PS Game #2
Sorry if this has already been asked but can we stream the game on cfl+ in Winnipeg or will it be blacked out?

2026 CFL Around The League (Not Bombers Specific)
I see Dinwiddie can’t shake the stink of the Argos. Have I mentioned my disdain for the Argos?

PS Game #2
Agreed. I think Kelly and Hallett will be pushed hard by Stuart and Ball.
-
PS Game #2
Agree...Likely trajectory for him
-
PS Game #2
I feel like Stuart starts on the practice roster but ends up on the AR by the end and shows promise on team with the potential for a year two beakout to rotational reps.

PS Game #2
Yeah he is intruiging and with already in house bigger bodied Clercius..Neild..Daniel's and even MCI with his expanded role he seems like the right fit. Twitchy quick too in close quarters. This allows us to DA Vaval as returner and backup DB so if he needs to play defence Singer can take on some return work so we dont burn him out..
-
PS Game #2
Yeah singer has interesting potential and fit. In catch and run he looks a whole lot like Wilson. But he also has an exceptional ability to take the top off a D. With white, and Demski plus Wilson already able to excel in catch and run, a guy who is a legit deep threat is a great addition. The potential to play a guy like singer off white vs the D is very enticing. Despite his small build and average height, his long arms and tremendous hands give him a huge advantage down field. Athletically he reminds me a lot of Jenarion Grant. A guy who falls into the gaps of combine testing. He's stronger than you'd think with his build, hes more explosive and has the top gear to run away from guys. But he's more of a 5 yard quick and 30/60 yard geared runner.

I only watch tsn for cfl if I being honest I dont think you are far off the mark. International views occur as I know many over seas who view it Also I know Brandon Collier who runs PPI Recruits in Europe uses it for a ways to get guys to be exposed to CFL ball and show there is a pro option outside of the NFL I would also assume global players who have families outside n.america would be using this to watch games

PS Game #2
Yeah..same...was a fear I had since Jan...will we see a surprise cut? Doubt it As i showed on a roster breakdown we can have all of Jones..Wilson..Ayers and Woodbey on roster with a DE to replace Vaughters as well as a rotational dlineman like Jenkins to go with Ceresna...now will we? With Smith and Shay chomping at bit and needing to play..and they can..does it not make sense to dump our oldest/least versatile..thay be Jones and let the Canadians take up the slack..Stuart on roster to grow and use that spot Jones takes up on a true Nose..or even another WR/DB who has return ability? I know thats what I would do...Sadly tho I see Osh again clinging to some aged out guys and sitting promising guys...or just flat out cutting them In all honesty our defence minus a Jones or a Wilson...wouldn't skip a beat..and likely be better Kinda sucks in practice too..what game showed is what practice kinda predicted...tries hard tho haha Yup...he can book his lease for housing...only guy who showed up..showed real potential and he is a returner Osh makes a comment on a guy sometimes and media just runs with it as gospel..as most aren't even paying attention...and at times..not to overly harp on Osh..but i have zero clue what he looking at sometimes

Tbh, the move to tsn wasn't very different. Now, not every game was televised back then. But a lot of people said the same about CBC, at that point too they were on sportsnet and tsn and cbc. as far as the TV deal goes, 0 fault for the league from me. They get to keep TSN money AND add this crazy amount from DAZN? For a league where half the teams are on the verge every single year, its too good to pass up. Im sure the next TSN deal won't be as big, but the combination at that point of both will be silly. Not to mention if the games do well on DAZN, imagine the future growth potential if they want more games or exclusive broadcast rights. The rule changes, are awful for the most part. A couple, like the time changes are good. I hope the league sees this and makes changes/moves back to OG rules quickly. On that note, with the DAZN deal, the league won't be wanting to have a strong negative reaction from fans or too much inconsistency on the field for the first year. I could see them pushing some of the changes back further to have a better debut. You never get to make a 2nd first impression.

PS Game #2
He was the media darling, but imo, hasn't been anything special. Should be his last shot. Imo, Singer has all but made the team already. Could screw it up, but I doubt it. Davis has a shot to stick around with his versatility; Mayes and Womack have outside shots at making the PR. At that, I think 2 of those guys make the club at most. Unless multiple guys really light the world on fire tonight, even then its hard to see 3 of those guys sticking even with IR hiding / PR. At that, I think Singer is the only one who has a chance of giving a first-year Bailey, maybe a first-year Lawler level of production.

PS Game #2
Is Frederickson standing out in practice or this a last shot ala Myron Mitchell?
-
New TV Contract
The sad thing is I think the league feels like rule changes will have a positive impact on their fanbase within Canada too.
-
PS Game #2
Not giving TE or BP much help is an odd way for development. I expect the O to struggle week 1. I think I’d have given Zach and the starters a quarter at the least. Fredrickson must really stand out at practice tho cuz dude sucked during the game.

PS Game #2
Im ready for the disappointment of us being married to Jones-kyrie starting at mac/wil and DIing Ayers.

2026 CFL Around The League (Not Bombers Specific)
How very Farhan of him. Personally, I would put TE on the PR at that point. I think he still has development sitting for a year and watching. Keep brown ready to go and have Bryce do the short yardage stuff. Pretty much. Some teams don't want to sit on a QB controversy, though. It is very distracting unless you have an incredible locker room to manage it. Imo, ott doesn't have that. I could very well be wrong about that. I don't think that Dinwiddie gives a crap, though. I think he's happy to sit on any QB talent he likes. But, I don't think he cares for Brown. Unless mccheese becomes some kind of revelation, I could see him trading for one of his 2 old QBs in toronto. They do need AR assets. Lauther is probably the last K in the league any one would want, and that OL needs work.

New TV Contract
Lack of talent and charisma forces the guy into being a "jerk" to get any sort of attention. I read his post which was complete nonsense. I'd like to think the majority of CFL fans who watch on tv are part of the older demographics who do not engage in online trolling. Soooo the league is changing the rules and field because of International fans or because they are moving towards catering to an American fan......

There was a hint from Darren Cameron on the Handled Internally podcast yesterday that Wade is cooking something up for season ticket members. No details available but it was mentioned around the 9 minute mark of the podcast.

2026 CFL Around The League (Not Bombers Specific)
Might not happen right away but Ottawa may want to get something for him while they can. It's the last year of his contract and I'm testing FA if I'm Dru. He re-worked his contract so the team could be more aggressive in free agency and his thanks was a demotion to go along with the pay cut. Dinwiddie doesn't seem like his biggest fan so he's probably better off elsewhere.
-
2026 CFL Around The League (Not Bombers Specific)
Ya but why would Ottawa want to get rid of Dru? He doesn't have a monster contract. Between him and Mayor they're basically at Kellys pay aren't they? The chances of the Mayor getting hurt behind that OL are likely pretty high right now and they can't afford another losing season, due to injury or not.

New TV Contract
The CFL could easily do this. This is exactly what the NFL does and holds it out as a separate product. In general the inevitability here is the CFL being pressured to be a spring league as a TV property. And that kind of kills the existing business. It’s the typical CFL story of chasing the sugar high unsustainably. Skalbania, McNall, US expansion….
-
New TV Contract
The problem is you're making the CFL less accessible to fans by putting games on an obscure platform... it's a risk and sure they get a big payout now but what if that doesn't last? My opinion the biggest thing the cfl needs is a grass roots effort to get support in all cities. Until they do that the league will always be on the brink of disaster.

Sounds like something they may consider just to get some new people subscribing, much like TSN does with TSN+. You can watch all of TSN CFL games with some enhancements, minus the pregame stuff plus a couple of other sporting events for only $8.00 per month rather than the regular $29.95 to get all of TSN. For me it works perfectly because I'm not really interested in any of the other TSN programing.
