  2. From Sportnet: "Last game, we were like a 50-50 team, is the best way I can put it. There was 50 per cent of our guys that I thought really worked really hard and were committed and then I don't think we had enough from the other 50. And he would fall into that category," Huska said about the decision to scratch Sharangovich, per Wes Gilbertson of Postmedia. "You can't make a 50 per cent change, but certain areas that weren't acceptable, we can change a few. So it happened to be him." Ryan Huska, who comes across to me as calm personable articulate kind man, sort of the opposite of a guy like John Tortorella, sends a message to a player. It was how he said it that impressed me. I think our man MOS, who is an outstanding football coach, could learn from other professional coaches like Huska where sometimes it's not what you're saying, it's how you say it that is tres important. And I'm sure Huska has also had an in locker-room direct convo with his player (s) balancing in-house matters that stay in-house with using other venues to send needed messages to his players. Oh and I hope we pound the Flames tonight. 🙂
  3. They are usually well known. It's just you don't cancel a game on spec and always hope the storm will miss. I was a season ticket holder for a long time and when the forecast said T-storms, there were almost always T-Storms, but games are not cancelled until the storm actually hits. I agree, plus he has never played a playoff game. I'll take a newb QB to the playoffs over anyone with experience. It's a different animal in the playoffs.
  4. There were only three left this week johnzo with two strikes and Wanna Be Fan Boy and TBURGESS with four strikes since they can't tie johnzo up this last week he is the winner Congradulations johnzo.
  5. Today
  6. I wouldn't be surprised to see MTL play their starters for 3Q+ next week. Alexander has missed a lot of time and last week didn't always look like he was on the same page as the WRs.
  7. Only thing I know about the playoffs is that if BC slides into the crossover spot, the Lions / Als ESF is gonna be an absolute slobberknocker.
  8. Griffin back would be nice... but the team will likely scratch Woodbey to make room for him... one of the few bright spots from our pitiful 24/25 offseason...
  9. Meh, he's banged up again and due for some win regression.
  10. And get absolutely stomped by Davis Alexander in the first game. Meh. I'd be just fine going through the West.
  11. I forget which NFL (?) coach said it emphatically, but "you are what your record says you are", and slice it any way you like, this is a mediocre team.
  12. This could be all immaterial in the east when Ham clinches first with a win playing the hapless Two Colors.... Montreal will be playing their second stringers against us and set the table for the crossover ....most likely against us....IF we can put the Als away we play Ham in the east final ...We would have to put together an A game effort to make the Cup game ... We have already proven we can beat them ...With all the cards on the table who knows....this is the CFL...After a quick summary of this post , I'm most likely dreaming in technicolor, and the pie in the sky take is definitely inundated with crazy ultra Bomber positivity
  13. 0-3 vs Calgary and very nearly 0-3 vs Sask. I'd much rather go through the east.
  14. I think Demski is likely done for the year.
  15. Now IF we could predict the storm ferocity, when those pesky lightning and rain deluges occur mid summer, that can delay the game for hours on end, we'd have something....Mother nature still has the upper hand I'm afraid ....wind, rain and otherwise still very unpredictable

  17. Not true. We have the season series against the Lions so we only have to tie them. Stamps should beat the Elks so that would be a tie for 2nd place possibly on the line. Will the Lions beat the Riders on the road? Riders most likely resting starters again, so it looks like a cakce walk for them. The problem is that they play after we play, so it needs to be full steam ahead and let the chips fall where they may. Laughable
  18. I think Week 9 against Toronto (3 DST TDs), Week 11 vs Ottawa (In the last minute Ottawa returned a TD off a field goal, picked off Collaros but Castillo nailed a game winner with time expried), Week 16 vs Ottawa (3 completion game) and this game were all ... fortunate wins. Losses where they were unlucky not to win,... Week 10 vs Calgary, you'd probably like a LDC/BB split, that 2 pt to Schoen would have just tied it, and the Bombers did absolutely nothing after Collaros got hurt in the Banjo Bowl, Bombers had lots of good chances late Week 19 vs the Elks as well. If all of those go your way, Bombers are sitting on 12 or 13 wins... if they all flipped the wrong way they are near the bottom of the league on 5 wins.
  19. Yea, we really do have a pretty nicely designed stadium for sure.
  20. Also when they play at home, PAS has a sunken bowl design which (theoretically) should help mitigate wind conditions. I've often noticed the flags over the concourse blowing in the wind but the flags on the goal posts are hanging limp so it seems to work, at least to a certain extent.
  21. Bud Grant certainly had a strong point back in the day of weather balloons and getting your weather information based on 24 hour old information through the CBC. Nowadays we have up to the minute forecasting available on the internet. Not the same thing. If the wind is likely to die off during the game, our coaches know it before the coin flip.
  22. yeah I called this
