the right side and allowong Neuf just to worry about his job and not having the human pylon to his left that will all add to Wallace really coming on

I believe that Wallace is in a really good position career wise if he chooses to stay. He's not going to find any other OL around the league with a probable starting OG position up for grabs where he would be considered the heir apparent. I'm not sure it takes a huge increase to keep him either, he only has limited play time at this point.

awe he’s dirty award to continue another year you can only learn so much from sitting and holding a clipboard. His biggest challenge is getting up to speed vs the massive step up in calibre from cis to pro. hes not going to get much for reps as the pr or qb3. He’s going to pretty quickly find him self stuck in a spot where hes not good enough to be a qb2/1 and can’t get enough reps/hands on coaching to grow as qb3/4.

Rocker looks to be an interesting signing- comes across in interview as modest and intelligent, with a large skillset as RB, receiver and kick returner.

I hope we sign this RB. Always good to have a fun TCF name to root for.

I disagree. Being on a PR doesn't help his development. Trying out for NFL teams doesn't either. Neither is a series or 2 against the scrubs in NFL exhibition games. He has to play. He has to work to become a starting qb in the CFL. He'll never get a shot to start in the NFL. Yeah, he will make more money on an NFL practice squad but he's closing the door on the chance to start up here & maybe develop into a great qb. He's wasting his time right now. It's hard to believe that he's wearing blinders like a horse. Majority of players would have moved to other opportunities by now.
