  1. Past hour
  2. I tend to agree with this. I wouldn't pressure much and effectively you'd have a spy with guys like Kramdi, Griffin and whoever else is on the field at LB. If Ford has to hit windows he has no chance. Let him run around in circles behind the line all day, just be patient. Jefferson basically always plays that way where he's reading the QB more than firing off to get to a spot in the backfield and hopefully he can be convinced to play with leverage to contain. When his head is in he can do that quite well.
  3. Hate for him to ask for his release....Play me or set me free....
  4. Can't they have him on the 1 game IR.
  5. if that happens it is entirely your fault. Not really, but still I dont even want to think about it.
  6. We know its going to be Wilson and T.Jones at linebacker. Now does Toronto try to poach J.Jones with their mlb hurt?
  7. Logical works just fine yup.....not so much when we have an illogical HC tho.... If I was coaching I'd swap out T. Jones for J.Jones this game and use a lot of Ayers and Wilson...for all Wilson's bad points (age/abilty to stay healthy) he still is a great sideline to sideline LB and posses pursuit....I can see Ford making T.Jones look silly in space and him not being able to track him down with angles or just plain sprint to the sideline Healthy and available Wilson is still good, and I think he has played better over all than Jones too....he can do more anyway He should be a SAM or HB....He's so good....Bonds too was gonna mention in other thread...guy is legit good as well...and is super smart/aware out there...
  8. I'm a big believer that Masoli is the next blue chip QB coach / OC prospect in the CFL.
  9. Ayers would be a great fit, but Griffin, I like, would be wasted. He's too good at coverage. Broken record, I know, but I would try in practice using Shay/Smith in a rotating spy role. Not only can you use them as a spy, but you can put them in an intermediate zone, or cover hook/curl/flat stuff. That would also allow you to go with a full imp DL.
  10. Masoli at least fulfills the role of mentor which Rourke could benefit from, Buck probably doesn't have time for that and they didn't hire a QB coach.
  11. Same, and I do think it will be a good fit. From all accounts, Jackson and Zach have always had that mentor-mentee relationship. He's an excellent coach, and football mind, with them going so far back Im sure Zach will get the most out of it. Especially if he wants to keep playing past this year. He's going to be a great resource for Wilson and Strevy to.
  12. Hopefully Jackson can fulfill that role, I believe he's the one that told Zach that Strev was playing the last 2 minutes of the game, not sure Hogan would suggest that. Either way, alternative thinking is helpful.

  18. Curious to see if we make any changes on the oline this week.
  19. You need to spy him as he'll just run when he makes his one read & panics if that receiver isn't open. That's all he does is run. He's not good at anything else.
  20. Assuming he's made it to the active roster by then.
  21. He plays more self preservation style now...so they need to customize a lot of stuff for a cerebral style now...he definitely doesn't get the ball out as fast as Strev either...its out of his hands lightning quick...once he gets more reps and a comfort level with the system and his receivers hes gonna be very effective... Cooley runs with speed and violence in traffic...and can still side step guys...he is definitely gonna pop some long runs out of the scrum if he gets more opportunities
  22. You have all your teeth and didn't marry your cousin so don't be hard on yourself lol
