  3. Other than curling & hockey, sometimes randomly, speed skating, downhill skiing or figure skating what sport do we dominate in the Winter Olympics? We'll win 15-20 medals, maybe 3 or 4 gold medals & that'll be it. Since 2006, that's been our medal count history. In the Winter Olys, the Euros like the Swiss, Germans, Austrians, Italians & the States are the countries that win all the medals. The Russians would clean up as well if they were allowed to compete. I think it was the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, Canada won a silver & bronze & that's it. Two lousy medals for a winter country. Canadians used to make fun of both our Olympic teams as we did equally as bad in the Summer Olympics. We hosted the 1976 Summer Olympics & became the first host country not to wina single gold medal. We were embarrassing as a country.
  4. That's an embarrassment. We should be in the medals for every curling event.
  5. Backups only get a few reps in practice. It's hard for them to progress but when they get their chance they have to show they can play. Davis Alexander proved that. I wouldn't write Terry Wilson off just yet. I like Dinglenuts. That's a good name for Hogan. Just think, the Head Dinglenut made him OC & then when Rome was burning all around him, still refused to make a change because his ego was too big to ever admit he ****** up.

  7. Wise men from far & wide have asked that question for many, many years. It is a question that will be studied by scholars for time in memorial. So, you just realized there was Spanish culture because Bad Bunny made it hip. Like, it didn't mean anything before?? It wasn't cool. I'm not into Bad Bunny's music. I had no problem bein all in Spanish as it was very boring. I had no idea what the context of the props were about other than the sugar cane field. I guess he was singing about Puerto Rico. personally, I didn't care for the show. But I'm 70. I'm not 25 or 46 pretending to be hip. And my music is old anyway.
  8. I'd take MBT as a backup in a heartbeat. We're trying to win a GC next season. Not build a dynasty for the next decade. Then fine, these older players like Bethel-Thompson, Tim White & Demski are here to win today. Who cares about 2027, 28, 29 or 30? We'll fill those holes when the time comes. I hope we sign MBT.

  10. 100% disagree. It's one thing if you have someone like prime Streveler who can be really effective in giving you that kind of look that can put a D off-balance. But for the most part you're not getting that level of production from backup QB's. They have so much information and pictures available now instantly that this tropey **** about "seeing some snaps from the sideline" and putting the backup in just to provide that has no purpose. If you have a weapon like prime Streveler (he was not that guy in his return from the NFL in 24-25), yeah use him. But that's pretty rare. I don't think you'll see someone play consistently bad and not get pulled if there's a belief on the team that the next guy up would perform better overall.
  11. pretty much average usage in an outlier year league wide. Lots of injuries to qb 1s, idk if any qb3 seriously stepped up. some teams like edm had poor qb play and flipped between two guys. Has wilson had a great opportunity? no. has he had opportunities? yes. has he shown any growth, no. Is the whole league drowning in poor qb play, oh hell yes. Any good/easy answer for a qb2? nope.

  16. See this is where I think this approach is more complicated than meets the eye and I don't necssarily agree ZC given full reign no matter what trumps all of the other benefits of changing things up. Yes of course your #1 guy is your #1 guy and needs to know that by giving him tons of rope to works things out when he needs to. However in the same breath, a coach also may need to make some tough decisions at certain points in the game if he's not progressing thru his struggles (not someone else's struggles, his struggles) and give the 2nd QB a few reps so he can maybe see the game from a different view, give him some time to collect his thoughts, have a chat with the QB coach whatever he needs to do to reset. I think it's finding that balance of ZC knowing he's the man with we are good to go if we need to change things up to get us back into the game.
  17. hmm I wonder what will have the post-game slot, I'll be it will either be American Idol, one of the Bachelor Nation Shows, or one of the 911s (give me a reason to stay up for the whole thing) (for context next years game is going to air on ABC in the US)
  18. that would be a big surprise to see. Dude lets players play through their struggles and doesn't even like to take out Collaros when the Bombers are on the good side of a blowout. Not pulling struggling Zach doesn't bother me so much -- Zach's upside is far far far greater than that of a Terry Wilson or even a Streveler. Multiple times over his career he's gone from zero in one quarter to hero in another. If it was someone like Taylor Powell or MBT or Brown on the bench behind Zach, someone who's proven he belongs in the CFL, I might feel different. So unless MOS abruptly changes his ways, only a ZC8 injury will result in significant backup reps. Zach has been actually been pretty durable the past few years -- started all 18 games in 2022-2024 and started 13 last year, and one of his missed games was the BS piss test one.
  19. I wonder how what his snap count would have been if Strevy doesn't blow out his knee? The only game Wilson saw action beyond short yardage was the last game of the regular season when ZC was sitting and then Strevy went down early. Took a worst case scenario to see what he could do (to be expected for QB3 though) and what we saw wasn't good.
  20. And don't forget the Seahawks punter, he had a real good game. And I really dig the Puerto Rican and Caribbean culture especially after the half time show.
  21. His highlights remind me a lot of what Streveler looked like pre injury but maybe not quite as quick. He has a great ability to escape from pressure but he doesn’t look comfortable at all in the pocket.
  22. For sure, our #2 reps are going to have to be paramount if we go with a rookie, last year they were paramount with Strev because he was struggling and that unfortunately probably kept Wilson off the field.
  23. Or in swapping if we are late in a blow out
  24. Regardless of who takes our #2 spot this coming season, my hope is MOS and company have a little less anxiety in using QB2 when/if ZC consistently struggles during the game.
  25. Thanks Wbb, so what we are seeing is that the Bombers QB 3rd string usage, except for QBs playing up the depth chart due to injury, is actually right on pace with the rest of the league. A couple of outliers in Walker and Morgan who both ended up in 2nd string and made starts prior to any drop back snaps so it really was more a case of a couple guys who either weren't really third string (Walker) and another who was on a team with a rash of QB injuries. Rest of the numbers are all within the same relative range as Wilson.
  26. I kind of saw it as a live Music Video.

  28. Sure. These are the drop-back snaps for QBs who were the QB3 overall or at some point. BC, Masoli had 91, Brice had 4. Cal, walker 66, vaughn 32, love 8 Edm, snider 0 Ham, Dole 0, powell 9 Mtl, Morgan 98, Evans 37, Dukes 2 Ott, Adams 69, Shiltz 57 Sask, Coan 9 To, Duggan 20, Horn 14 Again, Wilson had 26. Pretty bad for sure. Bellefeuille was a chunk better than hogan still imo. Wr core, bit of a push imo.
  29. I forgot about that... the pain of losing him has forced me to take that memory away :) I think he was given his play time based on injuries to the other qbs.
