  3. Talked to Osh for a bit tonight at TD MB... Classic answers "We need to be better... And we will be...". Ha ha. I chuckled at the non answer of it all. I'm definitely very interested in Walters presser whenever that happens.
  4. I mean, Drake Stoops - got to get him in the line up.
  5. MOS and Walters have their warts for sure. Neither is perfect and as others have said have not performed up to the standards the last couple of years which most of us expect. We probably lost 2 of the last 3 Grey Cups because of poor decisions they made. However having been around when we got rid of Murphy and Ritchie because their teams regressed after some excellent years, but were unable to replace them with competence for many years. I for one am glad we had the foresight to resign both and give them another term at the helm.
  6. Beside the point. The BO contract is not the huge issue it gets made out to be. Other players are not earning their $$, but he certainly is.

  8. I wouldn't say negative. More crotchety. Do you swing a broom at kids on your lawn?
  9. Neither schoen nor streveler had that big of deals last season... whatever cap crunch the Bombers are in is coming from over paying middling Canadians or over the hill veterans.
  10. Suffering through rookie mistakes by promising players also sends a powerful message to both fading/complacent veterans and potential rookies.
  11. i'd rather have a rookie make the odd mistake...and learn and develop than an old guy who justv doesnt have it....or a coach's fav who has no business as a starter...that also equates to losses...likely more, and at same time you arent building depth
  12. risky move....and too much weight given to what he accomp0lished 5 yrs ago now...and since...we been regressing Making playoffs is great....losing for inexcusable and easily preventable reasons is an issue....Osh wont change hu=is ways ....hasnt in 12 yrs. People say he and Walters have earned the right to fix things....well why did they break it in first place?....and since 2021 have had 4 yrs now to "fix" it and if anything we got worse Guess we have to wait and see and give benefit of doubt...Maybe Miller re-upped with the caveat you show a change...or you will be canned The month of January will pretty much dictate the 2026 season with who some the first re-signings are....and if Walter's doesnt get on the podium and state that we are moving on from a whack of guys from the "glory days" half a decade ago now and we moving in a new direction...with that the announcement sooner than later that OC Guy is not coming back but failing to do that....status quo with coaching and how we run camp/practices and award spots with nary a competition.....the early signing of Thomas types...can see a ZC extension as well....among other dumb moves....well 2026 gonna be more the same I have little faith in Osh until he show's different...and if he does he will get my praise for it...I never dumped on him pre 2019...but since 2023 and the continuous blunders that lead to where we are....he has done nothing to get much praise as it got worse yr over yr...so not holding my breath I do expect some guys we dont wanna see leave ....leave tho thing is....RB is a real poor place to have your marque salary in a Canadian where you can get the same or even better production from an import at 1/3 the cost....and who in the CFL pays anything close to what BO gets here? We coulda payed Dobson...easily...but we tied whacks of money into guys Osh valued more....who were not worth it....it's how you allocate money...and where....not so much to who....RB....DB.....LB....Boundary receiver. we have excessive money tied into RB...DB....LB....and it kills us elsewhere...
  13. Neither are overpays as thats what the market is for starting top cdns, just like Dobson,Ford, Mcinnis.robbie Smith etc. For the most part we have been unwilling to go go there so we ended up losing both Dobson and Ford and unable to replace them adequately. We tried to get "deals" which never happened
  14. Between the two I have a tough time seeing demski leaving. Brady I could see, i could see some one giving him an even crazier deal. I mean ford got a mint and he isn’t half the player or marketable asset brady is. Oc is gonna be a key to our team, but im not expecting news any time soon. I think it’ll be late late when they say this is the staff and hogan is back He is. And so is demski. That’s the problem with giving a guy that young a crazy 1-2 year deal. how do you follow that up? The thing is, if we lose either guy we gotta do some thing big with that money. not split it up into 3 base deals on flyers like we did with lawler. facts
  15. MOP a year ago... the whole offense falls completely when he isn't given the touches. NI and local guy and in his prime. You pay him top dollars no questions asked. If you need money maybe save on overspending on import guys who are injury prone (i.e. Schoen/Strev).
  16. If your request is literal, I am all for it.
  17. O'Shea's track record offers much proof that he is unwilling or incapable of learning from his mistakes.
  18. Oh yeah, he's gonna change. Don't be stupid. As far as you calling me, negative? Check the mirror, pal.
  19. Glass half full view is that maybe O'Shea having one foot halfway out the door this offseason is very positive for the next few season(s). If we had just quietly re-signed him and Walters to extensions, they probably just happily carry on with the status quo and continue the decline. I'm hoping that O'Shea going out and interviewing and getting some input from other teams lit a fire under his ass to come back here and do a serious re-load with a fresh outlook and new ideas.
  20. Semantics. He played most of his pro career there and grew up 300 km away. I think you get my point that he chose to stay here over the team he played over 8 seasons for and coached.
  21. Brady IMO is already an overpay.....he is a NI star and a very very good RB, a hometown guy, a really likable guy that fricken saves dogs....but.... If someone else wants to outbid us for him, and build a roster around a NI RB, then honestly let them.....We can't afford to hurt the betterment of the overall roster...same way I felt about Ford last year minus the intangibles....but this year we need help along both lines and that doesn't come cheap....
  22. Im not sure about losing Demski or Olivera, after all how many were convinced that OShea and Walters would be back. I think its more about what happens with the OC position that effects Brady and what we are willing to pay.
  23. We don’t need a superstar coach, we need one who can competently manage the clock, roster, challenges and coaching staff. Mos, is proven with a historically dominant roster. We are seeing what he can do with a roster that isn’t one of the best ever. And it’s an awful lot like what we saw before the run. You’re right that proven coaches are a rare valuable commodity in the cfl. Especially ones you can win with currently. I didn’t have much hope for that for next year. Next to none when dinwiddie went to ott. The hope was we could atleast start to build back to being a good team. That has mostly evaporated. Maybe if we hadn’t seen the same thing for two off seasons in a row. Like I said, i’d be thrilled if i’m wrong and walters/mos really turn over a new leaf. But I sure wouldn’t bet on it. If they do, I’ll happily eat some crow. Probably be very busy resigning the guys who no one else wants to sign lol. I’m glad walters will be back running our draft. The canadian depth will likely be a bright spot for us next year.
  24. Translation: good luck coach, we believe in you.
  25. I know it's fun to think a new coach behind door number two may turn out to be a new superstar coach, but in this case you're hoping that that guy could someday wind up as good as Osh. Good coaches with a proven track record would generally seem a better bet than a new hire. Also to sit here in November and speak so confidently in the roster or staff is something neither of us could possibly know.
  26. If Walters sits on his hands under his fat ass & does nothing again in free agency, we're cooked.
  27. My son Tyler texted me this morning about the shooting of a former college coach at Laney College in Oakland, California. He was very upset & was questioning what is happening to society. Turns out the text was about former Laney College Head Coach John Beam. Tyler played against Beam & Laney College when he was at College Of The Siskiyous as they were in the same conference. Beam saw Tyler throw at a private qb workout on the field at Laney College back in 2011. They talked about him attending Laney College but Oakland is an economically depressed city & the campus at laney is right in the middle of that urbal blight. It's a dangerous place. Poverty, homelessness, drug use & crime was & still is very high right around the campus. When we were at the campus, the police came into the stadium to clear out people living in tents under the stands. Laney did not offer on campus residences so we'd have to have found somewhere for Tyler to live in the Hood, No way he was going there. Then Tyler saw the Netflix series last Chance U that featured John Beam & Laney College. He saw what kind of coach & leader that he was. When he found out Beam was shot dead, I could tell he was very upset. Rest In Peace, John Beam. For everything you did for others, you didn't deserve what happened to you. What a shitty world we live in. https://www.cp24.com/news/sports/2025/11/14/john-beam-beloved-former-football-coach-featured-in-netflixs-last-chance-u-dies-after-shooting-on-california-campus/
