Lost in this solid start for the Jets is they’re doing it without 3 key players. It’s pretty impressive, but doesn’t seem to be getting much acknowledgment.

Given the sheer number of injuries at the QB position in the NFL this season if he had *any* shot at a roster (PR or otherwise) it likely would have already come. I'll never begrudge *any* athlete who chooses to chase a dream or maximize their earning potential but (selfishly), hope he and his team read the writing on the wall sooner than later.

I'm rolling with Elgersma over Dru at this point. Dru has shown two things in Ott. He can't stay healthy (some on bad hits, some on no hits) and he throws untimely interceptions. I know...neither were a problem when he was here and conveniently had the best Oline and stellar receiver running backs etc. I'm betting potential with Elgersma.

A Dru Brown is a Dru Brown, but an Elgersma could be anything! He could even be a Dru Brown! You know how much we've wanted one of those!

Elgersma needs to come up here next year. That said, I'd trade his rights for Dru.

Maybe some team was telling his camp something that didn't come to fruition... you would think being on a CFL roster and practicing week-to-week then entering back into the window would be preferable for a CIS guy rather than sitting around for a season working out by himself but who knows. Obviously baseless speculation, but something smells with Brown being shut down early in Ottawa. I wonder if they enter into a full rebuild if he could be pried out and the rights to Elgersma be the piece... would the Bombers never do that in a million years thinking they have the next Rourke? Would the Redblacks jump at the chance thinking they'd have the next Rourke?

Logically I agree with this. There’s nothing to think our O can actually put up more points than the other team can. But on the other hand, you gotta believe. But logically I think I believe we get our asses kicked. But man these are exactly the teams that end up winning the cup lots of times in the cfl. I mean they could get hot. There’s nothing to suggest they will but they could and then who knows. I’m not counting on it but let’s just say it wouldn’t surprise me if we end up going to our 6th straight cup.
