All I’m asking is for us to be way more creative and strategic with our back up QB’s other than taking stats, as a holder and short yardage. Being stuck in this mindset of live and die with your QB1 no matter what has its benefits but also has huge drawbacks imo. Just find the sweet spot of #1 guy being complemented with certain schemes with back up Qb’s that play to their strengths and development needs. Thats how coaches earn their paycheques.

Exactly. I don’t get it. So O’Shea tells the GM he can’t spend money in FA last year but magically this year he’s ok with it? You’re totally right. Who knows why they were holding back, maybe there was a plan to save some money because they had someone on their radar but it didn’t materialize, maybe they didn’t have the money to spend, impossible to know.

Ottawa not messing around right now either... Seem to be signing up just about everyone available. Dinwiddie gonna turnover that roster in a big way.

And it also pays that we turn a healthy profit to assist with signings.

Broxton is a nice surprise. Nield is a nice add. Ceresna would be great.

Methinks they listened a little too much to Osh with his desire to play his way past the post faves which mostly are gone.

Love it! Nield is a baller. 6’3 he’s a big target, only 26.. I can see him taking the next step here in Winnipeg. Surprised we were in on Braxton but pleased. Put Stanley at RT, put Randolph back at guard where he was dominant at, have Wallace and Vanterpool at the other guard position and let Eli take charge and all of a sudden we have a great O-line. Also a little surprised about Moxey. DB’s is one position we seem to be able to recruit well but he’s a good player and will be a welcome addition.

Sadly...this the stuff we shoulda been doing last yr...smh Visions of Ceresna and Lawson consuming the attention of the entire enterior oline...and a rb kept in for pass protection...and having athletic ends attacking 1 on 1...or cutting inside with a dude like Griffin or Woodbey flying off the edge...delicious

Ok, well colour me surprised.....Broxten....We may very well put the best O-line in the league on the field this year...a luxury, but was not expecting this.... Moxey, rounds out the backfield with great experience Neild arguably the top CDN receiver available....Really love this get Maybe Ceresna also....... I wouldn't mind Kicking the tire on Baldonado

On defense, if we add Ceresna then we may want to look at smaller parts like Lorenzo Mauldin who might be a 1 year filler who could fit in. Either way, a huge upgrade. I'll pilot the boat.

Hoping that the proximity of Winnipeg (vs Ottawa) to Edmonton helps seal the deal, unless Ottawa just offers an absolute boatload of cash...

I not sure Ford has the accuracy...or a proper platform/mechanics to be an actual passer other than the off script and sandlot type stuff. As a legit dual threat qb...don't see it...but as a change of pace guy...or a 2nd QB on the field with the right plays drawn up...could be valuable, but any notion he can be a legit starter....dont see it...hopefully he does too and accepts a new kinda role for himself

Crum is an example of running until you learn to read and he's thrown as many picks as TD's. I'd take him over Powell, not that it matters now that Powell signed with Edmonton.
