  1. Past hour
  2. The way I look at it is that sports can make me happy, but sports is not allowed to make me feel sad or angry or disappointed or whatever for more than a minute or two. Picked up that attitude in 1996, when I was legit depressed for an entire year after both the Jets and Ottawa Rough Riders went away and people were talking about how the Hamilton Snow Bowl might be the last Grey Cup. There's lots of things to be miserable about, don't need to include my hobbies. Nowadays I'm just thankful for every kickoff. Respect to those whose passion for the blue runs deeper, though.
  3. The person behind the RetrOntario account on youtube has a book coming out next month about kids tv in Ontario (even though I have no nostalgia for shows like Polkaroo)
  4. .......I just turned 80 on June 29th......us boomers are getting a little long in the tooth...BUT I think hanging around on this site helps keep me youthful....Seen many cycles of ups and downs with the BigBlue ....As far as the wins and losses column ...it sure as heck great when we win ...when we lose I get a little dejected but recover quickly and hope to see some light at the end of the tunnel the next game....and just keep on keepin on
  5. Today
  6. .....and that to depends on how you describe options
  7. Another nail... he wasn't an all-star but he played well. You also have to be careful to not buy green bananas.
  8. Whether or not you like the actions of Muamba (and others) to seek the highest return on their efforts, it is a reality of pro sports and in business in general. Soooo getting upset is really futile unless you really need to vent.
  9. probably kelly for reasons... unless parker is ready
  10. I hear you. I just retired in May and turned 80 in July so just enjoying the retirement and while I will always watch every Bomber game I can , and make sure I catch them here in Calgary and when they travel to Edmonton - if they lose I seem to be able to move on rather quickly these days. In the past I took the losses much harder than I do today - After all Life Does Go On! And given I am also a Chicago Bear Fan - I have much more to fret about!😁
  11. Of course but it's not what I had an issue with it was more how he went about it legal and all. But that's just my style. We're all different.
  12. Not to me. I've got no problem with any football player doing anything legal to maximize their earnings. Football sucks as a job and as a Canadian star who's real hard to replace, Henoc is one of the few players who has real leverage in salary negotiations.
  13. Wonder if Walters would try to poach him (assuming he's awake & would notice this move). 2025-09-16 MTL HOLLINS, Alexander WR A Eastern Illinois TRF TO PRACTICE ROSTER Practice Roster
  14. Mmmmmmm sure but his self promoting tours were a bit nauseating?
  15. A db or linebacker that won’t play?
  16. we'd be in Tim Burke territory without those two. have always had special admiration for the Bombers who were great players on bad teams -- Milt, of course. Terrance Edwards, Doug Brown, Joe Lobendahn, Jovon. Henoc Muamba was a beast in 2013 and based on how bad the team was that year I honestly can't blame him for always spurning the Bombers during his annual free agent ball.
  17. So if Griffen is out, I'll assume Woodby takes his spot. Who potentially gets added?
  18. I just wonder how badly we have to bottom out before the brass realizes the situation we are in. It's like they expect us to catch a flukey run, win out to the grey cup then be able to mail it in for another year.
  19. Or as the next game approaches when someone says I think we're close to turning the corner we think
  20. I totally agree but, it used to be more: but now it's more:
  21. Did someone pee in your cornflakes today? Namaste.
  22. Streveler himself said he was just winded really. I mean if you guys gonna double standard this with schoen and that whole mountain out of mole hills crap you should prob not talk of injuries.
  23. I come into each game day with a renewed sense of optimism. I always believe we have at least a chance to win. As I get older, the shittiness of a loss seems to wash away quicker.
  24. Brady needs 101 carries in the final games here to have the same amount of runs as last year. He’s almost at his receiving totals from last year already but needs about just under 600 yards to match his rushing totals. He’s actually average 5.6 per run this year vs 5.7 last but his average catch goes for 9.2 yards as opposed to 8.4 last year. Should definitely be in MOC conversation but probably not MOP since well, the team isn’t as good.
