  1. Past hour
  2. RIP. Good dude. In a way it’s fitting he passed today so the Ticats can honour him with his former club present.
  3. Culture there
  4. Over under on Lawler...150 yards and 2 scores? Based on the defensive front we have stumbling out...BLM gonna prob have ample time to find guys No way with our pop gun offence and leadership are we gonna win a shootout...and I sure we gonna hemorrhage 25+ points against
  5. I didn't notice that Reavis was fined already this season for a high hit on Rourke. So probably the case that this is almost entirely a repeat offender thing no?
  6. I am the first one to criticize this regime these days, but Lawler always has a Jake Thomas sized chip on his shoulder. That's just who he is.
  7. If Mitchell out produces Lawler, we have a good chance of winning.
  8. Terrible. I met Ted on a few occasions and he was a good guy. Really interesting person to talk to…. Had lots of good stories. RIP Ted. And yeah… **** cancer.
  9. Simple test on sideline would almost confirm it. The club and Tait had said he tore it I know for a fact he tore it...but won't say names here That's all I need to know it was mishandled and incompetence basically cause we were desperate with where our roster was at Desperation....par for course...how many guys over last 3 yrs did we dress and play who clearly couldn't perform? That's what happens when you have a stubborn coach who only knows how to lean on his vets and favs until they have nothing left..and have minimal to contribute...and even then takes a serious injury to take em out of lineup Not sure why u keep this partial tear thing going? U are not correct You don't graft in a whole new ligament for a "partial tear"
  10. Wow I can’t believe it. RIP Ted. Just a tremendous loss for the league. My condolences to his family.
  11. https://www.instagram.com/p/DOgRiryDbSQ/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Ted Goveia has passed away
  12. CJ Marino needs to be out of this league. This is two QB now he has targeted with dirty hits and injured. We didn't the original Marino more rope than that. There is no place in pro football for players who behave like this.
  13. Today
  14. Did they let him? Or did he not come clean to training staff until after the game? You don't know, and neither do I. Sometimes a player will hide the extent of their injury in order to keep playing. You are making the massive assumption that Schoen went immediately to the trainers and that they pulled out their portable MRI and were able to conclude it was fully torn but they put him out there anyway. Nope, not how it works. He was coming into the game with a partial tear so you expect some discomfort etc. The training staff were likely all over him after every series asking him how it felt etc. If Schoen doesn't come clean there isn't much any team can do. Players do it all the time, and a lot of guys end up in a lot of medical trouble after because they hid injuries from staff. It is football culture to do so to some extent. You are assuming that it hasn't. We are all working off of 3rd and 4th hand information that someone overheard someone mention that is a cousin of someone in the dressing room and people are eating this crap up because we are unhappy with how this season is unfolding. Wild speculation is not fact, and I have not seen a shred of reputable information suggesting that the Bombers knowingly rolled out Schoen onto the field with a fully torn ACL. None, zero, zip. If you have any links to his medical report, and comments from our training staff supporting this wild speculation I will listen. Until then this is gross rumor mongering and quite frankly nothing but a witch hunt., The pitchforks are out, and I get it they should be, but let's pull them out for the facts not conspiracy theories.
  15. That needs to be investigated by the league and PA.
  16. Keys to the game? Key 1 is this is a must win game. But more than just a win, we need a momentum builder, a jumping off point to finish the year strong. Key 2 with Zach out we need a strong run game. It's going to be harder with vanterpool off, and with Shades calling the plays on O. But we need a monster game from brady. Key 3, Tackling. We can't give an offense like hamilton free or easy yards. We need to wrap, tackle and gang tackle on first contact. Players to watch, Brady, OL, Wilson, Demski, Mitchell (needs to step up and earn his spot or lose it), Wheatfall (needs to re find his early season form and bring the premium play his position demands) Kyrie (how healthy is he, will he diminish being banged up) Person (will his reps on D manifest or will he ride the pine) And houston (will he be the gambler or has he wisended up)
  17. Even if he fully tore it after he came back, they still let him finish the game knowing it was re-injured. By their own admission, he got hurt again early in the LDC so why was he out still there?
  18. Disrespected because instead of trying to re-sign him, they went after Mitchell first. Didn't even receive an offer until the day before FA opened. His agent only had 2 brief conversations with them during the off-season. They wanted to let the market determine his value rather than coming to an early agreement, Bombers shut down his side business working in grassroots football in the city. Said it wasn't that they didn't want him doing it but they wanted it to be under their organization so his work permit got cancelled.
  19. I get what you're saying and I don't entirely disagree. Though in a championship game, a back up qb should not beat you. Also, I don't think Arbuckle was the guy last year he is his year. I'm also not entirely sure how much of his performance is putting up stats on a bad team. MTL was really well coached as well as toronto, If we didn't spot each of the last 3 GC competitors with significant roster advantages, we could've won all of em. especially if our prep, execution, and game plans were on par with what we played against.
  20. fact of matter...he fully tore it in cgy.....and should have been shut down....you cant rehab a torn ligament with a stint on the 6 game and from my understanding he fully tore it originally and had to have a hamstring graft to repair....so tells me a complete acl replacement. None the less....should never touched field after CGY re-injury as per the @SpeedFlex27 discussion....I have my concerns about player safety as well from all the guys we trotted out the last 3 yrs who shouldnt have been out there There is a a line one would hope that you have where the risk is not worth the reward....I think we did/do it due to woefull depth....and lack of trust in all these #1's because they never get any opportunity to gain meanigfull reps/experience in-season so it is decisions born out of desperation really....and all points back to HC and G.M
  21. Has Ty Jones once said: "Turn the Ti-Cats into ***** cats!"
  22. if kenny lawler thinks his last contract here was playing at a discount, he’s lost the plot. he was making 285k+ Also, for a guy who crapped the bed with his own pass port status and missed a big chunk of a year, and missed them with a dui incident, he doesn’t get to complain about his work status with us. I love the guys talent, but he’s tough to listen to at times. He is right though, that the bombers did a piss poor job of trying to retain him, as we’ve often done in free agency the last several years. Seriously, has taman been face off’d with walters or some thing?
  23. He tore it fully when he came back, it was not fully torn prior, and I agree that it isn't probably the wisest move to play a guy on a partially torn ACL but that wasn't the discussion I was having with SpeedFlex. He accused the Bombers of disregarding player safety, I took issue with that assertion. He was given the option to rehab the tear by medical staff, that is how we know it was a partial tear. Fully torn ACL is automatic surgery and quickly before the two sides of the ligament contract. No medical staff in the world would let a player go out on a full tear.
  24. I mostly agree with the above points. But based on the way Arbuckle has played this year, and the shutdown D and solids STs that the Argos had last year, last year's GC was not the gimme that many believed it was
